We have several hypotheses about how life started, none are proven. However, of critical importance is the fact that not having a scientific explanation in no way means that "god did it".

A mutation that would give the creature benefit? It's no secret that we have improved brain capacity over an ape, which is the result of gradual beneficial mutations over a very, very long period of time.
Obviously the most helpful mutations are the ones to go on and be further improved.
I'm assuming that's what you mean. If you're asking for an example of an instance where a genome would naturally gain complexity, you can see to down syndrome.

Actually, evolution is pretty much an axiom (that is, an accepted truth). The only thing that remains simply a theory is the process.
Reproduction is the foundation of evolution, it is literally the changing of DNA. I never implied that a creature could only evolve into another version of itself. I was saying quite the contrary. Over time it would be a completely different species.
And, I don't believe in anything but what seems most logical and likely. Faith is not involved.

The eye did not just form itself. The religious mind just sees evolution as "chance". It is not chance at all. More like a process of accumulation, something creationists don't seem to get. Evolution has the burden of evidence, and a theory in science means it has to be backed up by a lot of evidence before being introduced. Also, do not treat atheism like a religion. One thing seperates the two: evidence. If science was in favor of creationism, it wouldn't have a hard time right now, would it.

The theory of evolution is not dependent on Abiogenisis to validate the overwhelming proof there is for evolution. Abiogenisis is a fact, but the theory of evolution applies as long as there is life.

Since human children take quite long time developing compeered to other animals, the adoption to drinking domesticized mammals milk was definitely a favorable mutation.

Thomas Edison heavily influence by Tom Paine, Paine however wasnt an Atheist. Neither was Albert Einstein.

They were Christians, which isn't at all the same thing as a creationist. Even Catholicism and Orthodoxy, the two by far biggest denominations, has denounced creationism and advocate the theory of evolution. Creationism is considered an insane, dogmatic, indoctrinating American cult by the rest of the world.

Homology. All vertebrates have roughly the same building"plan".. Even snakes. There are snake species with rudimentary legs, only to be seen when you look at the bare skeleton.

I dont think I evoled from rocks! rocks are not alive, rocks don't reproduce, rocks are inanimate. we evoved from prior orgaisims not from rocks. but does your book the bible not say god made adam from the earth (rocks) and eve from a rib (common ansastor with rocks). Rock on buddy!

Plus, Darwin was a christian and only became atheist in the end of his life for quite bad (emotional) reasons, not because he thought that evolution meant that the God of the bible could not exist if evolution was true

Consider this, at the time of Darwin the standing Theory was that God created living beings and the vast majority of scientists were christians. Darwin succeded to convince virtually all scientists that he was right. Why do you think that was?
