A MUST WATCH!! video(DOT)google(DOT)com/videoplay?docid=7926958774822130737#.. "HACKING DEMOCRACY" documentary....EVERYBODY upload this..they took it off YT!!!!
An upright and honest man like Ron Paul -- who would probably be able to bring the US in to a path of true Liberty and Prosperity (not the lip service freedom or borrow and Squander, as practiced by most past presidents) -- may not get the ears and hearts of the people. The American people are made in to blind followers by the majority of the private owned media which wouldn't give Ron the chance to reach the attention of the people. I wouldn't've known about Ron, if it were not for the internet
If the main stream media shuns Ron Paul.. then it's up to all of us to make him VISIBLE.. purchase or make lawn signs.. t shirts.. bumper stickers.. NOW.. and give them out to your friends.. and don't stop spreading the love until Ron Paul is in office.. for those who are younger.. i suggest Ron Paul bracelets.. very affordable. If interested you can go to 1) cafepress (Ron Paul) 2) RonPaulswag (dot) com VISIBILITY IS KEY
Bullies bashing on Ron Paul supporters.. better understand that they too are in a pickle.. and if Ron Paul "doesn't have a chance".. as most RP shunners do.. well.. you then don't stand a chance either.. (unless you have stored gold in your basement).. Ron Paul or bust.
@resistandexist100 Reality stings don't it. Ron Paul is an internet meme. He has no real shot. Whether it be due the masses not buying into him (the US looks to the media to tell them who to vote for, and every TV outlet passes Paul off as a no real chance joke) or corporations not buying into him. He has no shot.
Also, what would bring the USA out of this funk would be to eliminate the EPA, and start using our own vast energy resourses, so we could stop buying oil from the countries that hate us.
This guy has some good ideas, but he is a flake. At the debate, he basically said to let Iran have nukes. And that is crazy, because it is Irans intention to use them to blackmail the middle east and perhaps destroy Israel. He seems old feable, and overall, he does not seem presidential. Besides, he has ABSOLUTELY no chance of becoming president, so why waste your time? A vote for him is basically a vote for Obama..
You are in NO position to call Ron Paul a flake. As he stated, we dealt with the USSR , China, and NK having a gazillion nukes, and we did not have to go to war with them. You would have the US get into another war with a country than as big as Iran and Afghanistan put together, and with more military capability. Are you still drinking the Bush-Cheney Kool-aid?
@LisaRuban how is he a flake. He finished second in the straw poll by only 152 votes to Bachman. Her theocratic views will not fly with anyone outside her narrow wing of the GOP. Tim Pawlenty didn't get half the votes Ron Paul got and then promptly dropped out.
As far as I can tell, the only reason that Ron Paul has no chance of winning is because a lot of people (especially the media) keep saying he can't win. I forget what that mentality is called but I'm sick of it.

@Knightmessenger "Her theocratic views will not fly with anyone outside her narrow wing of the GOP." HER Theocratic views? I must have watched a different vid than you. Bachman is agreed a theocrat, that frankly is batshit crazy, but I heard Paul go on about pro life because of the "Creator" In fact I heard him refer to the Creator over and again in this vid. How is he lacking in theocratic views?
@Knightmessenger I dont doubt that in his own idealistic way that Paul believes fundamentally in individual freedoms, however, he does so without looking at the lessons of the past. Using the semantic term "corporatism" belies the way corporations got the way they are today. Stripping the federal government of any power to hinder overreaching corporate interests simply hands the power to those with money. Is that really the ideal? Its just feudalism with a different face.
@howlingwolf8 other way around. It is the government power to "protect" us from corporations that enables companies with money and influence to manipulate the laws to their advantage. People with money have power now only because government has power.
Remember, only the government can use deadly force to accomplish its goals. No matter how much money they have, a corporation cannot point a gun at you and demand you buy their product, they have to convince you to purchase voluntarily.
@Knightmessenger No but a corporation can use their vast power to intimidate its employees. Can use its vast power to evade punishment for violating labour codes and environmental legislation, But should we have this Paulite Libertarian ideal, those laws wouldnt even exist, so no laws are broken when they abuse their workers and the communities that they exploit to make money. Those powers and laws exist because of hard fought struggles to protect people.
@howlingwolf8 that's my point, what is the purpose of having all these laws if the really corrupt corporations will find ways to evade them.
If a company treats its employees poorly, they will look for better working opportunities. How can you exploit someone if they consent to such an agreement?
Isn't it better to let a company openly show they could care less about their workers than make all these laws that force them to pretend to care. Then you know right away which boss will be hell.
@Knightmessenger Do you think that the railway workers that worked themselves to the bone for next to nothing consented to their exploitation? Do you think the people of one small town after another that gets raped of its health and natural resources consents to be exploited? What is needed is NOT less laws to protect the people, but more enforcement, and less loopholes around those laws.
@Knightmessenger the thing is that the US HAD what Paul talks about, and this is the result of that Free Market libertarian ideal. Because businesses inherently only care about money, and workers are afraid to not have a way to feed their families, the exploitation happened, then unions came about, no, not a perfect solution, but all a union really is, is workers organized to stand up to the companies in order to get fair treatment, yeah I know power is abused there too, but thats freedom lol.
@howlingwolf8 Well, those workers could have always gone back to being farmers but nobody seems to question why they didn't to escape such oppressive living standards.
Unions did help get better working standards but they didn't need (often protectionist) government regulations to do so, bargaining with employers is simply utilizing a free market system to bargain for a better agreement.
@LisaRuban My dear you are wildly misinformed and this no chance of winning thing is nonsense and needs to stop being said. Bachmann wont be Obama she is a religious nut. No one likes Romney or his romney care and newt is a puppet. First off if you knew your history you would know one of the reasons middle eastern nations are hostile with us is our support of Israel and their abusive actions. You say not presidential. What is your presidential a liar in a blue power suite? I admire honesty!!!!
The trouble with the truth is that it's what you always need to hear; and that's what makes some people uncomfortable with Ron Paul -- he tells the truth.
Don't agree with everything RP says (no one can agree with anyone completely).. but he is the only candidate with common sense.. integrity.. and true determination to turn things around here in America.
@JuliusCaesar1914 The middle east has been controlled with CIA assassinations, propped up dictatorships all on the U.S. dollar and u.s. pentagon's strategy of geopolitical control. Muslims fight eachother, they want to establish a stable region but never can because its underminded and completely corrupted by the dictatorships the USA keeps installing. You don't understand a damn thing about foreign policy and war, and making peace . You have no idea how to defend a nation and its ideals.
@JuliusCaesar1914 Blowback did not cause Pearl Harbor. Acts of war by Franklin D.Roosevelt caused Pearl Harbor. Roosevelt put an embargo on all Japanese oil and froze their financial assets as an act of war...because Japan wanted a cut of the repayments from Germany under the treaty of versailles. England and U.S. cut the Japanese ally out of the pie piece and turned against Japan. Japan's oil being embargoed created a domino effect and invasion of Indochina. WW2 was instigated by westerners.
@JuliusCaesar1914 You never read about blowback? You probably never read about the Soviet /Afghan war. You probably never figured out that a war against "religion" cannot work if you believe in individual liberty. Are you a totalitarian?
@JuliusCaesar1914 WOW really?!Are you fucking stupid? GO FUCK YOURSELF, you don't know SHIT about history, and you don't know SHIT ABOUT WAR.GO FUCK YOURSELF in the face. fucking neo-con pile of shit. Not only is what you say PURE EVIL! you are EVIL.EVIL EVIL EVIL. FUCKING BEYOND EVIL. and you wouldnt even win that kind of war because its an abstract "thought crime" war as you put it. You would wage war against a "thought crime" of religious beliefs. GO FUCK YOURSELF.ignorant bitch, learn history.
@mrgeestacksalot neo-con bitches dont like the truth.they wont send their fuckin families overseas to die and bleed and get mamed for corproations...but they sure wanta send everyone elses sons n daughters over seas to bleed.FOR WHAT?for money and political gain.neo-con bitches dont give a FUCK about anyone or anything...all they have in their mind is "kill kil kil kil kill" and history lessons wont teach them, and if you get in their way they call you anti-american.I fuckin HATE neo-cons.
@howyoudoinralph You are a total dumbass. Goes to show how much you know about war and borderlines .Barrack Obama sent the u.s. military covert operation in a NUCLEAR ARMED NATION!YOU FUCKTARD.DO YOU HAVE ANY FUCKING CLUE WHAT THAT MEANS!?ARE YOU FUCKING STUPID!? GO FUCK YOURSELF and get a brain.
@mistermassive1 Ron Paul's ideas are complex, deeply thoughtful, and consistent. His example was a statement of his personal experience, not his political policy. In the case of earlier-term abortions, he is on record as stating that, as in all areas, force is not the answer. the federal government must be out of all medical decisions period. Among the states people can more influence their representatives, and there is the option of either moving or medical care in another state.
If what I understand is correct, Ron is simply saying the federal government has no place in the abortion business, any funding or support of this procedure should come at the state level, I can totally agree with that.Feds have their fingers in too much of our lives as it is.
Disappointing speech. Liberty is not about being pro-life, it's about being pro-property. It's only pro-life in the sense that one has property in themselves and therefore has the ultimate right to make decisions on their own behalf, and a right to defend themselves from aggression or intrusion.
Ron's pro-life stance is one of the only areas I disagree with him, though it's understandable given how many babies he's delivered.
That's a rather touching story and I believe it's true.. I'm pro-choice but I think that knowing that about Ron.. and knowing that he does not want the Fed to regulate abortion makes me feel a lot better about Ron on this issue.
Why Ron Paul is the MOST pro-life, MOST conservative, and MOST Christian. People think that yelling loudly, like Santorum or Bachman does saying "I AM CHRISTIAN!" somehow makes them so! Sorry friends....the neo-con version of Christians is believing in the good things (family, pro life, government not stealing our money) but yet have the same JIHAD (holy war) mindset of the muslims. Warmongering IS NOT CHRISTIAN!!!
Long live Ron Paul! Our country and the world needs him for a long, long time. It is so wonderful to hear truth and reason instead of the usual puppets.
@MarkCrossEA yes, but when you consider the issue from a purely logical standpoint human life is made up of 2 components: consciousness and potential. Potential is what the anti-abortion ads and propaganda always target by asking you to picture the child that would have existed in a swing set. But this "potential" argument is totally illogical since masturbation, a condom, or not having that glass of wine could also make Johnny not exist. So you're left with consciousness... and fetuses aren't.
"i grew up in iowa...family is important....my parents divorced....my family wasn't perfect....my family is great...i grew up in iowa....i will fight for you to keep the fruits of your labor...i was a tax attorney....i grew up in iowa....i love you....cast your vote....cast your vote for me..."
Dr Paul gave an excellent speech, he didn't need a 5 minute long ad in front of his speech because he was too busy dropping knowledge on a packed auditorium
sucks that he's totally wrong on the abortion issue, but he's still the only candidate that can turn the country around. I never understood why people that are smart about fiscal policy generally have to be dumb about social issues... but at least he's got it right as far as the drug war and prostitution. It's a huge step in the right direction.
@mysteriousdeer It is his personal view, but its also his position that the Federal Govt. has no business being involved in the subject - Its unconstitutional. But he is speaking to a hard right crowd, so his personal view is attractive here.
@resurgam7@mysteriousdeer That's right, Myst. He tailored his talking points to his immediate audience. But I think he made a mistake, in this case, because so many other undecideds were watching remotely.
He is clearly the best candidate out there, I just hope this didn't bite him before he has a chance to achieve the kind of mainstream exposure that Romney & Bachman have.
Bottom line is, we want him to be voted in, in Nov 2012. The public HAS to know his COMPLETE position on this.
@mysteriousdeer i felt the exact same way when i first heard his position, but at least he would leave it up to the states. the issue is too controversial to have one all encompassing federal law.
I finally came around to the abortion issue because you have to protect life if you are to truly have liberty. I think the little baby should be able to grow up and then make his own decision when he comes of legal age.
As of 3pm EST, intrade has Ron paul at 48%, Bachmann at 43%, Pawlenty at 6% and everyone else 3% to win 1st in Iowa! Thumbs up if you want Ron to win!
@ronpaulbot Cool. Gotta try and resist being glued to the cspan, and just wait till after 6 to see the results. This is exciting, though. I hope Doctor Paul finally gets the kind of recognition that he's earned, all these years.
@ronpaulbot Hi there ... I'm thinking Ron Paul won the Iowa straw poll, but the results were manipulated in Bachmann's favor. There is a computer programmer who testified under oath, he created the program that could flip any election in the favor of the pre selected candidate. The elite is running scared and they'll use every dirty trick.
@atuvelman The point is to bring it to everyone's attention, so that the elite know we're on to them. We cannot allow them to flip the vote with their computer program on Ron Paul.
@NowWhatRTheyUp2 I don't know if what you're saying is true, but I do know thagt Bachmann promised free tickets to concert to all of those who voted for her. She basically bought her votes, and that makes Ron Paul the clear winner.
@Dan474834 Thanks for your reply! That sure doesn't say much for people, when they're loyalty can be bought for a concert ticket. My loyalty is to the Constitution and it's only political defender, Dr. Ron Paul.

@NowWhatRTheyUp2 OMG lol, you paulites crack me up. YAY liberty, unless you are black, gay, woman, or non christian. Hmmm Liberty for all life? Ron Paul seems to be stuck in the past, he thinks that you can fix every problem with a bandaid. He votes against ANY progressive legislation unless it is expressly written into the constitution(wasnt that penned 200 years ago) I think Ron Paul needs to realize it isnt the 1800s anymore
@howlingwolf8 I just want you to understand, your comment is a mindless opinion. Ron Paul is the last chance this country has. You must think Rothschilds & Rockefellers are your friend. You support the military industrial complex, corporations, Federal Reserve, Tri Lateral Comission, Council on Foreign Relations, United Nations, Bilderbergs ... shall I continue?
If you're not for Ron Paul, you're not for America!
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
@NowWhatRTheyUp2 The last chance? Its people like him that have PUT the US in this boat. Ron Paul has a couple good fiscal ideas, I agree to some extent, but you cant erase 200 years and hope for the best as he advocates. There never was a Glory days of the US like he thinks. You cant go forward by going back to the beginning.
@NowWhatRTheyUp2 Why is it that Paulites think that anyone who isnt in the Cult of Paul, is a supporter of the corporations, the Uber Rich, and the like. All those things are the byproduct of a Free Market economy. You give guys with money the freedom to use that money any way they want, they use it to buy power, then you end up with the very things you just listed there. Paul actually thinks that Corporatism is a separate thing from Capitalism, its not, Its simply a byproduct of Capitalism.
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
@NowWhatRTheyUp2 the only thing that Ron Paul has right is that the US needs to cut its spending spree. First thing that needs to go is the over inflated Military budget. If you're in debt, you shouldnt be able to buy new toys. But repealing the civil rights act? The new deal? The emancipation proclamation? REally, I think ron paul forgets its 2011, not 1811. You cant jsut go backwards and get a do over. You need progressive legislation, go forward not backward.
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
@NowWhatRTheyUp2 Doesnt matter anyway. Ron Paul tried this as an independant, failed. Tried as a third party, failed, now as a republican? Hes nowhere near the lead in the polls, its unlikely that he will win the GOP nomination, not with many of his ideas running so contrary to GOP policies. Besides Rick perry is so far ahead of him, he cant even see paul in his rear view. Not that I endorse that idea, Perry would be no better than Bachman IMO. Just statin the reality.
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
@NowWhatRTheyUp2 What gets me the most about Ron Paul is that he talks a big game about liberty for all, then says, hes opposed to freedom of choice, Gay rights, and the civil rights act, which if you read it is an act designed to eliminate segregation and discrimination against racial minorities. How can you talk liberty, then think repealing the civil rights act is in line with liberty for all.
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
@NowWhatRTheyUp2 Oh I see, now you resort to ignorance. If you really did research Ron Paul, you would know his stance on Row v Wade, and the Civil rights act, no this isnt nonsense, what is nonsense is you paulites thinking that a few fiscal policies that he has outweigh his batshit crazy social ideals. Dude is an ultra right wing christian. But hey, no worries, hes failed 2 elections, and theres not a hope that the GOP are gonna give him the nomination. Get ready for Obama term 2 lol.
Doc, I love you, we all you. You are the best man for the job.
But WHY did you have to begin with absolutist right-to-life comments, without explaining that you are AGAINST the federal government being involved? I suspect that many were turned off, before listening to the rest, because they foresee some Federal Anti-Abortion force following up on every 'suspicious' doctor visit.
I just hope that the public is smart enough to investigate you further, before coming to snap judgments.
@MstraRaina Although Paul disagrees with that, he sees it as a more local issue. But your reaction is natural, because of the way he framed the issue, MR.
I understand that life comes first, philosophically. But if I write a computer program that involves natural numbers, I don't start from the peano axioms in order to make it work. And in human communications, it's simply not necessary to begin an exposition with one's base beliefs. Anybody can examine those, at their leisure.

LisaRuban 6 months ago
@LisaRuban
You are in NO position to call Ron Paul a flake. As he stated, we dealt with the USSR , China, and NK having a gazillion nukes, and we did not have to go to war with them. You would have the US get into another war with a country than as big as Iran and Afghanistan put together, and with more military capability. Are you still drinking the Bush-Cheney Kool-aid?
blank557 6 months ago
@LisaRuban how is he a flake. He finished second in the straw poll by only 152 votes to Bachman. Her theocratic views will not fly with anyone outside her narrow wing of the GOP. Tim Pawlenty didn't get half the votes Ron Paul got and then promptly dropped out.
As far as I can tell, the only reason that Ron Paul has no chance of winning is because a lot of people (especially the media) keep saying he can't win. I forget what that mentality is called but I'm sick of it.
Knightmessenger 6 months ago
This comment has received too many negative votes show
@Knightmessenger "Her theocratic views will not fly with anyone outside her narrow wing of the GOP." HER Theocratic views? I must have watched a different vid than you. Bachman is agreed a theocrat, that frankly is batshit crazy, but I heard Paul go on about pro life because of the "Creator" In fact I heard him refer to the Creator over and again in this vid. How is he lacking in theocratic views?
howlingwolf8 5 months ago
@howlingwolf8 Thomas Jefferson also referred to a "Creator" in the Declaration of Independence, was he a theocrat too?
I think Ron Paul was referencing that to emphasize that individual rights are inherent and not subject to government permission.
Knightmessenger 5 months ago
@Knightmessenger I dont doubt that in his own idealistic way that Paul believes fundamentally in individual freedoms, however, he does so without looking at the lessons of the past. Using the semantic term "corporatism" belies the way corporations got the way they are today. Stripping the federal government of any power to hinder overreaching corporate interests simply hands the power to those with money. Is that really the ideal? Its just feudalism with a different face.
howlingwolf8 5 months ago
@howlingwolf8 other way around. It is the government power to "protect" us from corporations that enables companies with money and influence to manipulate the laws to their advantage. People with money have power now only because government has power.
Remember, only the government can use deadly force to accomplish its goals. No matter how much money they have, a corporation cannot point a gun at you and demand you buy their product, they have to convince you to purchase voluntarily.
Knightmessenger 5 months ago
@Knightmessenger No but a corporation can use their vast power to intimidate its employees. Can use its vast power to evade punishment for violating labour codes and environmental legislation, But should we have this Paulite Libertarian ideal, those laws wouldnt even exist, so no laws are broken when they abuse their workers and the communities that they exploit to make money. Those powers and laws exist because of hard fought struggles to protect people.
howlingwolf8 5 months ago
@howlingwolf8 that's my point, what is the purpose of having all these laws if the really corrupt corporations will find ways to evade them.
If a company treats its employees poorly, they will look for better working opportunities. How can you exploit someone if they consent to such an agreement?
Isn't it better to let a company openly show they could care less about their workers than make all these laws that force them to pretend to care. Then you know right away which boss will be hell.
Knightmessenger 5 months ago
@Knightmessenger Do you think that the railway workers that worked themselves to the bone for next to nothing consented to their exploitation? Do you think the people of one small town after another that gets raped of its health and natural resources consents to be exploited? What is needed is NOT less laws to protect the people, but more enforcement, and less loopholes around those laws.
howlingwolf8 5 months ago
@Knightmessenger the thing is that the US HAD what Paul talks about, and this is the result of that Free Market libertarian ideal. Because businesses inherently only care about money, and workers are afraid to not have a way to feed their families, the exploitation happened, then unions came about, no, not a perfect solution, but all a union really is, is workers organized to stand up to the companies in order to get fair treatment, yeah I know power is abused there too, but thats freedom lol.
howlingwolf8 5 months ago
@howlingwolf8 Well, those workers could have always gone back to being farmers but nobody seems to question why they didn't to escape such oppressive living standards.
Unions did help get better working standards but they didn't need (often protectionist) government regulations to do so, bargaining with employers is simply utilizing a free market system to bargain for a better agreement.
Knightmessenger 5 months ago
@howlingwolf8 That is where personal and group lawsuits come in to protect you from pollution and other abuses we us the system as it was intended.

@resurgam7 @mysteriousdeer That's right, Myst. He tailored his talking points to his immediate audience. But I think he made a mistake, in this case, because so many other undecideds were watching remotely.

Bottom line is, we want him to be voted in, in Nov 2012. The public HAS to know his COMPLETE position on this.
