What kind od super Sculpey do you use? the regular, #3, #2, or Firm. I've been using Firm so far. I haven't tried the other ones.

@GlompoFie Hello! I've been doing it most of my life really, on and off.. I mean I've always played with clay in my spare time and always concentrated on drawing and painting more, but over the past so many years, I've been dong a lot more sculpture. Still so much more to learn though! Always!

Hello! Ah, this clay is purely for baking in the oven. But on another note, if you let the clay sit there for a loooooooong time it will turn a bit crappy and crumbly.

Hey there! Ah, I used black ink and then some varnish over the top to make it look a little moist and shiny! Works wonders! Thank you my friend :-D

Amazing artwork! What type, and size of wire do you use to make the armature?

Thank you so much! I used alluminium wire 1/16th of an inch (I think) It's very soft wire so it won't destroy your hands!

I really love to do sculpture and start doing some reading but I'm very new with the art. I have some questions though (if you dont mind?: ). 1. Do you recommend the self drying clay? 2. What type of oven did you use? 3 how did you connect the wings to the body? did you use some epoxy or just clay &wire?How long did you bake the sculpture using the heat gun? Dude, this is insanely impressive! One of the best demo's I've seen. I'd be more than interested in seeing a slowed down version with some commentary, if you ever get the chance!

Hey nsane, I'd love to do a slower version except that I haven't got a normal video camera at the mo, so what I did was I created a time lapse movie instead. I totally agree though, it would be nice to have a slower version with commentary. I did actually have subtitles originally but it was very distracting so I took them off. this is great work i love fantasy and art myself though i have some bad habbits of having artist blocks from time to time. i must say that this is one of those videos and pieces that make me want to pick up my clay and tools and start working. great job i hope to see more of your work soon.

Hello MegaGalva, Ah yes, I can't stand artist blocks.. I get them from time to time, in fact the other night! I'm trying to design a new sculpture but it's a bit tough going for me! And yes, have a go at sculpting, it's fun! I find that using the right type of clay that suits you best will make it go a long way :-) And thank you for your much undeserved kind words my friend.
