  • Fucking 'post dubstep' my fucking arse! its really annoying for people to dish out idiotic labels to fantastic pieces of music, this sort of dubstep eisted waaay before the stupid chainsaw bass that popularised the genre. pangaea - routeclassic dark dubstep with craz sounds, 2008, Hardly Post anything

  • ugh.. breakbeat is the genre you're all looking for btw..

  • I want this video on my T939 unit.

  • pretty sure this is halfstep. similar to horsepower productions.

    but its obviously very lo-fi

  • This video is a favorite on Bulgaria

  • It's really something when listened through earphones

  • no way is this dubstep!!!! this kicks dubsteps ass!!

  • @Foshizzle34 post dub my friend. check out sbtrkt, jamie xx, the weeknd. mount kimbie are the real dooods of post dubstep

  • @MrSuperdrunk123

the weeknd is not post-dubstep or even related to the genre, it's contemp r&b all day erryday.

  • @MrSuperdrunk123

    >the weeknd

    you just went full retard.

  • About the best damn thing I've heard in a while.

  • saw this at reading, fell in love with it

  • nothing chills me right out like a bit of James Blake and Mount Kimbie - love from the South East!

  • lekkel lekkel MOUNT:/ KIMBIE

  • LOVE

  • @rhombuslover69 whitty <3 kimbie

  • this is such a fucker

  • man u saw them at the boiler room!!! damn u lucky devil!!! im desperate to go to the boiler room!! that is my task in the next few months!!! Love Mount Kimbe & love Hotflush!! Humble magnificance!!!

  • i saw them at the boiler room had to refrain my self from kidnapping one of them, they are to talented.

  • daaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaamn Mount Kimbie. Daaaaaaaaamn.

  • can anyone help me out with which song the sample is from?

  • @tcspry sounds like a beyonce tune to me

  • post-dubstep

  • NICE TRACK

  • I feel the dubstep vibe but this song has something much more special

  • what kind of music is this?

  • @samtingsamting dubstep in its purest form

  • @DavidL1980 i don't even recognize it x) thanks :)

  • @DavidL1980 you serious? i dont get, i thought dubstep is big woooooooooooooooooooooobles and shit?

  • @samtingsamting minimal techno

  • @samtingsamting I heard it referred to as "Fragilitystep" once and that sounds pretty cool. Whatever it is, i just wish there was more of it.

  • Quality

  • this is perfection at best.

  • @retronicheart hahahaha.

  • to everyone asking about the sizzling sound, it's a field recording of rain pushed through whatever filters they were using..

as for the synths, check their live recordings. i'm fairly sure they use some KORG gear but I could be wrong? I certainly know they have a maschine and KAOSSpad.

    Hope that helps!

  • 3:45 Fido!!! For fucks sake, shut the- oh wait it's just the song

  • NOT ENOUGH VIEWS MAAATTTTTEEE

  • I love this!!!!!! I found it by accident on itunes when listening to James Blake. It's described as 'Dubstep/ Post dubstep' why is there so much war within labeling electronic music? Whatever this is meant to be it sound's good to me & thanks for uploading it!

  • @Eclectic011Princess It's not a war, MK coined the term themselves. If anyone's allowed to label their own style, it's the artist cranking out the tunes. Plus music is very much about community so having a genre tag helps other artists get together with like minded people, or maybe vice versa to create an even newer sound. This to me is what makes music so wonderful, there is a conscious part of your mind that accepts a difference of style even when there's nothing to physically see.

  • This song is epic on so many levels

  • The only thing I don't like about this vinyl is the big booty bitch on the cover.

  • Superb track.

  • are you homeless? you fucking bum nice postcards faggot

  • 2 people have not got a clue.

  • This reminds me of amazing things. Every time.

  • love the album cover, really sums up peckham

  • These Mount Kimbie kids have a gift. Extraordinary music with a strong impact on emotions. Soul. I say : just enjoy. Analysis won't satisfy.

  • @paynkyllar Finally, someone speaking sense. Why people don't just relax and enjoy the music instead of writing inane comments like "ohmahgawd I just orgasmed" or "this sounds like Burial" or "this is the best thing about dubstep" ... NFI really.

  • @teemad I agree, oh an NUUUUUB's this isn't dubstep!

  • @aidenfry1 technically... it is.

  • Mr. Song.

  • This track is gorgeous. Great production <3 <3 xxxxx

  • i know it's a bit of a stretch, but could anyone inform me on how to create the sound that begins at 1:25 ?

it sounds somewhat like a triangle/sine combonation but i'm not sure on how to achieve it, any help?

  • @monkeyz777 SOUNDS LIKE A PINK NOISE WITH EQ APPLIED AND ON A SEPARATE IS SOME SORT OF SYNTH ALSO PROCESSED THROUGH BUNCH OF EFFECTS

  • @atviortke yes, i've made the beggining sound before, that's why i like this song, i recognize it.

but if you could help me figured out how to achieve it, that synth it would be great. thanks for the input though, i wouldn't have tthought of change the EQ levels.

  • @monkeyz777 i think i can hear some slight FM goinon

  • @monkeyz777 I think I read an article or interview that said it was a field recording of rain falling that was sent through a filter and EQ. Not sure if there's any synthesis going on.

  • @monkeyz777 you mean the sizzling sound? i couldnt tell you exactly what mount kimbie did, but if you took some pure vinyl distortion (from the very start of very end of a record), looped it, and filtered it with effects, you could probably get somethin similar.

  • @danielinsporto nah, the lead. the melody. any ideas?

  • @monkeyz777 sounds like some kind of analog electric piano to me, maybe a fender rhodes..? there's actually a live set on youtube where they play this song, but they don't play the lead on a keyboard, they have it as a loop on a sampler.

  • I listen to this song everyday

    >w>

  • my favorite part is 0:00-4:18

  • Amazing production. Best album in years imo.

  • I keep coming back to this album, definitely one of my favorites of 2010.

  • so clean and innocent, great great producters

  • What tune are the vocal samples from?

  • @fastkomplett Sounds like a Keri Hilson song, "Return the favour" maybe? Not 100% sure.

  • Sinister track

  • lækkert..

  • finally ordered the cd! Big things going on on Hotflush!!!

  • nobody can say a thing without saying a swear in it. everyone's as razy as we are. I like razy.

  • guess iam gonna buy that ass (album)!

  • ok, here i am, thats what im looking for, waiting for you vinyl !

  • Saw them live at lowlands festival, after that i immediatly bought the CD. I simply love this

  • The voice sounds like Beyonce?

  • too simple, i could do this

  • @electriccarpate Simple, by no means what so ever, is easy to pull off.

  • @SoundOfAnodyne i wish i could understand that but really i can make beats like this on my computer all day would you all love them?

  • @electriccarpate any one can make a beat on a cpu ...but producing is where the actuall work comes in.... it the quallity in each sound individually ... recording live .live sounds.. of wind ..then turning that into... a clap.. or kick sound or ... synth like sounds... try that for one hour ... and u will probably never want to even here someone talk about a DAW

  • @electriccarpate

    Yeh but you didn't

  • @electriccarpate - simple is beautiful.

  • @electriccarpate this tunes simplicity is what actually makes it what it is..amazing.

  • @electriccarpate only an fool would think that the simplicity of this song would make it easy to create.

  • @oayia extremely hard to simplify something that is so complex..

like creativity towards.. a producers ..perspective...

i agree .... less is more....

  • @electriccarpate : Less is more.

  • @electriccarpate shut up and do it then!

  • @electriccarpate

that´s the first big principle of art/music/wtv

you could do it but you really didn´t.

they´re rockin everywhere and you´re just a guy sitting on the pc hating on people who actually do things.

take the example and show to the world you can actually do something.

  • @electriccarpate

but the point is that you didn't do this. nobody has ever heard of you because you clearly are not making amazing but simple tunes like this.

  • @electriccarpate then do it

  • so beautiful

  • Killer Track!

  • Probably there best song the intro drum beat and vocals that come in all make this really good.
