I never liked this scene because it implies that Mozart (and Beethoven) didn't become geniuses at what they did by practicing for years and years. Mozart himself said (translated) "The idea that I don't work is a myth. I write as a sow pisses." Ramanujan, Mozart, Shakespeare, DiVinci....the carpenter who built your house. They all see (we all see) in paterns. With Mozart, it was with music. He could see a beautiful pattern in sound and through work, express it. Shakespeare saw beautiful patterns in words, and through his art, could express it.
