  • So the hornes of Aries is in fact a Muta Lock right ?

  • 後踢 怎麼 沒有用出來~~ ~ 用的那麼兩光 就不要PO麻= = "

  • If only the wwe games hadnt gotten rid of the flashing elbow -_-

  • @MohammedXShakur da hell r u talkin about, it's actually a selectable move in wwe 12

  • @HEATofEAST92 How should I know? It wasnt in SvR '09, '10 and '11. If it's in there then that must mean they brought back alot of moves.

  • i'd love to see kieji mutoh vs rob van dam or i would love to see kurt angle vs kenta kobashi

  • It's funny how most wrestlers work on a certain knee but when they slap on the figure four it's the wrong knee... Not Muto, he locks it in with the correct knee. The figure four is a knee bar, and it's hurting the leg that is straight... Legit submission too...

  • 0:53 this is lyger

  • I wonder if Keiji ever hit the shining wiz from the top rope?

  • Aside from the Shining Impact double team move, he hasn't. I don't think it would work too well from the top rope.

  • @TheSuicidalDragon ahhhhhh I c.... Maybe if he was shorter it could work but I see your point on it though...

  • I remember when him and Chono actually made the NWO international in Japan. Epic.

  • Figure Four Leg Lock, aka Muto Takes A Breather

  • this is awesome but were's that big chop he does off the tope rope. other then that the list is perfect.

  • His best move is at 1:10

  • ONE of the best wrestler of all time

  • I've always wondered, how can he pull off the poison mist? Was it in his mouth all the time or, does he go to ringside to put it in his mouth?

  • I would say both, depending on match length, and when the Mist is going to be used.

  • @TheSuicidalDragon I'm sure it's sometimes passed to the wrestler by the referee or someone at ringside. I've never noticed it in a Muta match, but I've spotted it a couple times before Tajiri does it.

  • so basically low ki uses the flash elbow as tribute to the great muta.

  • 1:28 Liger sold the mist epically.

  • Flashing Elbow is just a thing of beauty. Mutoh's style is just so fluid.

  • You don't like avalanche frankensteiner?

  • TheSuicidalDragon: hey i forgot the etiquette of puroressu. lets say another japanese wrestler uses the shinin wizard on another wrestler, is that consider a tribute to mutou or an insult. also, if a foreign (gaijin) uses the wizard, how is it considered? thnx, always enjoy your videos!

  • nice video

  • Mutoh has the best psychology based moveset in the business besides Flair. All of his moves make perfect sense.

  • SuicidalDragon, the match that Muta had against Hogan was at the Fukuoka Dome, not the Tokyo Dome

  • I'm f*** amazed by Muta's footwork! That quick step he makes when he hits the ropes and transitions in/out of moves puts a nasty little snap into them that make most of them the most quick and efficient of all their variations. And,that's if he didn't innovate them himself. I wish I could see him work mainstream soon.

  • Mutoh is definitely one of the greatest wrestlers of all time. Has a great psychology in the ring and definitely business wise when it comes to changing and adapting to the times. Also one of the first to put the moonsault on the map in the US!

  • now i think yoshi tasui use the flashing elbow

  • I wish Mutoh executes the dragon screw neck whip to Orton.

  • @highflyer47 Me too!

  • muta lock = cattle mutilation?

  • @SESbb30 no, in the cattle mutilation, has both arms lock in a double chicken wing form and arches the opposite way. That's the best way I could explain it. You will have to watch a Bryan Danielson video to see what I am talking about.

But anyway his moves are just damn near cool.

  • he goes against the ropes like he's gonna do a sidekick. I love his style.

  • the creater of the moonsualt has the best moonsault!

  • how old is he?

  • Mutoh is probably hovering around the age of forty five or so.

  • @TheSuicidalDragon Nah, he was born in 1959, so he's about 51 now. That's also Sting's age.

  • @venigmatic23 No he was born in 1962 (December 23)

  • @TheSuicidalDragon He's 48. He was born December 1962

  • @ToxsickDeath Mutoh is 48 (He was born December 1962)

  • @ToxsickDeath he has 47 years old

  • @ToxsickDeath over 9000!!!

  • Muta invented alot of moves you see today.

  • i love the flashing elbow. its so.... flashy

  • The original People's Elbow.

  • @WeNeedSomeGolfShoes It is unless they really got pissed of with each other and fight to THE DEATH! Buuutttt we all know that won't happen.

  • @WeNeedSomeGolfShoes I wouldn't think Bret would beat Keiji even if he was trained by the Japanese and wrestling in Japan. Like back then sure if be a 5 star match but at this time Keiji would win. If Keiji still fast he can beat Bret.

  • 0:48 in need this image for wallpaper XD Long life Keiji Mutoh.

  • @TotalImpactWrestlin

Thanks for the info..now that you mentioned it..I do believe that I seen a varation of it.

  • I could create a T10 Of Mutoh despite only having one match of him. As all the moves he uses as Mutoh in this video are in that match.

  • the great muta is one of my fav wrestlers!!he has innovate so many moves like moonsault.but i t think he has a lot of poison mist variations

  • Awesome!!Thanx for posting this vid about this legendary superstar!!

  • Ahem.... I must say. I LOVE MUTOH/MUTA. Ya'll just don't know. when I was introduced to wrestling, he was in NWA/WCW. I almost stopped watching pro-wrestling when he didn't show up, and at that time, I had NO appreciation for pro-wrestling. There are people who would merely think that Keiji Mutoh is not great. I can honestly & personally say to you people, "eat a dick." Thank you for your eye-time. Thank you for making this post TSD. y

  • That dragon neck whip...DAMN!!! You will not see that the WWE or TNA (pardon for saying those)

That moonsault was just fucking beautiful!! Hail Kejii Mutoh!!

  • @whereisshethen .. It's just a Rope Assisted Spinning Neckbreaker which actually has been done (or at least a variation of it) in the WWE before by Rob Conway.

  • Awesome. One of Japan's greatest athletes. Hail Keiji Mutoh.

  • he ain't got nuttin on my boy brahg lesnar. yeah das right bra lesgar is da king of teh ring

  • Nah, Mutoh is lightyears ahead of Lesnar.

  • OUCH! That Dragon Srew Neck Whip HAD to hurt, I felt it from here.

  • this man's entire career revolved around one thing: proving he was better than the white man. he never sold luger's offense. that's just wrong brah, wrong.

  • Congratulations, you just showed how little you know about Keiji Mutoh. Numerous interviews show that he has a great appreciation for the wrestling, style, and thematics/theatrics of American wrestling.

Hogan doesn't sell offense, either. Scott Hall doesn't sell offense. You wanna pick on any group of wrestlers for being douchbags in the ring, point your fingers in the direction of the mid-80's thru 90's wrestling crowd. Cause you got the wrong guy in your crosshairs here.

  • Since Inoki is going to be int eh Hall of Fame, you think theres chance fro Mutoh?

  • Inoki is there mainly because of his direct co-promoting with both the WWF and WCW.

  • IDK, maybe because he was sorta big in WCW, they may consider him. But in my opinion, he is not only a hall of famer, but one of the best wrestlers ever. He was one of the first big Japanese wrestlers in America, and got so many people into Japanese wrestling. He is one of the biggest names ever, and definitely deserves it.

  • @gig0n5

    He rightfully should be.

  • Inoki worked with the WWF and WCW. Muto did small amount of work for WCW and didn't amount to much in the promotion. That aside, it's the WWE Hall of Fame. If it were the Wrestling Hall of Fame et al, yeah, he'd be cemented a place. Not with the WWE though.

  • The Flashing Elbow is one of my favourite moves

  • @ZeroNBK its one of my favorite moves also

  • Whoa! That's the first time I've seen that Dragon Screw Neck Whip! That looked devastating! Does Mutoh do that a lot now? I'd think it'd be a rare thing.

  • Dragon Screw Neck Whip? How bout...Rope Hung Twisting Neckbreaker?

    And Great Muta's awesome.

  • That would be the technical name for the move.

  • Technical? So Mutoh himself named it a Dragon Screw Neck Whip.

  • Indeed.

  • @TheSuicidalDragon what do you think of the enzui shining wizard ?

  • 'Tis a nice move, especially when it comes out of nowhere.

  • 1:31 it seems like the great muta was more affected by the poison mist XD

  • He simply turned away to catch a bit of a breather. Lyger had been all over him for a while before he caught him with the Red Mist.

  • A true legend! Can't wait to see him at the PWG show in L.A. on the 30th!

  • Any one ever notice that the rocks people's elbow was a really slow Flashing elbow

  • im trying to imagine a match between the 2 greatest.

the greatest of japan (Mutoh) and the greatest of the US (Bret Hart)

  • Bret Hart is not the greatets Wrestler of the US,even in the WWE there were better Wrestlers and still are,HBK,Taker and Benoit were better than him.Lots of Independent Wrestlers are better than Hart too(Danielson and so on)i really dont understand all that Hype about Bret Hart,he was great,no doubt about that, but to consider him as the greatest of the US is a bit of a stretch.Mutoh was great too(better than hart for sure)but i would say Misawa,Tsuruta and Liger are Japans greatest.

  • i dont mean absolute greatest of all time.

bret hart is arguably the greatest in US history. he has a legacy that only HBK can match

ill agree that Danielson is better, however i meant the classic wrestlers, not the "up-and-comers)

  • HBK is better overall for me too.Hes more Entertaining, more Mic-skills if you know what i mean(alltough i dont care about them,Mic-skills,Promos etc)HBK is arguably the better one.

  • i would agree with you there, but remember the catchphrase of Hart (Best There Was...)

tho Miuchaels is deff better, most people see Hart as a pinnacle b/c of his catchphrase so i think it would be a battle of the arguably best of each sport (Muta and Hart)

  • Yeah i know the catchphrases of Hart, everybody call Hart as greatest of all time, but without this "the best there is,the best there was,the best there ever will be"not much people would call him the greatest.

  • @jhniscol Bret Hart is going for the U.S. Man he wasn't even born there or living there he's a Canadain hero not American. And Bret only knows American wrestling. He has no experince in Japan or the world Mutoh does. So Mutoh would win.

  • My pleasure. Check out Masahiro Chono, he's the one that started that one.

  • Shining Yakuza Kick is the "real" name of it.

  • I think one of my favorite matches is Muta vs. Tajiri where they both poison mist each other. Classic.

  • HOW DOES HE DO THAT ELBOW?????

  • WIZARD MASTER!!!!!!!!!

  • oh hes the guy wit the crazy elbow drop thats on smackdown vs raw move list

  • I love it when he says " Mazza Fucka!" before every shining wizard :D

  • Now we don't need to be a smark to know that Keiji Mutoh is one of wrestling's all-time greats. One of 2 to ever hold the NWA Heavyweight , IWGP Heavyweight & AJPW Triple Crown Heavyweight Championships. Mutoh or as most US fans will recognize him as Great Muta is greatness. PRO-WRES LOVE!!!

  • lol

i would be kinda scared of Muta watching WCW when i was little

  • No wonder his knees are messed up. My knees hurt just watching that moonsault!

  • As if you need another reason to love Muto, he plays Xbox.

  • really? damn he's now my favorite wrestler from japan now

  • Really, does he have an account or something?

  • @FUCKULUKEFITZGERALD There's a comic drawn by a guy who played WWE Raw on the original Xbox with him.

  • Thats awesome, i wanna play video games with Mutoh.

  • @FUCKULUKEFITZGERALD He rips on the guy for liking WWE more than AJPW.

  • All Hail the king of the SHINING WIZARD!

  • Does he ver use the Muta Lock when he wrestles as Mutoh?

  • Not as of late, no. I can't say for sure if he ever used while wrestling as Mutoh at all, honestly.

  • yes he has...i personally seen him used it in that epic G1 1991 Final against Chono....

its in my Muto video somewhere

  • I'm pretty sure I've seen him use it as Mutoh, at least NJPW era Mutoh, but not AJ "Shining Wizard" era Mutoh.

  • There are many being that you shoud'nt mess with. And One of them is The Great Keiji Muto. And my favorite are the Poison Mist and the Shining Wizard.

  • Who was it who actually invented the Moonsault? Most people saw Muta do it first when he first came to the US, but I'm fairly certain he was not the originator.

  • I've heard a ton of names thrown around, from Chavo, Sr, to Lanny Poffo. Not really sure who did, to be honest.

  • Chavo Guerrero Sr. says he invented it....Muta made it famous for sure though!

  • yay mutoh top ten faved also i love seeing that dragon neck whip

  • Muta is a wrestling GOD

  • mutoh is so pimp

  • Damn....the Dragon Screw Neck Whip......DAMN!

  • Ahh. Now there's a video in which it is hard to point out the favourite move :D A Living Legend indeed.

  • wicked neckbreaker sinning

  • one of the best users of the shining wizard

  • One of the best users of the Figure Four and one of the greatest wrestlers of all time.

  • that moonsault was perfect

  • MUTA = LEGEND

  • This man is easily up there with the likes of Hogan and Flair, Rock and Austin, Sting and countless others. His matches with Sting in WCW were classic. He was and arguably still is the biggest superstar in Japan. My favorite Puro star of all time by far right here.

His style is so fluid and his ring psychology unmatched. Just a pure joy to watch in the ring.

  • The Dragon screw neck whip is awsome

  • you can really see th huge influence he had on Low-Ki

  • Man mutoh/muta is arguably one of the best wrestlers in history, and to be fair it's not really arguable, even some wwe marks i know know the name mutoh. awesome vid SD.

  • That Dragon Screw Neck Whip is just plain nasty, ouch.

  • Cool I did not know him as Keiji Muhto, but I did as the Great Muta he was a bad Muta f---ker. LOL

  • Great video.

  • Even with both of his knees shot to hell, Mutoh remains a relevant presence in the realm of pro wrestling. He is undoubtedly a spectacular wrestler to watch in any era.

  • Did Muta ever use the Muta lock as a finisher at any point?

Cause its one of the better looking submission moves and would be a convincing match ender.

  • A few times during his WCW run, yes.

  • Odd honor to have. But Great vid. Mutoh is truely the best.

  • Probably my favorite wrestler to step in the ring next to Masawa and Hayabusa.

  • Kobashi??? he has gotta be there.

  • I am honored to be the first comment, congratulations on 25 years Mutoh!
