  • great album.. just got swept away with grunge in US (and the likes of Brit pop in UK..) always thought the band exagerated a bit too much.. I know that was the deal back then.. not a month goes by when I dont play a few tracks off the album..

  • I just don't understand how they didn't make it. With Danny's voice and songwriting, they should have been headlining arenas. Damn grunge crap!

  • Saw them last night at Sheffield, Absolutely outstanding!

  • Just saw them live on Wednesday, and Danny's voice is still just mind-blowing. What a great band.

  • great Post and even greater Song

  • I like Grunge but I also hate it at the same time for coming along and ending great music like this

  • What a great band <3 all their tunes ! To bad crappy music ( 90`s Grunge ) came along & took away the talenl

  • One of the most beautiful songs I've ever heard

  • I absolutely love tyketto!!! :)

  • Egy nagyszerű banda melyet sajnos méltánytalanul alulértékeltek az idők folyamán,hazánkban pedig pár emberen kívül szinte alig ismeri őket valaki!Így vesznek el nagy tehetségek!

  • wow. couldn't have found this song at a better time...

  • @babyf1refly I hope this song helps you like it helped me. Please, no matter what life throws at you remember that you are never alone in your battles.

  • standing alone like the day that I was born...

  • Luved these guys for years - show me a better rock voice than Danny Vaughn!!

  • This song has got me through loads in my life ...........

  • Happy to have rediscovered this song and this band, their music also helped me through some dark days in my life!Glad to see by others post I wasn't Standing Alone!lol....

  • Happy to have rediscovered this song and this band, their music also helped me through some dark days in my life!Glad to see by others post I wasn't Standing Alone!lol....

  • I came across this by accident through a Tall Stories demo...kinda confused on that but pretty happy to have found it!

  • Wonderful...

  • Danny Vaughn had one of the best voices from this era. I saw them play in a tiny club around this time, maybe 20 people there, but they still rocked like there was 10,000.

  • simplesmente 1.000

  • this song is beautiful makes me inspiration this band is exciting

  • this song got me through surving foster homes

  • I have been sober 8 years. and this song has been great inspiration to my life. I am now back to the job I love and went to college for instead of jumping from job to job. So nice to have my life straight.

  • Excellent song. These guys came out too late. The horrible grunge shit was beginning at the same time. Bad timing.

  • I think they are brilliant,,The song is just great.

  • Listening to this song forces me to realize just how lonely I really am.

  • all time fave...these guys should have been mega stars...well they are in my eyes...

  • I finally found this song on YouTube after hearing it on HairNation so Thank You for putting this video on YouTube!

  • You gotta love the emotional highest rated comments :)

  • fave song of all time.. been hunting down this album for years...story of my life.....

  • i've always loved this song. i bought their cd way back when, and i still love it now. thanks for the memories mate :-)

  • Tyketto, tangiers, Hardline, Kix and I could go on about good bands that did not do well in the market place yet had more talent than a few that did. RATT rocked but talented musicians and writers they were not... HAH... There are a few others but I will just get yelled at...

  • I still listen to this song a couple times a week, and it still keeps me going strong. I am still sober and I want to thank EVERYONE who has posted a reply. It was great to see that people can be supportive on YOUTUBE and not just bash one another (which I have also done, lol) . Thank you everybody. ps Keep 80's hair metal ALIVE!!!

  • @DAVEPRO74 nice one davepro74.i listen to this song too dude..its still awesome hair metal is not dead just asleep...heavy metal rules....

  • Frankly, this is one of the most amazing power ballads ever. I discovered it during a difficult time in my life two years ago and it said everything I felt.

And so to DAVEPRO74... no, it doesn't sound a bit gay that you're thanking Vaughan for a wonderfully powerful, emotive and moving song. Every human being on planet earth need an emotional crux, and this happens to be yours. For what it is worth, I applaud you and hope with every fibre of my being that you are doing well.

  • what an amazing band. i happened to stumble upon this searching for a similar song. will definitely have to check out more from them. thanks for sharing and turning me on to a new band. well, new to a chick that's spent most her life listening to almost exclusively classic rock, 80's metal, and blues. much appreciated, Froman!

  • Great song by a very underrated band.

  • u people need to see my video!

  • Great song, Great Band, we need more bands like this

  • Haven't heard this in so long. Reminds me of my teenaged angst.

  • iloved this group.. they have a special place in my heart

  • saw them at download this year they were amazing. GREAT BAND

  • I was a big fan of this band

but not sure what being gay has anything to with sobriety...or loving a song...

    and yeah...i'm gay...

  • One of the best albums EVER, and hardly anyone knows about it. What a shame. This thing is incredible. I got lucky one day out pawn-shopping and picked it up for $1.99 at Goodwill. Couldn't believe my luck. Tyketto!

  • these guys may not have gone anywhere (thanx to bad timing), but all my musician friends LOVED these guys. especially the song forever young

  • I saw Tyketto live once. They were pretty good. I miss the 80's too!

  • Oh what a wondrous voice

  • this vidoe/song is awesome!! as for grudge, fuck that crap, 80's will always rule, forever.....

  • Damn, takes me back to being 17 again! (sigh)

  • Tyketto rulz! Hard Rock forever!

  • Fuck Nirvana!!! 80's Golden Years.

  • Yeah, I totally miss the "hair" era!

  • forgot all about this song til i heard it again on satellite radio!!! Jesus..I miss the "hair" days!!!

  • fuck nirvana with that talentless guy Kurt!!!because of them, all the 80's beautiful era was gone!!!Fuck grunge!!!

  • @rockonmario - Nope, it's not Kurt's fault. Cobain's roots/influences run deep and is not talentless. Listen to the Replacements lead singer. Sounded like Cobain WAY before grunge became cool.

And get your facts straight: Grunge/alternative already started in the 80's, it just gained more traction/popularity with Nirvana/Pearl Jam etc. Nirvana did not TRY to be big like all the copycat hairbands. It's copycat hairband's faults, not to mention all the fans who supported the 'grunge'.

  • couldn't agree more komoru a lot of hair band fans just need someone to blame instead of the bands themselves for lack of good new music I'm not a big Nirvana fan but your dead on

  • after struggling for years with substance abuse, this song was a HUGE part of me getting sober and staying that way. Six months strong now. Thank you Mr. Vaughn for making this song, it saved my life and my family. I know thats gay but it's the truth. lol.

  • nothing gay about it bro. being sober is an amazing accomplishment. I applaud you. A man who knows his faults and corrects it to save his life and family. keep going bro. I,m there with ya. sober for 12 years

  • @DAVEPRO74 good job, sober 2 years here, the 80's early 90's rock nroll is the best i just saw la guns at he whisky in hollywood on saturday

  • @DAVEPRO74 thats not gay its great news for once, stay clean love life its the only one u got..

  • @DAVEPRO74 Music has a way of moving us all!! This is a great song!! Whatever gets u thru is great!! Hope ur still on the right path!!

  • @DAVEPRO74 I applaud you also ,, i was there also ,,over 3 years clean now ,, i use to listen to wasted time by Skid Row to get me through the ruff times , What ever works for you, ,, Nothing gay about being sober ,, My life is great ,, Hope your still sober !!!!! If it matters you can email me any time you like , We cant do this alone ,,

  • @DAVEPRO74

Dude, you have nothing to be but proud. I had substance abuse problems for a few years and it's a major milestone when you finally realize you can get high on life. Six months now for you and I have no reason to doubt that you can make it another six YEARS!(Meaning permanently) Stand proud. In this respect you aren't standing alone even though it felt it during the addiction. Millions are where you stood. Thumbs up to Tyketto and two thumbs up to you! BTW 13 years clean now.

  • @DAVEPRO74 thats not gay at all dude thats awesome lmao... rush is always my motivation lol

  • @DAVEPRO74 It's not gay at all to say that brother. This album was in constant rotation after my divorce. I turned to some pretty dumb shit for solace myself in those times. This album allowed me to push past depression, suicidal tendencies and substance abuse. Six months is fantastic. Stay strong.

  • @DAVEPRO74 now over two years sober. I still love this song and I still love 80's hair Hair Metal. I hear Tyketto have rejoined and working on new music. Can't wait.

  • @DAVEPRO74

Congrats on your success. Do not under estimate the power the God has put in music. This song helped me through the lose of my son, and now the lose of my wife. Keep your Faith. We are never truly Standing Alone.

  • @magellan5811 Thank you for your comment and I am so sorry for your loss. There are no words that can make up for the pain that you have felt.

  • Brrrrriiiillliant

  • the rain is trying to wash me away great song should hav been a hit single 4 tyketto

  • Imagine Danny Vaughn And Cinderella Vocalist Tom Keifer together in same album..

  • Great, I have met Danny in March, at a theatre in Chatham UK. He now plays in the UK. He's in an 'EAGLES' tribute band called 'The Illegal Eagles' playing town theatres. I thought he was great..so was TYKETTO!

    Times they change

  • These guys just were not as big as Def Leopard but 95% of "radio metal" groups were gone after 1 CD or cassette. These guys came in after Trixter, Firehouse and Slaughter hit it big.

  • This version sounds different. The background vocals are a little sweeter sounding.

  • Why does this version sound different than the album version?

  • There were 2 different versions one on Don't come easy and one on their second album, this is the latter version.

  • wrong album was re-released on diffrent album. you may have a lesser of versions. this is by far the better version.

    Tyketto

    fuckin ROX!

  • yeah,now you're talkin' brother!

  • Such a beautiful song, wasted on a time when no was was paying attention to what really mattered: the music. Danny Vaughn was the type of singer that could sing the hell out of anything--his heart shows when he sings. God bless these guys, too bad I can't rip them out of the past and share them with the world right now.

  • we should become metal priests!!!

    we should become metalizers!!!!!

  • One of the Greatest Ballads ever

  • Guy's got a great voice.

  • (L)

  • guys, tyketo is a great band, their album reaches here in the philippines, that is why we have known them...its great to hear that they have been treasured, coz we play their songs, our BAND play's TYKETO

  • I saw them live last night! last ever show!

    they were awesome!

  • I can`t understand why...why they did not get anywhere? What went wrong?

  • I see your point, but I think it was because they were to late... the glam era was almost over when they got there first record out... It's really a shame. One of the greatest glam metal bands... with a really great singer.

  • they are at Swedenrock festival now :)

  • awesome!

  • awesome track, one of my all time favs, holds so many memories for me!!

  • one of the best ballads ever!

    awesome

  • About to see them in a couple of months, not the best band coming but im so going to see them play, awesome music

  • where you going tosee them i love danny lol

  • Most awesome power ballad I've ever heard.

  • Comment removed

  • their music still available on a CD? I am liking it

  • I worked with Danny Vaughn the singer last night, He played at the theatre I work at with The Illegal Eagles. They were awesome!

  • I loved their first album! Forever Young rocked! Great singer.

  • omg the hair

  • This band/song means alot to me. I'm 37 my daughter is 17 . And we both love this song. The meaning of the song represents different things for the both of us, but still it's the same!!

  • Hey Louvers, I hear ya. I knew of Tyketto, but thanks to hair nation, I heard this song for the first time about two weeks ago. Great ballad. I was a big hair band guy growing up and am surprised I'd never heard this song.

  • Me too, just heard on hair nation, now I have to have it all!!

  • It's such a shame that corporate American buried these guys in the early 90's. Had it not been for a flight to Florida and the tuning in of Hair Nation, I never would have even heard of them. Grunge absolutely killed real hard rock. These guys should have been huge.

What an awesome power ballad. *****

  • Like Gufurria....

  • unreal!!! I never thought I would see Tyketto video on here. Thanks a million!

  • best monster ballad ever

  • man this song is so me

  • I've been listening to this every day since I discovered this. freakin' fantastic.

note to guys who think they're "dorks" and will never get a girlfriend: just learn to sing like this. That is all you have to do. The ladies will be falling like flies at your feet.

    :)

  • Listen to that voice. Danny kicks ass!!!

  • Just heard this song on XM41 Hair Nation a day or so ago and loved it. I hear heard a song or two by the group before but this one was my fav so far. Cool group checking out more of their songs online now..

  • me too hehe i just hear it yesterday, in hair nation

  • dont you LOVE hair nation???

  • Sure do Brandy I have it playing at night in the semi while I sleep.

  • my fav dj=keith roth...you??

  • Keith is always talking about "stepping in stuff" and if I smell it... I dont wana smell anything he steps in. I like Kim BUT Daaannngerous Darren is pretty good guy too...Id have to pick Kim I think. :-)

  • kewl..i like him to

  • Yeah. They should have gone so much further than they did! Those first two albums didn't have a bad song!

  • Love this band! This has got to be maybe the best band ever that didnt get a break and make it to the big time. I call them the 1990's version of journey but a little harder.

  • tyketto are at firefest tomorrow

  • They Still put out great music just under a new name Vaughn. Me and my band are covering this song for our debut album

  • Ma chi cazzo sono, i DHAMM?

    O i Dhamm sono loro?

    Che porcheria...

Che c'entra 'sta gente col rock 'n roll?

Questa è roba per liceali ehehe, va bene per limonare...

    Mah...

    A voi il giudizio!!!

  • great band great music great song!!!

  • tyketto got held back by there record label in place of nirvana, then the hole scene changed to grunge. they whould/should have been massive. i think guns and roses were on the same label

  • I'll never forget the nights when I drove with an ferrari 328 on the highway and listened to this song. Unbelievable!

  • This Is A Great Song. I Have The Album.

  • Essa música é maravilhosa, assim como essa banda, que amo tanto.

  • I've read some of the comments on here and would just say that mostly, a lot of great bands never made it big in the 80's/90's and even now because we're constantly bombarded by teeny commercialised pop shyte. Even kerrang is complete toss calling itself rock radio. This was played on planet rock the other day and just reminded me of how good tyketto were along with countless other unsung heroes you'll never hear on so called rock stations. Class!

  • you got it daed straight there brother, I couldnt have said that any better than you did

  • Linda musica..TYKETTO é uma das mais injustiçadas e melhores bandas de Hard Rock que conheço!

    Up The Tyketto!

    Sérgio Tenório - BRASIL

  • Wow this is as good as I remember it. I cannot remember the differences now but I know I preffered the "Don't Come Easy" album version even though the difference was only very slight.

  • Man i love dis song took me 4 years 2 find d vid id love 2 get iit on cd 2 but cant in ireland :(:(

  • VERY GOOD!

  • I'd nearly forgotten about these guys because they got so little recognition back in the day, but this song rocked! And still does! I remember this was the one that made me like Tyketto in the first place!

  • Love this song. Thanks a ton for posting it bud!

  • Damn, that guitar player is great,,does anyone know his name ??

  • Brooke St. James.

Like someone said in another Tyketto video, he is one of the best guitarists that no one has ever heard of.

  • And oh my, he's burning hot!

  • why does this videotrack differs from the actual track itself?

This version is so much better!

  • I like this version better than the original too although both are phenomenal. Since they didn't release it when "Don't Come Easy" was out they re-released it(remix) on "Strength In Numbers" This is the version in the video. Peace out! /m\

  • Those were the days of the great power ballads, the long coats, the cowboy boots, the leather vests, the long hair, but most importantly, the good musicianship, the feeling, the guitar solos, the vocal harmonies. Great video clip. Thanks!

  • One of the best bands ever.Met Danny last year outside Newcastle City Hall while Journey were soundchecking and what a genuine nice guy.

  • I'm helpless, can't fight a raging heart

And I got no use for bein' torn apart

And the world don't seem to have no use for me

'Cos you've given nothing, and nothing isn't free

    chorus

You can't keep it all inside, I need someone

else to stand with me by my side

Give me something to fight, something to hold on to

I just don't wanna be standing alone

  • this is a great song! now all we have to listen to is shit shit and more shit.

  • don't tell me. I miss the 90's

  • The TRUE test of a GREAT rock band - is if they can write a melodic ballad - and hold it all together when they play and sing it. Thin Lizzy were one - and THIS TRACK is another perfect example of a REALLY GREAT band playing their finest. Tyketto are a superb band - no question.

  • Unbelievable nice Song ! Nice melodies and a wonderful voice ! May the old times come back.

i can`t hear the new "Music" anymore.......

  • Oh my !! That one almost brought a tear to my eye. Jeez, what ever happened ? And I have to agree with marioalonso1977 that Danny should be Journey'd new lead singer, that's one show I would definitely love to see.

  • absolutely...totally agree...be such a great journey singer...wow..the thought sends shivers :-)

  • Mrre airplay should have been given to this song

  • WTF? Why didn't this group make it? They sound as good (or better) than anything else out there.

  • I've played this songs many time, when I was a dj for a local station in the Netherlands.

  • to this day i still cant believe they didnt make it big, danny has one of the most powerful voices i ever heard

  • Tyketto at it's best. Simply wonderful.

  • Thanks a lot for posting!

What a great song! I've always loved this one and will always do!

  • Unbelievable fantastic great beautiful song.

  • Great memories are connected with this band,

    just listen to the intensity....

Sorry for you were never given the chance to raise to your well deserved hights...

  • Damn awesome vocalist...He should be Journey's new lead singer

  • Just watched this band play their last ever gig, in the Rosie in Belfast.

One of THE best rock vocalists and a criminally underrated songwriter... Danny Vaughn.. we are not worthy!

  • great call lynchy.danny v is an incredible musician.had the priveledge of meeting him and tony from vaughn outside newcastle city hall.what a great couple of genuine guys.

  • Back in the 90s I read Metal Edge Magazine every month. They featured this band and many others I had never heard of, as radio pretty much sucked. Because I live in Canada, I knew I wasn't about to find a cassette of theirs, so I went on a shopping trip across the border and found their second album, and bought it despite never having heard a note of their music before. I fell in love with Danny's voice, and a version of this song blew me away. Thanks for posting this video.
