i was at this game it will live with me for the rest of my life afterthe game we were in the British Legion in Bellshill last orders were shouted the round was 92 glasses of buckfast and 92 pints of beer and honest thy gave it to us ridiculous when you think there were only about 25 of us in the bar that night honest its true
What a match that was, still remember it as if it was yesterday & not 31 years ago.I was 13 at the time and at the game with my cousins, the Quinns.Memories are made of this.Hail,Hail
You CAN find these photos on some sites also, but even these are prone to being temperamental, I was about to post the site but kerrydalestreet.co.uk have some problems.
I've just checked the photographs of that Brilliant night on another site, it was daylight until about 21:00hrs, the photos are as clear as day in Celtic Park right up to the pitch celebration of the Leauge Championship.
I was there, in the "jungle" - it was a monday evening. It just has to be one of the best and most emotional nights ever at Celtic Park ever. Celtic played better once Doyle was sent off. Davie Provan and Roy Aitken were absolutely immense that night.
@stonecoldrules456 I don't remember a pitch invasion, or even a lap of honour, but I do remember the all night open air parties afterwards, the polis were to scared to break them up
Aye Timmy"s I was there that night & Rangers sat back too much after the late John Doyle was sent off, fair enough you took the honours. That is why it was so sweet 20 years later to exact revenge at CP irrespective of TGFITW's & CFC players antics that day. Salute to Neil MacCann the wee man was a God that day! We are the people.
Best game I ever seen, I was there that night, had to get all the way back to st. Mary's Academy in Bathgate, early next morning from grandas in Baillieston who got me ticket from the railway.
At the time the 16 bus went right through, had to be up early nest morning though.
I was there that night . There was a lightning strike by the BBC that day. No one ever knew why , and no one knew if it was resolved .But all the fans knew . The orangmen at the BBC ( and STV ) simply could not bear to let all the tims see the match, that's why . Bastards
Just found this and it takes me back to that night. I was 16 years old at the time and have never seen the goal since. Well done whoever posted this lost piece of history. Hail Hail
I was there. I got in with a bicycle.Though I could not get it in to the jungle.I had to settle for behind the goal. There was also a bus strike the same day.
Incredible footage! I remember reading about it the next day, Come on the 10 men, Johnny Doyle RIP sent off! I imagine it was some night to be in Paradise that night.
