Cuba is NOT Communist just as the U.S. is NOT a democracy. Very few countries follow an "ism". (Saudi Arabia & N Korea come to mind.) Our civil defense, police, fire departments, schools, post office, HUD, social security, medicare, medicaid, libraries, WIC, food stamps & corporate welfare are ALL socialist programs. Governments are a jumble of 'isms'. The best places to live? The U.S. is FAR down the list. At the top? Norway! (Democratic socialism!)
