If this is the same group "The Chimps" from the 60s, their original name was "The Thomas Edison Electric Band" from Philly. They recorded two Monkee rip-off LPs (one called "Monkey Business") for Wynkote Records with sound alike titles to fool kids (like me) into buying their budget label garage band tunes.
