Yea it scared the crap out of me too when I first saw it. But some people believe that Will Wright is the voice editor of Steve, who seems to be the first dude who entered the galactic core in Spore. I don't quite know if Steve IS Spode, he did mention something about a third rock from some star system and that is like three parsecs away from that star system, it turns out that there is a planet named "Spode" there!

This game faccinates me every time I discover something new!

i wouldnt consider this an expansion. this came out before the game. there was a trial of this where you had limited parts, or you could buy the full version and get all the parts. im guessing that one reason maxis made the creature creator before the actual game was released was because spore was such a highly anticipated game, and they wanted to give people a little taste of what was to come. just wanted to explain that this wasn't technically an expansion, people seemed confused about that =)
