This guy reminds me of Ernst Haeckel. He was a botanist/biologist back in the late 1800s who made EXTRAORDINARY plates on microscopic art forms like radiolaria and foraminifera (sp?). It's so damn amazing how complex the tiniest forms are. Willard Wigan is a truly one of a kind artist.
