what is being shown in this video is a fusion katah, it is about 2 times slower than actual pace practice(about 10 frames per second instead of 24) they are doing it very very slowly for demonstration purposes. Kalari duels normally are decided within a minute in real combat. the outcomes in most cases can be fatal if used at real pace of kalari. what is being shown in this video is a fusion katah, it is about 2 times slower than actual pace practice(about 10 frames per second instead of 24) they are doing it very very slowly for demonstration purposes. Kalari duels normally are decided within a minute in real combat. the outcomes in most cases can be fatal if used at real pace of kalari. It is just that you havent seen a real fight, probably because a real fight have never been picturised till date with real force in death duels.

Bodhidharma a Biudhist Patriarct was a veteran inthis art when he came to china he teach to chinese monk the execersices from this art cause they were to weak and then from the excersices mixed whit military fighting techniques came shaolin. In Shaolin you can see many yoga asanas in Chi Kung forms if you look well

man i don´t confabulate the theory look for the true origins of martiarts you´ll see india and china conection and if you say take a look at wikipedia then take it you it Check The Traditrions spreaded from India to china the Buddism concepts.
Take a look to this story i don´t make it up a monk call Bodhidharma was called to spread New budism teachings (Chan Buddism or Zen in japanese culture)to other countries.

When he get to the Shaolin monastery, monks were sceptical about his new teachings then Bodhidharma gets to a cave in the Mountain of The Five animals and he begin and practice of 9 years of meditation sometimes he gets up to take the pain out of the legs and when the blood was circultaing normaly he begin to meditate again, monks seeing his determination accept his teaching he seeing the wickness of the monks teach them excercise based in 5 animals later his excercise mixed whit military.

stop making up your own hilarious history. The Yi Jin Jing is the thing that talks about Bodhi. its the SOLE base for the claim, and even IT says he only stare at the wall. then leave a scroll that taught kung fu. problem was it was falsely attributed to him.

all martial arts come from India... India is the most ancient civilisation... more ancient than Egipt... Other thing... before Bodhidharma went to Shaolin temple the chinese monks don't practiced martial arts at all... the biggest physical work they did were write (!), translating buddhist text from sanksrit to chinese... Bodhidharma went there and saw that their healt were pitiful, so he had compassion and teached them yoga and many exercises form indian martial arts... so STFU

explains that the two men who became the FIRST shaolin monks, were already experts in kung fu. Senchou was even a skill with the Tin Staff. it is recorded in the Chinese Buddhist Canon.

there were many chinese martial arts before shaolin. jiao li for example. which is the ancestor of qin na, jiu jutsu, and judo.

fact: preface of 1800 versions of yi jin jing is the only primary source that credits bodhidharama with kung fu and its been discredited.

The Yin Jin Jing is full of historical inaccuracies as well. for example, it was Li Jing's foreword that says shaolin kung fu came from bodhidharama. it also refers to the 10th year of the Taihe period of Emperor Xiaoming of Northern Wei.
The Taihe reign wasnt even under Emperor Xiaoming but Xiaowen. Also, in its 10th year, 487CE, shaolin was not even built yet accoridng to the Jiaqing Chongxiu Yitongzhi which dates at 497CE.

HI dude thought i will not comment but just a small update for u indus civilization is old as u rightly said and the people who spread from that place have the same culturesame concepts of god and every thing....vedas are the base for every one india its just that some countries that exist now adoped Islamic culture...iam pretty sure even before kalari orginated human beigns had some techniques to fight...but modern kungfu did not orginate before bodhidarma came to china...

Bullshit!!! Systema is russian all the way. By the way Pammachon (Pankration) is the oldest martial art recorded however that doesn't make it the oldest. Martial arts from any ethnic group go back to the stone age. Systema has no resemblance to Vajra Mushti.

Wrong he did show things and not zen techniques since he was from the Mahayana Budhism he thought HATHA Yoga Asanas and Pranayama exercises basically the tantra that was later adopted in china in taoism.

The ancient Hindu scriptures talk of the great battle of Mahabharata where there were 'Vimana' or fire chariots that could shoot fire from the sky and destroy targets on the ground. This sounds like an aircraft to me. Also certain explosions were so powerful that they destroyed life in a radius of many many miles. Sounds like Ballistic or nuclear warhead to me. of course it was dismissed by western historians as mythology etc.
