  • awesome and you make it easy to make

  • @moss3561

Thank you so much, your words just mean a lot!

    :-D

  • I can't get the last step when you make the doves head.... HELP

  • @megaklb1234

    Sorry for being late!

After step 20 and its repetition, when you open the piece along its main axis like I do, you see a diamond whose upper sides are given by the paper and whose lower ones are given by those folds obtained through steps 20-21.

    Step 22 goes like this:

With the model in your hand like I do, push the diamond towards yourself, so that its upper vertex points toward you. Then, fold once again the model along its vert. axis, in order to close it.

  • Use sound

  • @100mathtest

English is not my first language, origami terminology is quite specific... and, in my humble opinion, origami doesn't really need to talk: to me, is more like carefully watching what's shown, understanding it, memorizing it, and finally repeating it on one's piece of paper.

Background music-sounds? I'm planning to compose a background music myself.

    Anyway.

Did you like how your dove came out?

    ^_^

  • nice

  • @TheVovici

    Thank you very much!

  • ok

  • you should talk while doing this

  • @kriss9173555

I've been considering explaining what I'm doing, while I'm doing it, but I haven't, yet.

    1) English is not my first language

    2) origami terminology is quite specific

    3) many other tutorialists on YT already do that... I guess "mute tutorials" are kinda my style!

    Anyway.

In case a step resulted not so clear, feel free to ask: I may write down an explanation here!

    ^_^

  • did it on my first try!!! oh yeah!!!!!

  • @TheKimkim111

Definitely, be proud of yourself! Congratulations!

    :-D

  • los ultimos 2 min son muy explicativos e instructivos =)

  • @ExBrotherHood99

    Muchas, muchas gracias!

    Su comentario tan recompensa!

    :-)

  • it's too hard to me :/

  • @Monky648

If you're stuck on step 10, here it comes an explanation:

By using the crease obtained with step 8, you open up a bit the figure and push the lower diagonal side of the triangle towards the interior, so that it's in the same position it was while making step 8 but inside and its tip touches the middle axis of the figure...

Otherwise, in case you're stuck on another step... just ask!

    ^_^

  • @Monky648

    P.S.

Succeeding in anything always begins with: "I can do it!"

    ;-)

  • it dont work

    -_-

  • @scott30021

If you arrived to the last step, unfold the whole model and, by using the creases on the piece, check whether you've correctly made each single step.

If you're stuck on a specific step, feel free to let me know its number, in order to let me write down an explanation!

  • Thanks!! I need this for the peace day in my school!! I like your videos!! THANKS!

  • @davidsamford

Thanks to you, for both appreciating my videos and for letting me now that I was actually able to help!

    :-D

    Have a great peace day!

    ^_^

  • Nice bro

  • @hmdd

Thanks to you, for such a nice comment!

    :-)

  • fuck this

  • @jonnyhereman

    What?

    Origami?

    The dove?

    The tutorial?

    Peace?

Your comment, put like that, serves to nothing... aside from communicating... what?

Did you have a bad day? If that's the case, do you really think that being rude on my video can really help you?

Was a specific step a bit difficult? If that's the case, wouldn't it be better to let me know what step, so that I can give a written explanation?

Remember, you'll harvest what you sow... good or bad.

  • 7:32 Sorry, But You Scare Me..

  • @ibarrajovas80

There's a *video* showing two hands making a *peace* dove, with subtitles wishing *peace* around... just these three details would be enough for not actually having a real reason to be scared.

I'll add another one: I'm physically disabled and I move around with tripods or with my wheelchair.

That, at 7:32, it's just a random move.

    Have a good day!

  • dont cut ur fingernails so often

  • @coldobina

    I never have cut them, in effects: the problem is that sometimes... I end biting them... ^_^;;

  • Great tutorial! ,

I folded the dove for a friend, And attached it to a world peace flame candle.

    Thanks a lot!,

  • @777mo7

I'm sure your friend will totally love it! :-)

Many thanks to you, for letting me know about this story of friendship between two human friends!

    :-)

  • :-0

  • @joaquinextube

An amazing design, don't you think!

Who invented this was greatly inspired!

    ^_^

  • This video helps clear my mind of bad toughts.... ahh

  • @meeptron1

I'm so glad that it's able to help you... really, thank you for letting know about that!

From human being to human being, may this new year bring good thoughts and many reasons to smile to you!

    :-)

  • it brilliant and all...... but dont u think thats a wee bit silly.... i mean human being to human being... why didnt u just say person to person.............. but other than that it was great!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :)

  • @swadedoran

    English isn't my first language.

Anyway, I researched in Google and saw that "from human being to human being" is found 32,900 times (hence, it's still admitted!), while "from person to person" is used like 27 millions times; definitely, the second one is more frequent, but imho the first one adds more... depth and meaning, I think.

Sometimes I write songs or poems or novels: I guess my choice of words sometimes spontaneously reflects this.

    My two cents.

    Thanks!

  • thankyou!

your instructions are very clear :D

  • @xBreeTannerx

Thanks to you, for being so kind and telling such rewarding words: clarity is just my main goal, with these tutorials!

    :-D

  • A really nice vid. Thank you...

  • @DGA2000

Thanks to you, for stopping by and leaving such nice words!

    :-D

  • 27 people don't understand the AWESOMENESS of origami!!!!! Nice job on the video by the way ;)

  • @CobaltStormDragon

I guess it really takes some sensitivity for to being one of those persons able appreciate the amazing beauty of origami!

Thank you so much for being one of them and for your rewarding appreciation!

  • @danbergam Yup! (When making origami, mostly it's about FOLLOWING the directions carefully! Just some advice for the people who are struggling) :3 Your welcome! Keep it up! :D

  • @CobaltStormDragon

You would be a great origami teacher!

    I'll keep it up!

    :-D

  • @danbergam :-) I'm intermediate I guess but Thanks! :P

  • I don't get why you guys say it's difficult, I did it the first time and it turned out AWESOME (:

He made it so simple, just look carefully how he is doing it and be CALM, when you start getting annoyed, that's when you mess it up

  • @GrrApple

There are people who better learn by watching; and there are people, according to what some told me through this experience on YT, who better learn by listening to some verbal explanations.

But let me thank you not only for your very kind words, that I much appreciate... but for that advice as well: really, keeping one's calmness can make a lot of difference!

And... isn't origami about that as well, after all?

    Thank you again!

    :-D

  • @danbergam No, let me thank you instead for teaching us how to make such a beautiful bird <3

Yes, it is. That's why I've started learning, with all the pressure I find this very relaxing and the results makes you want to learn more (:

  • @GrrApple

It's my turn to thank you, for putting a smile on my face!

Origami can be definitely used for that... and isn't it amazing, what wonders one can obtain from a regular piece of paper? It's something which never misses to amaze me... because it kinda looks like magic!

    And yeah, it's addicting too!

    ^_^

  • Really easy to follow, except at the end where you fold the birds' head. I keep screwing up at that part -.-'

  • @DPVSMemorial

An advice I might give you is to concentrate on one step at a time, by watching it as much as it's needed to memorize it and applying it to your piece of paper, and then going on with the next one.

Because when put together in sequence they're more challenging.

Let me know how it goes, please!

  • thanks, easy enough to understand it perfectly thank you very much

  • @gothicblackmoon

Thanks to you, for your kindness and for so nicely pointing out an aspect on which I did my best to focus!

    :-)

  • I got stuck on step 10 so i just gave up maybe you should make the steps more clearer next time :)

  • @CrownedChickenMovies

    Why do you give up?

Just scroll down in the comments and you'll find out that I explained it several times.

Anyway, I report the explanation here.

By using the crease obtained with step 8, you open up a bit the figure and push the lower diagonal side of the triangle towards the interior, so that it's in the same position it was while making step 8 but inside and its tip touches the middle axis of the figure...

  • it freaking sucks!!!

  • aasxddddddddd

  • @xiuren92

    ???

    ^_^

  • aaaaa

  • @xiuren92

    ?

  • i wasted paper on this

  • @kathybest1 And then you wasted seconds of your life trolling about it.

  • @kathybest1

    We may solve that.

What step went wrong? I might write down an explanation for it!

    ^_^

  • very nice, thanks!

  • @m1rrow

Thanks to you, for your very kind words!

    :-D

  • Thanks bro! This was awesome.

  • @phanable1

Thanks to you, for your very kind words!

    :-D

  • some commentary would help...

  • @NikkiTheHedgehog723

    Sorry about that!

English is not my first language and I'm not still comfortable at the idea of adding some verbal instructions.

Anyway, since the beginning of this series I chosed to number the steps in order to give the chance to anyone to ask advices on any step.

Hence, if you want, feel free to ask me for a written explanation about any part you want.

    ^_^

  • to much words in the beginning. I still like it

  • @doodoolegoman5

In facts, I should keep the intro shorter, in my next tutorials!

    Thank you!

  • 22 people are chatolic

  • @carlos123456789rodri

Those 22 *can* actualy be catholic, because a peace dove is a well recognized symbol in that catholic religion.

Oh, and... let's include myself too, in the count. 23!

    ^_^

  • i made it up to 3:13

And, receiveing comments from people around the world is always so amazing... and gratifying, speaking about the good ones!

  • @Bisby219

    ...

  • @danbergam Tobuscus, is a comedy YouTube gamer... sorry

  • Great tutorial, but you should put some music in it aswell, as long as your not saying anything.

  • @broadude

It's what I'm doing, in facts, with all of my latest tutorials: the problem with this video is that... well, I forgot to put some background soundscapes (I usually use a soundscapes generator that randomly mixes recorded natural sounds)...

    ^_^

  • remember me

  • @ShyShyChy

    Yes! I remember about you!

    ^_^

  • @danbergam YAY lets chat dude

  • Dont mind what others say bad about u.

You are giving them knowledge and it is a big thing.

    keep it up.

  • @mustang7535

Really, knowledge is one of the most important things we can share... together with Love, by the way! ^_^

Thank you so much, for enlightening my day with such rewarding and encouraging words!

I'll keep it up and... well, the best has yet to come!

    :-D

  • Don't mind what the others say; you are great!

  • @AbsolutelyCharged

I read this and I smiled... and I'm smiling now as well!

Thank you so much for your kindness... it's really rewarding!

    :-)

  • @danbergam You're welcome! The love of my life is on an holiday and i wanted to write her a letter, so I took a memo block and I wrote a small letter on it. I fold it into this Dove and she was so thankfull for it!! n.n

  • @AbsolutelyCharged

That was such a nice idea from you... I'm more than sure she loved it!

Congratulations for being not afraid to show your feelings to the one you love (some people, sadly, can't do that...)... and thank you so much for letting me know about this story of love: in these troubled times, such things like this really make the difference!

    :'-)

  • BORING!! no music???

  • @sileray777

As far as I can guess, you're watching this with a computer... hence, while you watch and fold, you can always listen to whatever CDs and/or MP3s and such...

    ^_^

    P.S.

After all, the main thing about origami isn't the background music... ;-)

  • @danbergam sorry but i only speak the truth>>> BORING

  • @sileray777

If I was in you, rather than "the truth" I would call it "my opinion"... and, you know what? I respect it.

    Have a good day.

  • lol I suckass

  • your explanations are super POOR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @ardashakhass

Technically... there aren't explanations at all, in my tutorials; I just show the steps.

In case, don't mind and ask, I'm ready to write down an explanation for any step!

  • @ardashakhass I muted the video on purpose .., and My Dove ended looking better than his..

  • @ardashakhass your ability to watch and understand is super poor

  • thanks

  • @Devilkid3641

Thanks to you, for stopping by and being so gentle!

  • @ShyShyChy

Oh, you know, it's just that it isn't that easy to push me to do anything... but I have to admit that this sequence of "thumb up" from your has been quite funny and original.

That's why... *not* because you asked for it, but only made up my mind... I'll rate a couple of your comments with a thumb-up!

  • @danbergam oh yeah i know after reading that comment 5 time i understood

  • @ShyShyChy

You know, English isn't my first language... I wouldn't be surprised if something in the way/form I wrote it made it more confused!

    Shame on me!

    xD

  • @danbergam LOL

  • @Luvpeaceheartsong

Thanks to you, for your kind comment... and for putting a warm smile on my face!

    :-)

  • i wasnt saying you were bad, just that i like him better

  • @Bakuganrules101

Oh, sorry, I didn't realize you were replying to someone else.

  • W0W This vid kinda suked try talking and explaing next time like @RobH0629

  • @Wogleumpoo

English isn't my 1st language, hence I don't feel totally comfortable in talking origami... still, I'm planning to try.

About the term "sucking" you attached to this video... I think origami doesn't necessarily needs spoken instructions, imho, is more a matter of watching what the demonstrator does and repeat it on your own piece of paper...

I understant, though, it's also a matter of how one learns better.

Doing comparisons in that way isn't so great... each one has its style.

  • @Wogleumpoo RobH0629 is my fav person on youtube

  • @Bakuganrules101

...and it's your sacrosaint right to have your preferences! :-)

Still, beginning with a "this kinda sucked" and ending with something like "do like him" isn't really nice towards me... I mean, I'm myself, I have my style and I don't necessarily need to do whatever he does...

Anyway, as I told, I've already planned to try to give spoken instructions in my next tutorials...

  • does it have to be 18 x 18 cm?
