This is so great! I have CS5 and I have never used any of them before. I opened the window for the first time and felt like I was reading another language. These are the MOST helpful videos ever! Keep them coming! <3
my canon 40d dosen`t have this ``color selection`` function. But! my canon powershot A540 ``pocket camera`` have this function! AND why those fucking japanese people don`t put this function on a semipro camera? and we need to get in cs 4 to make that? wtfk man....
Another excellent tutorial! You should assemble a whole series of these and approach Adobe with them... At very least you would get a subscription to the newest versions, and perhaps some compen$ation as well!
I use color range selection alot in CS1. Just bought CS4 tonight, and this is one more awesome feature. I don't see alot of revolutionary changes between CS1 and CS4 but there are many tweaks like this that will help alot!!! Content aware scaling should be cool to!

why not use the cs4 tools there is a much better way then this dup layer make one B&W with the new B&W tool then mask with Colour range simple and more control over the b&w part as you can adjust for contrast on the b&w part
I really like your tutorials (including this one), they're all helpful and based on things people would like to do on cs4, Thank you for helping all us Youtube member !
how to correct some areas after color range OK confirmation ? because I get grey on some areas I don't want still ...tried to be hero and use eraser tool but mission failed ... only layer mask is on my mind ... but suck at it .... black and white brush stuff ...
This was wonderful! Thank you so much, you're easy to understand and MUCH more help than even my own Fundamentals professor in college. Love your channel.
It is cause of the kind of photoshop you are using. If you are using Photoshop CS4 only then you won´t get the 3D, but if you use the EXTENDED CS4 then you will get 3D.
I would like to see this tutorial done on a little more complicated subject. Such as where there is a similar color or shade next to the object that you are singling out.Example, a white colored shirt and a light turquoise sweat shirt etc.
This was great, thank you so much, as I am new to CS4 I am unfamiliar with the software. You show one option and it can be used on other colors! Have you done other tuturials on other software? If not you should.
thanks thats awesome stuff, only problem im having is using this method to selective more than one colour to pop from the back and white blacground.....any help please?
Hi i used the same procedure but during selecting color range some other parts like persons lips were selected....how can we remove those particular selected paths?
nicely done...i will use this technique too...thank u much

too tedious....! all you need to do:
Quick Selection Tool
select what you want to stay as the color
right click Layer via copy
select original layer
go image, adjustments, black and white
and ur done
rather than clicking all the shit in this one...
