@japslapr There is a reason for lack of displacement, higher revs, they are inversly proportional. So don't use that as an excuse. I wouldnt exactly consider a Zo6 a super car neither. 700 HP on stock internals wont last long in that supra, after a few months he wont be making that kind of power, but then again every owner runs to his laptop and detunes it so it lasts. I admit the power made off stock internals is impressive, but its reliability is not.
@silvertip69 Not 100% accurate. Ford's new 302 rev's to 7500, and so does my WRX (in stock form). But in general, yes, smaller cubed cars rev much higher. Not sure where or why this place a factor in my comment tho. Also, I thought this was a Z06 which I do consider a super car. And, in stock form, there would have been the same outcome. Supra's have broken into the 900+ area with stock motors, they'll be pretty safe at 6-700 IMO.
@japslapr For the most part, yes but it's really about the speed of the piston moving up and down. If you've got a long stroke you don't want to rev as high but in theory you could create a big displacement engine with really fat bores and short strokes and rev it to hell and back.
heres a point you cant argue with, stock for stock 4 cylinders will ALWAYS need forced induction to win a race against a v8, either that or AWD for better launch if it was a short race.....when you start modding engines its all about who has more money and time thats it, i bet you put a hyabusa engine in a smart car put a turbo on it and it would slap that supras fat ass all over, cant argue that V8 is always more powerful from factory. take the turbo off any 4banger and its slow as shit.

It looks like MidnightCrewCom is a channel made to promote GReedy products, as most of their vids have a car they modded beating out supercars... OF COURSE the Supra will win! Can't blame them though, looks like the Supra got quite a bit of an HP boost in this vid. But let's be real... throw 2 turbos in a z06 and it will kick the shit out of the Supra. Modern technology + massive engine displacement give the Corvette an advantage a stock Supra just can't match.

@japslapr There is a reason for lack of displacement, higher revs, they are inversly proportional. So don't use that as an excuse. I wouldnt exactly consider a Zo6 a super car neither. 700 HP on stock internals wont last long in that supra, after a few months he wont be making that kind of power, but then again every owner runs to his laptop and detunes it so it lasts. I admit the power made off stock internals is impressive, but its reliability is not.

@silvertip69 Not 100% accurate. Ford's new 302 rev's to 7500, and so does my WRX (in stock form). But in general, yes, smaller cubed cars rev much higher. Not sure where or why this place a factor in my comment tho. Also, I thought this was a Z06 which I do consider a super car. And, in stock form, there would have been the same outcome. Supra's have broken into the 900+ area with stock motors, they'll be pretty safe at 6-700 IMO.

@japslapr For the most part, yes but it's really about the speed of the piston moving up and down. If you've got a long stroke you don't want to rev as high but in theory you could create a big displacement engine with really fat bores and short strokes and rev it to hell and back.

heres a point you cant argue with, stock for stock 4 cylinders will ALWAYS need forced induction to win a race against a v8, either that or AWD for better launch if it was a short race.....when you start modding engines its all about who has more money and time thats it, i bet you put a hyabusa engine in a smart car put a turbo on it and it would slap that supras fat ass all over, cant argue that V8 is always more powerful from factory. take the turbo off any 4banger and its slow as shit.

Then again im speaking from a circuit point of view. In my case I definitely wouldn't want a supra, and the skyline is too difficult to get up here. psh id probably snatch the ls1 engine and throw it in a rx7 or silvia for convenience.

@PrettyBoy2142 There's an 01 Z06 3 owners with only 78k miles on Ebay with 1 hour 11 minutes left it has 572rwhp, it has heads/cam full exhaust and a procharger and all supporting mods. Owner said it had a conservative daily driver tune at 572rwhp and it can do way more with an more aggressive tune....and did I mention it's at no reserve with the highest bid so far being at $19,062.00? NUFF' SAID!
