Anyone else confused why a high 15 sec Grand Am has a 155 mph speedo and a High 14 sec GTP has a 115? I guess for the same reason a Corolla has a 145 mph speedo and a base model eclipse has a 170 mph one.Maybe so manufacturers can sell their slow cars to dumb people?

yea the manuals are about 1 second faster in the 1/4, but i can assure you a MTX is not running 13s in the 1/4. I would have raped even a highly modded MTX.

I crashed my srt-4 and got a gtp with the insurance. They feel about the same except the Neon is faster off the line. Anyway. The GTP makes for a MUCH faster car after mods. I put less than half the money in my gtp than I put in my srt and I'm getting 60 more horses and high 12's-low 13's in the quarter

i'm not saying that the lx is anything fantastic, just correcting chronikman. and yes a stock lx may not be much for a wrx, but with any mild engine work you would be massacred, you simply can't spend the same amount on both cars and see the same gains, a v8 will make power easier every time
