I was lucky enough to be up there on a warm, relatively clear day last summer (thunderstorms hit later but we were off the mountain and in Asheville by the time that happened).
I hiked the mile to Mt. Craig, which was really magical, since it's not developed like the Mitchell summit, but still has great views.
