  • Fuck you in the brain bullshit!

  • He forgot Robot Jox.

  • Yeah, the recent Transformers movie animations are such extreme tragedies. I don't know who can actually get enjoyment from watching that pile of shit. After seeing the first one, I couldn't bring myself to watch any of the sequels. Just so horribly done.

  • puppet master 54? ok...

  • O DON'T CARE THAT YOU ARE A FUCKING MORMAN SCIENTIST!!!!

  • Robo Warriors = the closest we'll get to a live action American made gundam (plot seems to fall into place, teen with some kinda techno skills finds a robot and fights an oppresive regime with their own robots)

  • Robot Wars was the best worst movie I've ever seen in my life!

  • i saw robot wars!!!

  • Theres fucking robot to transport people but the tvs atent LCD

  • Lucus Geroge LOL

  • Lol, a little better :P

  • the closer we cant get to a mechwarrior movie

  • Yup, the bots in Transformers ARE TOO flexible and ghetto. Micheal Bay shame on you! Shame on you! Can't hate he made a billion dollars. But please quit since you are ahead.

  • them finding the robot in the woods and rebuilding it makes me think of Gundam 0080 War in the Pocket because on their the older dudes Zaku is shot down and hidden in the woods and him and his little kid friend rebuild it so they can go and destroy the Gundam

  • robot wars wasn't a game show! did you ever see prizes or money being won? no it was a show for aldults, to build robots then watch the them get trashed, it lasted very long 9 serises i think but by the 8th season ppl where bored and the BBC got rid of it, channel 5 took it and really fucked it, with the BBC you never had ads, on 5 you did, so what do they do? show what's going to happen after the ads, *facedesk* the seasons from 1 to 7 are about the onmly good ones, they also made a magazine

  • Computers fucked everything up and now a lot of action movies just look like pixar cartoons.

  • I would play 2:17 to 2:21, banging on my chests and acting like some gorilla on crack.

  • This may not be relevant, but I remember growing up with something called Zoids - it featured awesome robot animals that could be piloted via cockpit/controls, and duked it out in battle a whole lot. The scorpion-robot from Robot Wars immediately reminded me of one of the Zoid species. Zoids was first created as a model kit line in the 80s, and more recently became multiple seasons of TV shows (that are no longer airing in America - heck, even the model kits aren't sold in stores here anymore.)

  • I want to see puppet master 54 : (

  • Someone tell me if you remember this. I remember a trailer on one of the VHS tapes for what looked like an awesome movie. I could NEVER find it. Low and behold in 1997 it came out. It was STARSHIP TROOPERS. I was like daaam that took a long time for the movie to come out??? I do remember watching the trailer before a robot movie & it was the scene when all the 'bugs' were coming to swarm the outpost. I could never find that tape again with that starship trooper trailer. I still think I was nuts

  • And my friend says that CG makes everything look realistic

  • @104dragonman yea i bet the also say that sex with a sex doll its realistic

  • Michael Bay's Transformers sucked horribly. The whole fluid jerky camera thing was incredibly lame, and I agree, not robotic at all. I sometimes hate CGI because of their misuse of it, and really miss the days of animatronics, masks and puppets.

  • star wars ftw

  • @dlonewolf69

At 1:06 I had a strange feeling, that I've heard this before :D

  • can you review a mockbuster

  • do you want a GOOD robot combat game?!

well sort of . . . play supreme commander for the PC & XBOX 360

you actually command robots to go to war in a giant mecha AND it is very very unique

  • TBH robot wars is not a sequel to robot jox the only connection os the producer of the 2 movies are the same.

  • Michael Bay could really learn something from this movie.

  • Dark Moon entertainment correct?

  • I LOVED this as a kid.

  • ahha transformers bots are meant to be flexible like that.. except when they transform, it should be more robotic

  • Play

    0:35 - 0:40

    and then

    1:01 - 1:06

  • @LoneWolfSquall3000

How could you have possibly spot this out? Even when I watched this my first time I didn't realize this.

  • @LoneWolfSquall3000 good catch

  • @LoneWolfSquall3000 that was really... unexpcted.

  • Robot wars is a tv show, LET THE WARS BEGIN!!!

  • Damn, I haven't seen the Robot Wars VHS since 1994. It was on the shelf of the local video rental shop.

  • Comment removed

  • robo warriors was one of my favorite movies back in my childhood, especially the scene when he discoveres that robot in the jungle.

  • ROBOT WARS!

  • To make a little argument on your statement of "The Transformers are too swift and too flexible", the Transformers are alien robots. And that's what I love, want and expect in Transformers, Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen and Transformers: Dark of the Moon; fast-paced, high-octane, insane, explosive, mind-blowing action! Now, I haven't seen any bit of the G1 cartoon, but weren't the robots in the cartoon swift and flexible as well? A little food for thought.

  • How about Robot Jox and Crash & Burn. Those two remind me of Sci-Fi, during it's 90's heyday along with Death Machine, Evolver and some other killer robot ones.

  • You say it!! the new robots are not robotic, and that is a problem for my point of view.

    Hate transformers

  • anyone notice in the second clip after Freddie the guy puts his hand up before sparks fly at his face?

  • Lol Sony t.v's in the "advanced" robot vehicle thing.

  • this remains me of the Zoid's figures. they were awesome

  • "with both being made in the 90s and such similar titles it's hard to tell which is which"

    He says it twice.

    Just sayin'

  • I like how he says buried.

  • Oh man, I remember watching "Robot Wars" in the 90s. I took it out of the video store. I remember there was only one great robot left and then they find the second one in the nick of time to fight the other one.

  • Said both being made in the ninetys its hard to tell which is which twice....

  • The Robot Wars show reference stole the show on this one, that was such a badass show, they need to bring it back. I don't know ANYONE who didn't like either that or Battlebots.

  • Oh man, talk about blast to the past.

  • God I love that robot fighting show Robot Wars, shame that show is no longer running not even re-runs.

  • the alien robot looks like Decompose.

  • i had the game for game boy in color it was cool seeing my favorite robots but it sucked soooo bad.

  • JESUS! Where's a good site to download bad movies!???? Please help!

  • @ninjazombie213 anywhere like thepiratebay or megaupload

  • The movies are so faithful to like those other robot cartoons made by japan from the good old days which is an added bonus.

  • Interesting video James.

  • "The movies suck, but the robot scenes are good"

It seem like things haven't changed much in twenty years.

  • @crosstrigger1 Except the part about the robot scenes being good. Now, they suck as bad as the movies.

  • @crosstrigger1 Well played sir. I salute you. <3

  • Sweet! I actually worked on a bit of Robo Warriors. Cheese yeah, but nice to hear the name again. Think it's the first time I've actually heard someone else mention it... ever! ;)

  • Robot Wars had great stop-motion effects by Dave Allen and Jim Danforth. Robo Warriors just looks cheesy.

  • PLEEEEEESE REVIEW TETSUO!!!!

  • Both movies suck but robots are awesome. That's the whole idea.

  • 3:25 ya!!!

  • MechWarrior FTW!

  • I would rather have the Zoids Anime series for my giant Robot fix.

At least Zoids has got a really interesting storyline although it is a 52 episode series known as the Chaotic Centuary. The New Centuary has a completely different storyline in the Zoids anime storyline.

But if I had to chose between watching an anime I like, compared to watching movies that are only got a few good robot scenes and most of it bad acting and poorly put together story, I would know what I would want to watch.

  • My favorites... I own theme both.

  • some reason the robots remind me of the megazords from Power Rangers!

  • i bought transmorphers as a kid... thought it was transformers then scratched the fucking hell out of it!!!

  • What about robot jocks?

  • Most robots in real life today do not move jerky, they move pretty swiftly, especially ones in car factories. Animatronics such as Disney's are also incredibly swift and show no jerk at all. So something swift and smooth would actually probably end up being more realistic. The robots in iRobot are a good example. Unless the people who make the movie want them to purposely be jerky, a swift machine is more fitting, but opinion plays into how it's received anyway.

  • @xXRackas321Xx Well, that, and, you have to put into account how old school James is.

  • Oh yeah!

  • apparently . . . 30 faggots disliked this u_u

must be cus they have no soul u_u

  • remind me of Zoids

  • I used to looooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooove Robot Jox as a kid.

  • that robot wars game show was so FUCKIN COOL!

  • Transmorhers...

  • comparing it to transformers is a bit unrealistic, their a race of robots who fought in wars and speak like humans, and it was based off a cartoon, the robots are suppose to move unrealistically not like at 5 miles per hour

  • Comment removed

  • lol

    loucas.....

  • 02:32 Reminds me of Decompose of InHumanoids

  • Bring Firefly back

  • i gotta say both these movies look more entertaining than transmorphers

  • You didnt even show or mention that the second movie robo warriors starred the actor i like named James Remar. He played Ajax in The Warriors, Raiden in mk2, and Harrey in Dexter. And much more. Not an A lister but i think hes a pretty good actor. I think that there are alot of nerds out there who like the The Warriors so i think mentioning him would have been a good idea.

  • woah that dinosaur robot looks like mechagodzilla 3 or kiryu

  • Did anyone else get an ad for a piece of shit called LaLaLoopsy's Birthday Party?

  • i recommend seeing real steel. it makes the robots like transformers but it still withholds the old animatronic robot limits and blocky movement.

  • if i see another commercial for fred 2... im going to kill me and everyone around me...

  • @aveng3r89 ooooh i wanna try it.. ill go send u a link.. good luck dude!

  • stop balming people who can't spell properly. English isn't everyone's native tounge. Also you don't know if he has a spelling disorder or something. Stop hatin, watch the youtube video.

  • 2:17

That scared the Cr## outta me >:(

  • @TXIIILightAgent1994 Why censor crap? I like crap! I love crap! I need crap! Crap crap crap! Crap crap crap crap!

  • @TXIIILightAgent1994 lol i wonder if that was intentional

  • @TXIIILightAgent1994 Did you really just censor the word "crap"?

  • @staphinfection

    *puts on Arnold Schwarzenegger voice*

    That's the joke :|

  • lol you shoulda did robot jox too that movie was horribly awesome

  • James Rolfe has seen the Robot Wars TV show.

    I came.

  • That "Robo Warriors" movie looks sweet, will have to check it out. And nice shout out to Robot Jox, which kicks butt. All better than the right-wing pro-military crap called "Transformers" that has nothing to do with actual Transformers, it's just a movie about the military featuring robots meant to sell toys and war to kids.

  • I would watch this dumb shit... i don't really know why, but i would

  • I want james to review this crappy movie called and i'm not kidding. Killer clowns from outer space. They kill us with cotton candy guns and popcorn launchers. What ever they where smoking i want a hit! XD

  • @Retrogamer712 Killer Clowns is a great movie. Don't let the door hit you in the butt on the way out.

  • @Retrogamer712 he already knows of the movie and hopefully will review it some time soon he mentioned it i believe either in the 2007 monster madness or the 2009 monster madness i am pretty sure though it was 09 .

  • Quality DVD for $2.99. Win.

  • I saw this and thought, "Where's Craig Charles?"

  • @Terrakinetic Well, this is the review for the movies.

  • @spongebot64 Naturally. But to not even show his face 0:40 is disappointing.

  • okay this is MONSTER MADNESS, not ROBOT MADNESS

  • @MegaMc55 Its his series, he can do whatever the fuck he wants. He could even throw in a care bear movie in if he wanted.

  • @NoGripRacingGTR2 yes but if you going to call it monster madness have horror, not sci-fi, that's like i made a show called JUNGLES OF THE EARTH and it's only about machines. IT MAKES NO SENSE

  • Power Rangers... 'Nuff said...

  • @nicknock100 Power Rangers S.P.D. - 'Robopalooza'. 'Nuff said.

  • @PiratedComedy make that 'Robotpalooza'. An all Megazord episode.

  • According to IMDB Loucas George produced 51 episodes of O.C. California. Making trash in the 1990s and 2000s, great job Loucas

  • comparing those kind of robots with transformers is just wrong

  • a Fred Halloween movie? NO, NO, DOES NOT COMPUTE!

  • @TheKaijuCritic94 Just ignore it and it will go away.

  • "With such similar titles, and both being made in the 90:s, its hard to remember wich is wich"

He says this 2 times! xD

  • @TheLazysketcher you spelled "which" two times, so dont judge him

  • @TheLazysketcher Spell "which" right.

  • @MrSonichu Yeah yeah yeah Mr Spellright T_T

  • @TheLazysketcher He was just continuing after a digression

  • robots are cool

  • omg transmorphers, the only movie with stop motion cgi..

  • That robot scene from Terminator 1 has always scared the fuck out of me

  • Robo Warriors...A.K.A Mobile Suit Gundam (live action) lol....

  • Robot Jox was awesome, Robot wars was quite poor, a pity :D

  • Came expecting robot wars the tv show :_(

  • 2:57 so true

  • Holy crap, Robotjox, I remember a bit if the trailer, "I'm gonna kick! Your! (Trailer clip ends)" like the 90s version of "This! Is! Sparta!" As a kid, I remember being impressed at how Hollywood released a movie that was everything I could ask for.

  • These movies look awesome, reminds me of the movie Robotjocks. Well, when i say awesome i mean awesomely bad.....which is good.

  • As bad as those two robot movies are, they are more entertaining than G-Saviour (Bandai's sad attempt at making a live-action Gundam).

And James, if you want a really bad robot movie, go hunt down Resiklo, a 2007 sci-fi movie made in the Philippines.

  • the scorpion robot looks too much like a ZOID.

the skeleton robot looks like that one monster from INHUMANOIDS

    awesome

  • there's also "Robot Jox"...where they head rosots /w ppl in them rep 1 group of nations against another...

  • @FanPortal2 It may be for you since your from the States, but over where I live in England, its called Robot Wars.

  • I miss MechWarrior

  • @FoxrainFuture It's returning at last! check out @InnerSphereNews on twitter

  • YES! OH MY GOD PEOPLE DOING CG NEED TO LEARN THAT OBJECTS HAVE FUCKING WEIGHT

  • I thought you where talking about the show of robot wars

  • Robot Jox.... Best battling robots movie ever.

  • Get him with the clamps!

  • I liked robot wars when I first saw it. I also liked robot jox. I am a lot older now though, but I think I would still get some entertainment out of them.

  • the robot sceleten dinosaure looks like mecagodzilla with no iron

  • I'm starting to think with all the people complaining about CGI that movies down the road will have more old school special effects personally i think there should be a mixture of both the oldschool ways and the new I think it would end up making things look far more realistic ,but then again I think people nowadays can't suspend their disbelief enough and just enjoy the movies.

  • I'm glad I'm not the only one, James. CGI is way over used and unrealistic. In fact, it's almost always total fucking shit.

Give me minatures, stop motion and paper-mache-bats-on-strings anyday.

  • @KCwellard

i dont get his comparison tho, transformers isnt suppose to be realistic in the 1st place, infact the transformers basically should be moving like that or else it wouldnt be the transformers

  • I get the feeling James just doesn't like anything digital, whether it's good or bad.

  • @FireSpirit117 Nah. I remember him saying that District 9 was an awesome movie, and that movie has a whole bunch of CG aliens.

  • lol at how he says "buried"

  • I can't imagine there are that many good scenes involving robots considering James had to reuse the same scenes multiple times for this review.

  • I know what James means when he says robots aren't "robotic" anymore like they used to be. But in Transformers' defense, they're supposed to be "Mechanical Organisms", not necessarily robots. Creators these days are always looking for a game changer, to be on the cutting edge. But in doing so, we've lost a lot of the spirit that made entertainment what is is today. The idea of the robot really depends on the opinions of the viewer, for example, I think Justin Bieber is a robot, you may not.

  • MIYAGI !!!

  • Apparently in the future people still use 14" Sony CRT TVs...

  • ROBOT JOCKS!

  • Simu- BOOOOOM!!!

  • Robot wars was an awesome tv show. Craig Charles is an awesome presenter and actor.

  • @halfpintgamescast Yes, he is. Ya' know that Jeremy Clarkson hosted the first series.

  • @spongebot64 Really? I didn't know that Jeremy Clarkson hosted Robot Wars! I love watching top gear.

  • @halfpintgamescast Yeah, he may be good on Top Gear, but not that good on Robot Wars. He didn't seem to show much of an understanding to the sport of robotic combat. Anyway, you can find uploads of all the episodes from Series 1 to Extreme 2 on BBCRobotwarsUK. Series 7 isn't on that channel because it was broadcast on Five.

  • I love the way James says buried lol

  • "It's a simulation test."

    SIMULATION MY ASS!!!!!!!!!

  • "Pile of Crap" Man you've gotten soft I WANT MORE FUKIN SWEARING.

  • @FanPortal2 I think Robo Gladiators was the American equivalent, or something.

  • I want a battletech/mechwarrior movie...

  • I recommand Robot Jox if anyone want to see those movies too.
