I got my belly button pierced like a month ago and there's like this little bump with this white stuff in it formed around the upper ball of the piercing. My pierced said it's normal at times and I can use stuff like sea water to make it go away. Can I use like an antibiotic cream on it ?

@PolishBabyCakes This is normal when you are pierced. You are suppose to wash a piercing with seasalt water or soap daily the first months until your piercing is healed.

You probably want to make sure whatever she uses is sterilized. Unless she's a proffesional piercer then I wouldn't trust her. A bunch of people do piercings themselves and just because they've done it doesn't mean they aren't going to fuck up. My friend had one of her good friends pierce her belly button and the girl ended up putting a hole in one of her organs.

There wasn't really any swelling, it was just red, and it bled a little sometimes. You've got to wash it when you wake up, and before you go to sleep, and you can't go swimming for a few weeks. Also, if you try to run, you'll get really dizzy. =P

u guys don't get it. it's not that ppl want to hide it. i'm in college and i have my belly pierced, and i use the retainer because i'm on the dance team for my school. when i tried out i was giving instructions and requirements that i had to follow or else i couldn't be on the team. my belly couldn't be pierced or anything. why? because we wear uniforms that show our stomach and that would look ghetto if i have belly pierced and my team mates don't. same rule applies to ppl who play sports.
