  • WHAT A GREAT SONG !

  • It's so sad he only made it halfway through... He died at age 32.

  • Happy B-day Keith!

  • Happy 64th birthday, Keith.

  • you made it half way there dear boy :]

  • He hope he died before he get old.

  • Beatles wooot

  • He would have been 64 this year, in August

  • keith went to a pyscologist and discribed his behavior to her. She responded, "you dont need me, you need Jesus Christ!" I believe this as in 2000 I was healed by the biblical God of alcoholism.

Keith had many problems, probably was a bipolar. I love him and its a shame. His addictions were too overpowering. sad stuff

  • AA founder Bill Wilson experimented LSD in the 50s (under supervision of Aldous Huxley) as a means of attaining and maintaining sobriety.

    It worked.

  • Fuck Neil Peart? well if you base it on technicality then yes Neil peart is the best drummer of all time because hes a *percussionist* and incorporates many styles and uses a shit ton of equipment at a time - on stage even, so if you mean by skills then yeah Neil is "better" but these are different styles and theres no way Peart could rock a The Who song any more than Moon could a Rush one.

  • He seems hyperactive. Was he ever diagnosed as ADHD?

  • well many people supposed that too but no, he wasn't diagnosed

  • No but he took 20 pills a day...and not the legal ones.

  • There is no such thing as ADHD dumbass.

  • lol ! amazing

  • LOL!! "was that tokyo rose?" what, was he referring to keith moon?

  • lol, oh you think so? Keith would have been just like Angus Young, still snorting a line of coke before he goes on stage, and delivering the show of his life every night, Keith would have never burned out

  • The difference between Keth and Ang is that Angus only drank tea and smoked ciggies. Likely why Angus Young is still alive and Keith isn't.

  • Comment removed

  • "Angus Young has never snorted cocaine. This is his secret. This is why he is not scared of ridicule."

    -Hamish MacBain

Care to make your point again citing some kind of proof, Rodney?

  • Haha, sorry, Angus has done "cocaine" the song, but not the drug... misunderstanding, but I watch him run around on stage, kicking and spinning himself on the ground like a mad man... and couldn't help but think he might be on coke... my fault... but Angus didn't just drink tea... i do know that much

  • Well, we've taken you half way to admitting that you don't know what the fuck your talking about, let's go the rest of the way, shall we? The Angus Young that I know, and have worked for on 8 different tours over the last 20 years, enjoys, gardening, Gibson SG's, good tea, his wife, and cigarettes. I've never seen the man drink an alcoholic beverage, probably becasue alcohol killed his good friend Bon Scott in the prime of his life. A Young is clean, and always has been.

  • In fact, an alcoholic, or hard core drug user, wouldn't be able to do what Young is still able to do onstage. The subject of this video, Keith Moon, is evidence of that fact. At the age of 30, after a decade of alcohol and drug abuse, Moon could not perform half as well as he could at 20.

  • I'm gonna have to call bull shit right there, It's true that drugs and alcohol stunned his playing ability, and it took Keith some time to learn to play like his old self, but he did, and towards the end of his life he was back to delivering mind blowing performances

  • Call bullshit all you want, watch Moon's performances from when he was 29 and 30, utter shit. The man lived to the age of 32 and did improve in the last couple of years, I never said that he didn't. Don't go grasping at non existant straws simply because I made you look foolish, Rodney.

  • No, I realize that I did screw up and was wrong, but I'm not trying to cover up anything, and I don't think you made me look foolish, I think you cleared things up, the fact is I worship Keith, I use to despise his cockiness, but I watched the man, and I've probably seen just about every live video of the who, including bootlegs a lot of bootlegs, and I recognize Keith for his pure talent, and the man he could have been today.

  • Now I'm confused, go back to your original comment and read it, okay? Why would you wish the demons on the man in older life, that killed him in younger life, if you worship the man? You must know that Moon the Loon was only one aspect of his personality? Moon the abusive, addictive, alcoholic fuck, was not a good guy, and was the persona that he was trying to get rid of when he died? I wish Keefer were still here too, but a sober Keef.

  • Yeah, that's true, I was just trying to prove that even if he were still using drugs he'd be able to deliver an amazing performance, I'm not wishing demons on anybody, I'd take Keith back in any form, but in my heart I truly believe he would have cleaned up. Keith Moon was not a bad person, he acted out, but he always apologized (well maybe no to the hotel managers) and he was a great friend to many people, especially Ringo Starr and Paul McCartney.

  • Gettysboig, ? oh Gettysboig. boy dat wass a Woh. LOL Brooklyn. where i live. WE brooklynites.

  • Well, just think people. Keith Moon would be an aged rock star with no hair and no energy, living a average life at the age of 61. A faded old ex rock star who nobody gives a damn about anymore.

Or he could be forever 32, an original who lived life to the fullest.

    He was beyond average.

  • thats true but i suppose for some people its hard for them when they get into the who and realize the person they like the best has been dead for so many years, maybe even longer than theyve been alive? thats the way i feel cos the ox is my favorite and i seen them in concert after hed passed... i see wot you mean tho cos keefs a leeeeegend and i guess its nicer to perserve him at half the age than perhaps doddering

  • @ilovefreedom80.

It's very hard to read how people can despite old persons around them. Old peoples with less hair or energy should be unusefull, and nothing to learn from them ? Is this the "I'm free" new world the who claimed for ? I'm not sure.

  • I'm 42, and I take care of my 85 year old grandmother who HATES being OLD! I see how she suffers just getting up from a chair and has to wear diapers because she can't control her plumbing anymore.

I don't hate old people at all! I meant that I think Keith NEVER wanted to get old it must of scared him.

Who knows, I just kinda know how he must of felt when he had to clean up his act and knew he couldn't drum like he was 18 anymore.

  • Keith is my favorite drummer of all time, but the thing is there is no playing like your 18, you get better and better, but keith moved to california and started taking too many downers. its bullshit to see his drum performance affected. it should make every musician want to say "FUCK DRUGS"

P.S. keith is the best, FUCK NEIL PEART

  • yeah thats right!..you can only imagine keith moon and john bonham in there youthful state And yet they will be remembered forever.

  • I don't think a drummer like him could ever be forgotten, even if he lost his energy. There's no telling though, there were tons of musicians with drug habits just as bad as him who cleaned up there acts, in fact the drugs Keith accidentally overdosed on were pills meant to curb his alcoholism... It's sad, but tell ourselves these things to cope with losing a true legend...

  • yeh, still good tho

  • nice, gud old moony, i missed the show a few days ago, damn thing was on at 2.45am

  • LOL! This brings back memories. I first saw this movie when I was in the Navy. My ship, a guided missile destroyer, had just picked up a bunch of cadets from the Japanese Naval Academy at Eta Jima that afternoon. And THIS was the movie the decided to show aboard ship that night. The Captain hit the roof! LOL! I can still see images of Japanese plane dropping torpedoes at Pearl Harbor to the tune of I am the Walrus. I am the eggman (dropping tordepo in the film) LOL!

  • is there a full version of this stuff? Where can a see it?

  • Hell if I know. I don't know if it was even released on video.
