yeah. considering he pawns other professionals when he was only aged 12. now hes like older..you'd expect him to be somehow a professional of the professionals. and wa lah, there he is.
haha it really seemed as though it was fast forwarded. his speed is incredible...
i don't know how people think he was so damn good at 12..i personally think he sucked at 12. people just gave him way more credit than he deserved because he was so young. but now that little tony is all grown up...goddamn he's amazing. clearly at a peak. he will be a legend forever.
all the people who think this is boring probably like the stupid stuff where people jus play nothin but double bass and hit different drums at really fast speeds. yea that's cool but when u have seen one guy do it u have seen it all.
i dunt think it was sped up he was crazy fast at 12 years old and through out time u just get better so thts probably his skill. wat a awesome drummer
watch at 4:02-4:04 his body like skips, he is really good and he may be going that fast but you can tell it was like sped up. oorr the videos went out of time or something, cuz i dont doubt his skills.
Thats the first time a Tony Royster solo hasn't bugged the shit outta me. Sounds like he's finally grown up. As for his 'being better a few years ago', thats bollocks. A few years ago, his playing was almost masturbatory. This one is sweet. And not sped up. You don't grow up with Dennis Chambers as a mentor and need speeding up; its slowing him down thats the problem.
the end of that is sooooooo fake u ca see that its been speeded up beacause his head is moving unaturally fast lol.... good drummer but totally fake near the end shame
I ddn't find this too exciting. Technically, fantastic. Artisticly, boring. I thought his video at the age of 12 had more interesting rifs and catchy beats. Drums should either be enahcing music, or carry enough rhythm and beat to stand alone.
I think the only time i have ever seen a faster bass hits was at the extreme drummin competition when Tim Waterson broke the world record with 1407 bass hits in one minute
exactly man, this solo of his here has great control and technicality in it. the one he did when he was seven was just chops and crazy shit(which was awsome) but here his matured and values playing with awsome dymnamics and techniacal skills all with feel! i wish i was as good as him
hes showing off with that single pedal lol. U cant tell its uncormfortable for him to play the single pedal that fast cuz he would lean forward every time he did. Still dudes got talent. I think hes much better now than he was when he was twelve. His control is out of this world. The dude is fucking sick.
yeah exactly, non drummers cant realize how much great control and skill he has, i mean jus watch the intro with those dynamics and then with his insane right foot speed; it seems like many people are jealous to be honest
I dont think that non drummers knows how difficult that is to do...All I can say at his age he is well beyond may pros that have been doing it twice as long. When I say non drummer I mean only the ones who wish they could do what he is doing but cant and they hate on him because of obvious reasons. Tony is the man!
You idiots do realize that what he is doing is extremely hard right? He isn't using double kick in those beats. Thats all one foot going fast as fuck. Don't be ignorant.
If you watch him now he doesn't look THAT good, because there are Billy Cobham, Dennis Chambers, Mike Portnoy, Virgil Donati... But if you look what he did when he had just 11/12 years old, now that's when you realize he's not just any drummer.
This is my favorite solo, period!
