@arklat - Oh yeah... muttonchops, sideburns and a cool weave were the order of the day back then. They didn't look like the emaciated, .25% body fat specimens you see in bike racing today.
As i also commented in Part 2 of this video, these guys knew how to EAT on the road, too. Real food, a lot of it, and plenty of refreshments to wash it down with.
It was hard, it was tough, but I enjoy watching it NOW !

They were just bigger, stockier guys back then.
