why is a vid of a fucked turbo causing an uproar? the turbo is fucked, if the bearings are shagged then you CAN replace them, if they are collapesed then the shaft, compressor wheel and housing and possibly the turbine and bearings ect.. will need replacing.. i.e just get a new turbo or in this guys case just upgrade the damn thing.

How would i buy a t3t4 hybrid turbo shaft ? kind of stupid but i didnt remember that the threads on turbos are reverse thread so when i thought i was loosening it i just thought it was tight so i kinda puled harder and then i broke the end of the shaft. so now i have a turbo thats basically just laying on my floor cuz i cant seem to find anyone online for sale... wtf..

Yea I was running a chip with no boost controller and boosted 30 psi and blew the turbo...These turbos' will only sustain up 18 psi

i was on a test time working at a skoda for a half a year, and i could immediately recongnize this turbo as a vw turbo (skoda, vw, audi, seat have virtually the same engines) there were 8 working spaces in that shop( just to let you know) and in that 6 month period, i saw maybe 4 or 5 of these blown turbos there. so this turbo is surprisingly weak. i think this is for a 1.6 litre diesel? so an engine that small doesn't really need a big turbo.
