  • Megaton as the ref ... to be so lucky!

  • Sim Go, what a cool name...

  • This is why I don't do Gi. those moves are less effective unless you know how to work from the clinch. Good match

  • @PaperNun what does the gi have to do with the clinch?

  • @carlsongracieteam Nothing and thats really the point. There's no gi in No-Gi grappling so you have to know how to work from the clinch. Which is why I study 10thPlanet.

  • @PaperNun both of these guys train in the gi, and 10th planet doesn't work from the clinch as well, i think your talking about judo, wrestling, grecco.

  • @carlsongracieteam ...I think you need to look at 10th-Planet again.

"My whole game is clinching" "10th Planet? I'd say its like Grecco wrestling and Jiu Jitsu"

    - Grand Master, Eddie Bravo

  • @PaperNun huh? i think your getting the clinch and guard mixed up the clinch is where both guys are standing and engage, underhooks and whizzers are often used, throws and takedowns often occur from their. eddie works with a high guard and some different positions from side control.

  • @carlsongracieteam No I'm NOT confused. I am a I0thPlanet student. We clinch from guard and yes we have techniques that are all about moving in the clinch. "rubber Guard". Also unlike the people you see in this video, we BATTLE for over and underhooks.

I invite you to study up more on our system. Please visit out website 10thplanetjj or Submissions101's channel.

  • @PaperNun these guys know how to work fro the guard, im confused are you talking about the guard or the clinch their two positions entirely.

  • @carlsongracieteam no they're not. You can be clinched in the guard and clinch standing up.

  • @carlsongracieteam

Clinching is controlling your opponent with over-under, double under, collar tie, etc.

There isn't much clinching in a Gi, most of the control comes from grips. In No Gi, your control comes more from the clinch due to the absence of clothing to grab.

10th Planet works with the clinch, obviously, because it's no gi. I don't see the significance though, because ALL gi-less grappling works heavily with the clinch. You have no choice, lol.

  • Gotta love Robson, but Sim was hitting some sick deep half stuff too..

  • Moura is a beast! Total domination.

  • is megaton the referee?

  • what was that deep half guard sweep robson did at the beginning?

  • pull down heel and pass. sick counter to omaplata

  • ok Guard Passing: Remove the head lock with your hands, don't just pull your head back. When you posture up, twist your body to the side- if you don't he will just pull you back into his guard. Twist your body, and lean back, just push his legs right off you. You have a good half guard pass with the hooks. But your side guard has no knees to the body. that's why he keeps putting you back in half guard. Both Knees to the body -tight. okay good luck guy~

  • @gkornegay lol are you telling this to Robson?

  • @gkornegay haha, you gotta be kidding me!!

  • great match

  • Both these guys are amazing grapplers. Robson Moura is just on a whole different level from most black belts his size. Awesome match- great pressure and timing from Robson and excellent deep half and guard recovery from Sim

  • I train with Robson inTampa and he is amazing.

Sim was doing a great job with the deep half guard.

    Great match

  • that was a badass match

  • screw u randall he's our cousin

  • Sim go is my cousin!!

  • Yeah right faggot. Sim go is NOT your cousin. Pssh wanna be.

  • Sim Go is my hero.

  • sikk leg work at 1:01

  • That was an awesome match. I've never seen that sweep at 1:15 before.

  • Search "Old School Sweep"

  • more like a plan B.

  • Neither.

  • Robson is one of my top BJJ idols along with Gustavo Dantas, Eddie Bravo, the Gracies and Machados, and Marcello Garcia. Robson is a personification of what BJJ is truly about.

  • you speak true words my brother, im a nova uniao member under Robson, and i am very proud my jiu jitsu comes from him

  • sweet. i've met roboson 3 times when i trained at az combat sports under gustavo dantas when i lived in az. i've seen robson roll with guys virtually 4 times his size and made them tap with ease.

  • Robson's no-gi game is highly underrated. He's a finisher.

  • nice attempt to take the back at 3:23. very nice move. im gunna start using it :)

  • Good fight here. Both guys are awesome.

  • Robson has an amazing game that was an impressive display against such a good player as Sim Go.

  • you should smell my farts, they're like a horrible nightmare of smell

  • I own the Robson Moura dvd and let me tell you that Mr. Moura is one of the rising stars in the BJJ business. I practice judo but integrate some of the BJJ in my Ne Waza fights. Great fight!!

  • Why not just crosstrain at a BJJ school? I apologize if I come across as condescending; I don't mean to.

  • I have no problem with that. By the way, I;m thinking about crossing judo with jiujitsu. In my Dojo we practice a lot of throws and good time on the floor but with little technique involved. I also bought the Dave Camarillo book who is really good.

  • That is funny that you want to do BJJ.I'm a BBJ guy myself and I started practicing Judo about two month ago with a judo blackbelt to improve my takedowns, throws and leg game from the standing position. Judo is great,I wish I started when I was a little kid but instead did kyokushin karate for all these years,I dont regret it though.

  • That's great that you've taken your first step into judo. You will learn a lot and you will feel more secure about your throwing techniques. I hope you are improving in your game.

  • Sim GO HOME!!

  • go steve

  • it was awesome watching that fight live

  • That was a dope video, some cool attempts from sim, and a very tight game from Robson. Thanks for posting!

  • very nice sweep at the 1:15 mark. looks like he just underhooked the leg and proceeded to upa or something lol.

  • very glovery

  • wtf was that sweep at 1:15
