@MaximusCerberus Um... My windows 7 rig runs Crysis with everything maxed at 1920x1200 resolution and gets 53 FPS. That isn't great, but for Crysis its spectacular. Also, I built my machine for under 1500 bucks, which is probably a third what THIS clown's cost.

MAC osx is built on an extremely stable linux core, having no registry is it's main reason it can't get viruses to the same extent a computer can. That's not to say it's flawless though, worms can wreak havoc on a mac, and safari has a massive security hole in it. But after being a 100% windows supporter and actually giving mac a shot changed my opinion.
@SuperInfective Although they might be "built around" the linux core, the developers still managed to create an ungodly abomination. Yes, windows CAN crash, but Mac crashes by itself. Without provocation. And when it does, it can't be fixed without losing everything. With windows there's always a way, that's why it's so superior. Mac is a dumbed-down OS for idiots, so it doesn't HAVE any of the tools that windows does. Bottom line is Windows 7 never crashes, and if it does, it's easily fixed.

With windows, if something something stops working you can easily fix it, and make sure it never happens again. When OSX crashes, there often times isn't a reason, therefore no way to troubleshoot. Bottom line is windows 7 almost never crashes, and when it does it's a simple fix. With Mac, there is no fix besides "get a REAL OS"!

@MaximusCerberus Um... My windows 7 rig runs Crysis with everything maxed at 1920x1200 resolution and gets 53 FPS. That isn't great, but for Crysis its spectacular. Also, I built my machine for under 1500 bucks, which is probably a third what THIS clown's cost.

@rocketman9000 Oh not a threat. Just bringing up the point of windows instability and vulnerability. MAC osx is built on an extremely stable linux core, having no registry is it's main reason it can't get viruses to the same extent a computer can. That's not to say it's flawless though, worms can wreak havoc on a mac, and safari has a massive security hole in it. But after being a 100% windows supporter and actually giving mac a shot changed my opinion.

@SuperInfective Although they might be "built around" the linux core, the developers still managed to create an ungodly abomination. Yes, windows CAN crash, but Mac crashes by itself. Without provocation. And when it does, it can't be fixed without losing everything. With windows there's always a way, that's why it's so superior. Mac is a dumbed-down OS for idiots, so it doesn't HAVE any of the tools that windows does. Bottom line is Windows 7 never crashes, and if it does, it's easily fixed.

"built around" Linux, but that doesn't mean it works like it. In reality, Mac OSX crashes far more often than windows, and usually without provocation. With windows, if something something stops working you can easily fix it, and make sure it never happens again. When OSX crashes, there often times isn't a reason, therefore no way to troubleshoot. Bottom line is windows 7 almost never crashes, and when it does it's a simple fix. With Mac, there is no fix besides "get a REAL OS"!

Linux being before that, but that's because i would alter the settings. From a complex computer user to (what i assume is) another complex user, believe me when i say this OS is not at all dumbed down. Windows on the other hand, i have a great abundance of horror stories regarding hardware problems, blue-screens, and memory errors.

Call of Duty 4 is about 3/4 LESS graphically intensive than the CryTek engine used in Crysis!! And they couldn't crack 30 FPS???

........at medium settings with no anti-aliasing and about 20-30 FPS.
Meanwhile, my ASUS G71-GX can play the game on High settings with x4 antialiasing and achieve 45-50 FPS.
Just being able to play a game on a Mac doesn't mean it's worthwhile. Crysis won't even run on Enthusiast settings with two Quad-linked GTX 295s. And you think your little Mac is going to compare???

Hey, if you want to run Crysis on a Mac at absolute SHIT settings just to say that you can, then be my guest.
Any real gaming enthusiast will do one of two things.
1) thumb their nose, roll their eyes and ignore you
2) laugh hysterically on the ground and risk a trip to the emergency room because of a ruptured spleen.
The point is, Macs may be capable of doing SOME of the things a PC can do..........at half the performance, and 20%-40% MORE cost.

Oh well, at least PCs can play games, and they're about $1,000 less than a Mac, with equivalent (Usually better on the PC side) hardware, and usually without too much bloatware, but have fun switching between screens.
