Palpatine was playing dejarik (chess) against the galaxy. Like a chess player, he was a force modifying the battlefield from above. This time, however, it's as if he was playing the game alone, controlling both black and white. There was no real opponent, no competition. The enemy was too weak & too late to realize the deception. This is what makes Palpatine the most dangerous Sith Lord to ever exist. Not even Darth Nihilus' "hunger" can match his cunning. He lost only to the will of the Force.
Palps kills 3 Jedi Masters in FIVE seconds and toys with Windu with the blade at Windu's throat laughing at him (Jedi lovers think Windu won, but fail to recognize common sense)....The Jedi never could detect Palpatine and he is the strongest Force user EVER. Think that maybe Palps waited for Anakin to kill Windu?! Scars from the Force Lightning, hmmm....all Sith look pale like that in Lucas comics or games (big money).
It's one thing to dominate a galaxy by force, a feat impressive in and of itself. It's a whole new ball game when you're the head of two drastically powerful warring factions, manipulating both sides with ease and knowing the Sentient mind like the back of your hand to come out on top no matter which side wins or loses. Then having enough time on the side to be so much of an asshole as to sit in an opera and turn the universe's one possible saving grace into his little bitch? Palpy's the best.

Palpatine was ALWAYS deformed. He used Sith Alchemy and the Force to create a FORCE MASK. Using the Force Lightning at all would remove it, even if it hadn't hit him.
I dont like the expanded Star Wars Universe. He died at the hands of Anakin in ROTJ. I think continiuing the story is ok but....jesus......that he cant die....No than they should just have created a new sith lord. Also names like Ben Skywaler and Anakin Solo are fucked up. I liked him as Chancellor Palpatine but i dont like the Emperor. Why did he get deformed in the fight with Mace Windu? I mean they could use that he was just very old. Or he shouldnt atleast been fat

Luke named his son Ben to honor Obi-Wan and Leia and Han named their kid Anakin to honor Anakin Skywalker. And his face got deformed because he stored all that dark side energy in him for years and Mace Windu deflected the lightning back in his face.

Palpatine, possessing knowledge of the Dark Side and powers unknown, was able to very cleverly disguise his true form. When Windu deflected back the Force Lightning, it appeared to Anakin that this was destroying him, when really, Palpatine was just revealing his true form.
I think we can all learn from Sidious, by asking BW to lower the amount of time We'll use while casting Force Lightning... or atleast always stand far enough away from a large duct, when casting it...

He didn't need to manipulate. He did so as a second nature and also, I would venture he could easily best Sidious in saber combat since newer Sith Lords placed less importance on the art of dueling. Sidious is powerful but Revan is as well.

I think the title of the song playing should be in the title of the movie vs. The Emperor. I enjoyed your video very much, but feel the title suggests more of a storyline progression than a cool Palpatine montage set to FF music.

I'm guessing visions of the future aren't that specific. For example, the Jedi prophecy is that the Chosen One will bring balance to the Force. Not "This kid on Tattooine will become a Jedi, and then betray the Jedi, then become Darth Vader and redeem himself by saving his son and destroying the Emperor."
Probably all Sidious foresaw was Luke having the potential to destroy him, and also his compassion for his father.
Emperor Palpatine is like wesker from resident evil. Cunning worked his way up and manipulated an entire war just to get what he wanted. Nothing better than an a pure evil person like that to do anything to get what he wants. Thats my kind of bad guy.

The Final Fantasy series has always had memorable themes and music - this one was a real stand-out among video games for its time. Sounds dated now, with the MIDI and all, but it's still awesome. And suits the Sith very well!

Its the last battle in FF7. Against a winged form of Sephiroth called Safer Sephiroth if I recall correctly. Epic battle I might add! To easy but epic! As epic as the theme. By the way, there are many orchestrated versions of it. I recommend listening to them here on youtube!:-)
The differences in Palpatine's split personalities are rather odd. Most of the series he sits on the fence somewhere between loving father figure and malevolent puppy eating villian.

Palpatine is in a word: A mastermind. As much as I hate to admit it, his was a cunning plan. He manipulated two major Galactic conflicts, built up a powerbase off the fears of the people. Hell, even made himself Emperor with the people cheering and applauding!
I agree and not only was he a mastermind, what elevated him to the next level was that he was someone who was not afraid to take risks, an entrepreneur of sorts.
Think about it...
He had the clone troopers in place ready to execute order 66 and yet he still took a gamble on Anakin betraying the jedi he could have just had him wiped out with the rest of them and found a different apprentice but he didn't, he took a risk, aimed high and it paid off.
well if some one now hue kyle is. he is a jedi master and he can use force lightning. and to repet what he said it exist no dark force powers or light force powers. it depends on how you use them.
i dosent really se why people say dark force stuff and light force stuff. i mean that for exampel lightning do you have to use the dark side to use it? dosent it really depends onn how your using it if its the dark side or the light side?
In the books it tells us that to use force lightning you have to blind yourself with hate and anger and a want to cause inhuman pain and suffering to whatever you use the lightning against.

The ROTS novel says that the Sith can never achieve immortality or anything of that sort because they had the entire philosophy regarding the Force wrong
All six films are really about him. Star Wars is merely the tale of the superman cutting his way through excess humanity, and I guess aliens. Probably the most spiritual and holy figure in star wars--a representation of ideal humanity.

Its the last battle in FF7. Against a winged form of Sephiroth called Safer Sephiroth if I recall correctly. Epic battle I might add! To easy but epic! As epic as the theme. By the way, there are many orchestrated versions of it. I recommend listening to them here on youtube!:-)

The differences in Palpatine's split personalities are rather odd. Most of the series he sits on the fence somewhere between loving father figure and malevolent puppy eating villian.

Palpatine is in a word: A mastermind. As much as I hate to admit it, his was a cunning plan. He manipulated two major Galactic conflicts, built up a powerbase off the fears of the people. Hell, even made himself Emperor with the people cheering and applauding!

I agree and not only was he a mastermind, what elevated him to the next level was that he was someone who was not afraid to take risks, an entrepreneur of sorts.
Think about it...
He had the clone troopers in place ready to execute order 66 and yet he still took a gamble on Anakin betraying the jedi he could have just had him wiped out with the rest of them and found a different apprentice but he didn't, he took a risk, aimed high and it paid off.

All six films are really about him. Star Wars is merely the tale of the superman cutting his way through excess humanity, and I guess aliens. Probably the most spiritual and holy figure in star wars--a representation of ideal humanity.
