cowboys trails went fron the Cattle drives in the west plains , to the Fields in Fracnce and on into the fields of WW2 and Bombers of WW 2 giving you your freedoms today to celebrate (maybe ) new cowboy heroes but so far I ain't hearing them

This great song was written by the legendary Ed Bruce. Ed has the best recording of this song. The Highwaymen sang it fine, but Ed did it best. This is a great video rendition. Enjoyed it.
