I still have this movie on VHS when I bought it years ago. I haven't watched it in some time but yes, I remember them looking like big turtles with tentacles. I was 12 when this movie came out and it freaked me out pretty good.
I saw this when I was 5 and loved it....they are less like turtles and more like octopuses. They have 4 extremely long tentacles with hooks on the end...and they have 2 eyes and mouths with rows of razor sharp teeth, like a human head...They are actually not very large and more the size of a medium dog but really powerful.
Yes you do, they don`t look too hot to say the least, but the tension etc in the film more than makes up for this. Can`t wait till this gets a proper dvd release.
this movie scared the sh^t out of me as a kid...

I remember this movie scaring the Hell outta me when I was 8 years old. In retrospect, it's a bit hokey -but fun.
