Funny that the show was on the air on September 11th 1971, exactly 30 years before the terrorist attack in New York. I say funny because he was a New Yorker resident and loved the city.

i just watched bowie saying about not playing when he's 60 and an interview where Jagger says he will retire by the time he's 30 as he will be 'to old to rock and roll'..hearing john talking about the Beatles not playing certain songs when they are 50..it's all very strange in retrospect..it shows how life takes some strange turns

The best thing The Beatles ever did is breakup and never get back together and tour again. Lots of bands from the 60's and 70's eras drag on way too long. Bands like the Beach Boys and Chicago who were awesome bands in their heyday are just a complete embarrassment nowadays.
