My son came by to see me last night, ( thank you ). He told me he is going to sing this when it comes time for me to pass-on. Gave me the song title to look up and listen to. He said " I remember every other weekend you coming to pick me up and now understand how hard it must have been for you, I love you dad ". i love this song so much because it reminds me so much of my dad. my dad dont live with me i dont know why all i know is that he left i still get to see him but not as much as i want to. he has always tried his best to stay in touch i know that but it still hurts to know he's not around. i miss him so much.Daddy i love you so much i wish you could come back to me so much. it would be a lot different but i would have you love you daddy.

This song reminds me of my best friend. I live in Virginia and she lived in Ohio. the drive to her house is 3 hours. I only got to see her once every 2 months at her family dinner. This song so special to so many people out there. I, like many other young men, lived with my mother after my parents seperated. My dad would drive 2 hours every other weekend to come and pick up myself and my other siblings. After listening to this song it makes me really think about what he probably thought about all those miles for so many years.

Reminds me of when my dad use to come and get me every other weekend its SOOO true between me and him. It took a couple hours to get back to his place and i tried to stay awake the whole ride just to talk with him and i would always fall asleep and i would get soo mad LOL!!! such an amazing song. Think everyone parent who lives apart from their child can connect with this song. Myself and my sons mother have been split for nearly 6 yrs and i see him 5 days a week. this song makes me cry every time i hear it. my dad lives in arizona and i live in delaware with my mom. he is a chef so his job takes up the majority of his time and he works on nearly every holiday. but he still will fly across the country, sometimes even for only 2 or 3 days, to see me and my sister as much as he can. i guess sometimes its a long drivem and sometimes its a flight across the country, but a good father will do whatever it takes.

This song reminds me so much of me picking up my daughter when she was 5 years old and living in Alabama and me living in Georgia.I would pick her up every other weekend and it would take 5 hours round trip.Get her on Friday and take her back on Sunday.................was a long ride but she was worth it...I LOVE YOU TAYLOR!!
