im about to buy the Thrustmaster T.Flight Stick X Joystick. its to hard to fly with a mouse. is there going to be any issues with controls an what not?
hey im thinking of either buying a Logitech Attack 3 Joystic or the xbox controller for windows, which one will be better for flying the jets in bf2 and bf3?
@ravyHD : sorry I'm half awake I hit the thumbs down button instead of the thumbs up button. You may have a problem mapping the throttle slider and the yaw controls if you can twist it to provide yaw. And the console controller button mapping is pretty retarded, although I'm sure you could probably tweak it to your liking I figure it would probably be more work than reward. In the end may still feel like you're borderline console gaming and pc gaming. Joystick all the way.
@om1kron Yeah i never had an xbox (i play only on pc since 2002) so i dont even know how the controller feels, but i know that its cheaper and i can use it with some other games like GTA, sports games (keyboard just doesnt work with sports games). thanks for the info, if ill find a cheaper joystick ill buy it, my budget is very low since i just upgraded my pc for bf3 :D
@ravyHD : Apologies for the late reply, I actually switched to a Thrustmaster T-Flight Hotas X which cost about 49. dollars The throttle on it is kind of cheap, the cool thing is you can use the joystick on your ps3. But I think games like ace combat don't support joysticks so I dunno how well that will work out.
The Thrustmaster has a nice stiffer feel to it, the deadzones on it are decent enough to where I haven't felt the need to modify the games preset deadzones.
The turbulence is due to lag. Your plane "skips" through the air and the game thinks it's a sharp change of movement/direction, thus shaking your screen.
I've heard alot of people have been having joystick BF3, was tentative to bring out my x52. See this and i'm excited. I sure hope I can get mine working. Did you have any trouble getting it working?

@om1kron No problem. Until they optimize the servers, a good hoster is the only cure.

@om1kron You mean you can map the joystick controls in the game itself? Not with the software the saitek comes with??
