Just ordered a Tippman 98 Custom platinum, I cant wait for it to come, its my first gun and I cant wait for it to come, ive done paintball for a while and cant wait for me to be able to customise and maintain my own gun :)

Can you install this on a carver one the same way by removing the end cap? I bought this one for 17$ and I heard you can fit it...and I don't want to buy the 50$ one just so it can fit the end cap?

When i bought mine I had to drill the hole larger to fit correctly in my platinum, and use vise grips to force it down in place.

@videogames73: This appears to be true. I'm sitting here half-panicking because I can't get my marker to reassemble. I have the 98 Custom Pro w/ACT, and it appears to be to big for the marker. Did you ever get it to fit? If so, what did you do differently?

@powrfwd37 alright brother, chill, i know exactly what is wrong, there is a defomation that is in the stock, so its basically useless for the gun to fit, now what you have to do it either go to your local paintball store I.E. army navy and ask them to fix it, send it back to tippmann, the warentee is unlimited, all you have to do is probubly pay a small fee, or you can just fix it by yourself, if your missing anything, just buy the extra parts kit. im planning on modding it by sanding the deform

@videogames73 if i were you, i would find the box or look up online how the gun looks with its internals and just put it back in the way it looks

The only disadvantage on having a stock is, that you can't aim with the marker anymore! Except if you have a really skintight mask.

@Colby1095 there are a couple springs next to the trigger assebly, like under the bolt tht pop out on me alot wen i take my 98 apart.

yeah i was board one day so i just took mine apart to learn how to and then put it back togeather and i have a 98 pro platinume with e-trigger and stuff kinda flew every where but after i found every thing i put it back fine so yeah i could do that in about 30 seconds too but i want to get the 2nd one at the end after the ak that stockbut airthrough so it might be a little harder. still probably wont need a video but i bet some people watched this to make sure they did it right.

my stock keeps on flipping, like it'll stay in the gun, but the whole thing can revolve.

You'll need to tighten the two screws closest to the stock.

@rap4com I have an ak47 stock on my tipmann 98 custom but it keeps flipping wether i tighten it or not

because only one ring can fit inside a metal piece is blocking the other

You'd be suprise how many do not know how to actually take apart their 98 to install and mount anything.

And likeyou said, it took you 30 seconds, same here, didnt need any written or video instructions on how to install a stock on my 98, ABT and A5.

With a lack of audio instruction you should cut the background audio out and either leave it silent or replace with music or something. An Alternative would be cut the audio out of the initial footage and add in a voice over copy of the instruction to cover all the bases.
