the Unreal Tournament Series came out before Gears of war and came before Halo and before X-box it was pure pc gameing. plus you cant say its a rip off cause there the same company that makes both games! both are good games but UT3 is vastly superior :)

Man I miss the days when Epic Games made the Unreal series. Now they just focus on selling their engine and gears of war. Gears wasn't even high in their expectations list back in 07, they really had only made it to showcase the unreal III engine and to keep fans busy while UTIII was done. Now it seems kids think that Gears is the top game and 'Tournament' is just a side show. Back in 99 the servers were crazy with UT & Quake & CS. none of this COD shit.

But it's a good thing stuff like WON2 and servers for UT99 exist, now i can sit down on the pc once a night, log on to these servers, and pretend i'm in 99 all over again.
