@Hoschi0913 deadliest warrior is a joke both are tried and tested nobody knows and the forces themselves respect eachother if nothing more then for their perceived capability.I like a lot about how the russians train but american sf have at least as much experience as any group in the world so that helps off set any potential problems with training which I think is good anyway.I might give spetsnaz a slight edge just cause time spent training cave people is not spent on training themselves.

There's no such "unit" as spetsnaz. Basically, the word "Spetsnaz" is short for Spetsalnoe Naznochenie, which is "Special Purpose" or "Special Task Force" if translated to from Russian. There are many Russian Spetsnaz units just like there are many U.S. Special Forces units. The whole thing of Green Beret VS Spetsnaz is wrong. It should be like Green Beret vs Spetsnaz Vityaz or Navy SEALs vs Spetsnaz Vympel or U.S. Rangers VS Spetsnaz GRU
This is a bad comparison mostly because there mission objectives are vary different. Spesnaz are a Black Ops unit and should be compared to other Black Ops units like Seal Team 6 or Delta Force.

I don't doubt that, but Green Berets have other interesting warfighting skills, such as survivalism, recon shit, and working with foreigners in the field. And it was a good fight but i think the stupidest thing was they made the Green Berets use the Entrenchment Tool instead of a normal knife. The Spetsnaz were allowed to use a Ballistic Knife! That was the last fight Entrenchment Tool vs. Ballistic Knife..... i wonder who won. It was one Computer generated soldier vs. Another and i think it was ridiculous...
So why wouldn't a Green Beret actually have a knife? If the knife was balanced for throwing, he would have had an equal chance against the ballistic knife. That's a combat situation u described, u can't really call one single combat situation harsh, having a though life is harsh, for soldiers several years of extreme training, in extreme weather conditions, could be called harsh. But in general, being poor and hungry, that's harsh. Basically harsh is if u are mentally or physically traumatised. That's what used to happen in the Russian special forces training and even regular military.

They train harsh, the fight harsh, and they have been in some of the most harshest climates, ranging anywhere from Afghanistan to Vietnam. There is no doubt that Spetsnaz and their social-economic backgrounds are harsh. What I am stating is that Green Berets train just as effective.
@krezivan Also most modern Western military's find that traumatizing soldiers is negative option. It hampers unit cohesion and can even build negative emotions (such as revenge, hatred) among soldiers for their instructors. There is a deference in training for war and hazing an individual. Hazing is control and power issue, just like rape is. Now for instance we do put American Special Forces through SERE's School and train them to withstand interrogation techniques.

A lot of people don't recognize this because Green Berets are a very modest warrior with many skills as opposed to the flashy style of the Spetsnaz. But when push comes to shove, Green Berets have proved their mettle. At the Siege of Lang Vei, a small contingency of Green Berets survived 40 fragmentation grenades and tear gas in a small cell, and still came out fighting.

They go behind enemy lines and by the factor of force multiplier train guerrillas to lead a resistance against their targeted enemy. And, from personal encounters, I have found that most Green Berets have been to the grueling 61-day Ranger School, not to mention Special Forces Selection and Assessment. And one clearly can't deny the brutality found in SEREs School.

@ranlaen Not necessarily, VDV would be more comparable to the 82nd Airborne or 173 Airborne brigade. I find that there is a common generality to somewhat underrated a Green Beret's training and experience. Green Berets are trained to be intelligent, cultural experts who can absorb their surrounding environment with ease and make it a proactive environment by training and leading guerrilla forces. Their training ranges from Ranger School to Dive School to Combat Jiu Jitsu.

There's no such "unit" as spetsnaz. Basically, the word "Spetsnaz" is short for Spetsalnoe Naznochenie, which is "Special Purpose" or "Special Task Force" if translated to from Russian. There are many Russian Spetsnaz units just like there are many U.S. Special Forces units. The whole thing of Green Beret VS Spetsnaz is wrong. It should be like Green Beret vs Spetsnaz Vityaz or Navy SEALs vs Spetsnaz Vympel or U.S. Rangers VS Spetsnaz GRU

I don't doubt that, but Green Berets have other interesting warfighting skills, such as survivalism, recon shit, and working with foreigners in the field. They train harsh, the fight harsh, and they have been in some of the most harshest climates, ranging anywhere from Afghanistan to Vietnam. There is no doubt that Spetsnaz and their social-economic backgrounds are harsh. What I am stating is that Green Berets train just as effective.

It hampers unit cohesion and can even build negative emotions (such as revenge, hatred) among soldiers for their instructors. There is a deference in training for war and hazing an individual. Hazing is control and power issue, just like rape is. Now for instance we do put American Special Forces through SERE's School and train them to withstand interrogation techniques.

A lot of people don't recognize this because Green Berets are a very modest warrior with many skills as opposed to the flashy style of the Spetsnaz. But when push comes to shove, Green Berets have proved their mettle. At the Siege of Lang Vei, a small contingency of Green Berets survived 40 fragmentation grenades and tear gas in a small cell, and still came out fighting.

They go behind enemy lines and by the factor of force multiplier train guerrillas to lead a resistance against their targeted enemy. And, from personal encounters, I have found that most Green Berets have been to the grueling 61-day Ranger School, not to mention Special Forces Selection and Assessment. And one clearly can't deny the brutality found in SEREs School.

I find that there is a common generality to somewhat underrated a Green Beret's training and experience. Green Berets are trained to be intelligent, cultural experts who can absorb their surrounding environment with ease and make it a proactive environment by training and leading guerrilla forces. Their training ranges from Ranger School to Dive School to Combat Jiu Jitsu.

I have watched this video, and protest that 1 spetznaz could turn around in 3 seconds with a Green baret pointing a rifle at his head and still win against 5 green baret..Did anyone catch that error?
. Even worse the Spetznaz are older.
