This was the first album he did after his breakdown and I think the idea, given the state of his hair and mildly unhinged smile, is that he's been in a very vulnerable place - it reflects where he was at when he did the album.

I should point out that in art there's a very big difference between a nude image and erotica. You saw erotica, so that's in your head I'm afraid. I see it as much as an honest statement as the album.
