Only a small number of the whole population uses artificial insemination, so if every one of them froze their leftover eggs, the costs wouldn't be astronomical. Terry Schiavo never gave anyone permission to pull the plug. She didn't leave a will, and was unable to tell anyone her wishes during the situation. At any rate, no one has legal control to cause unlawful death to anyone, if that is in fact what happened, and the gov't had probable cause to keep the feeding tube in place until the situation could've been fully resolved. If you commit an action that has a reasonable chance of causing someone's death, it's considered involutary manslaughter...

All the gov't had to do was issue an injunction to keep the feeding tube in place, based on the mere possibility that she was alive, until it could be determined whether or not removing the tube would cause the death of a living human being. The fact that the order to pull the plug was carried out w/o reasonable certainty is criminal negligence.
It's public knowledge that Terry didn't leave a will, and she was in a vegetative state, so she couldn't tell anyone her wishes. Her husband told the gov't she would've wanted the feeding tube removed, but there needs to be direct evidence from Terry by her own oral or written testimony, otherwise there is reasonable doubt as to what her wishes were. Besides that, it could be argued that the involuntary manslaughter charges would stand regardless of Terry's wishes anyway.

O.K. I'll answer you but you still won't listen. The Intel Bush received was faulty and we investigated to see if it was true. It wasn't, but Bush and co. decided to tell us that Iraq was a threat (That's a lie) and so we started to invade in 2003. The searches were UN sanctioned, the invasion wasn't which is why we have as little support as we do.
Iraq wasn't a threat in fact they could have been one of our greatest allies in the war on terror.

There were 273 misleading statements made by W, Con me Rice, Dick, and Rummy in the days and months leading up to the war. The list was compiles by a congressman and was verified by a congressional committee. The largest % of these statements was made in the 30 days leading up to the vote in congress, and they were later found to be intentionally misleading. In non-washington speak that means they're lies.

HE DOES BEAT OLBERMANN, i never said he didnt... but he doesnt "kill him" as you like to say. and it depends what you look at... olbermann usually does pretty well in the demo rating, and his total viewers are usually 1 million. oreilly gets a little more than keith in the demo, and usually more than 2 million in total viewers. compared to one or two years ago, olbermann is doing a lot better.

Only a small number of the whole population uses artificial insemination, so if every one of them froze their leftover eggs, the costs wouldn't be astronomical. I really don't condone the process at all. If it's going to waste fertilized eggs at such an unreasonable rate, no one should be doing it. I don't see why someone's desire to have children should be allowed to cause the death of someone else.

If there's no practical way to have children, and you don't have much money, then you can't have children. That's reality, and it isn't practical to destroy 10 fertilized eggs to have one child.
If the excess of supply of stored eggs was growing at a fast enough rate, then I would argue that the eggs are going to die anyway, so there would be no harm in using them for the artificial insemination process.

Terry Schiavo never gave anyone permission to pull the plug. She didn't leave a will, and was unable to tell anyone her wishes during the situation. At any rate, no one has legal control to cause unlawful death to anyone, if that is in fact what happened, and the gov't had probable cause to keep the feeding tube in place until the situation could've been fully resolved. If you commit an action that has a reasonable chance of causing someone's death, it's considered involutary manslaughter...

The involuntary manslaughter law is a federal law, and there was reasonable evidence that Terry was still alive at the time they pulled the plug. All the gov't had to do was issue an injunction to keep the feeding tube in place, based on the mere possibility that she was alive, until it could be determined whether or not removing the tube would cause the death of a living human being. The fact that the order to pull the plug was carried out w/o reasonable certainty is criminal negligence.

It's public knowledge that Terry didn't leave a will, and she was in a vegetative state, so she couldn't tell anyone her wishes. Her husband told the gov't she would've wanted the feeding tube removed, but there needs to be direct evidence from Terry by her own oral or written testimony, otherwise there is reasonable doubt as to what her wishes were. Besides that, it could be argued that the involuntary manslaughter charges would stand regardless of Terry's wishes anyway.

The performance of Congress indicates to me that they may not be motivated to act on their stated beliefs. The administration and Congress have in many ways betrayed the public, like on issues of fiscal policy and immigration, so why would they uphold their "beliefs" on the Terry Schiavo case? Maybe it wasn't just guts. Maybe they just didn't care enough to do everything they could've done. I'm no attorney, but I know criminal negligence when I see it. Congress had a firm leg to stand on.

I would consider the Terry Schiavo incident to be small in comparison to the effects of the Iraq War and other crimes committed under the Bush administration, but it still needs to be discussed. Otherwise, it will balloon into something much worse, such as legalized euthanasia. I don't consider it to be a distraction, because we can focus on many issues at the same time. Talking about Terry won't take away from the discussion of higher issues as long as we don't spend too much time on it.

I don't think it's a good idea to ignore issues like abortion and Terry Schiavo to focus solely on the largest issues. We need to resolve all of them.

They can afford to store them they just have no use for them. A woman, usually, only wants one fertilized egg. Those left over would either spend all eternity in a freezer, would be implanted into women who are entirely unrelated and for some reason cannot provide their own eggs, or the mother would have to have as many children as her eggs allow. That is a completely impractical and unfeasable view. Not a single one of those eggs will ever know they existed.
