There's a keypad under Smuggler's bed, which allows you to access the stash behind the mirror.

Shame you didn't give him the gun, or else she would have stayed at the hotel and not left, but I guess giving him a gun goes against the nonlethal thing :/

If you give him the hotel owner the gun, but zap Jojo and still don't kill him, do you still get penalized?

@Ralrykam There isn't a consensus on the definition of a nonlethal playthrough in Deus Ex, so I can't answer that. As for Sandra, I don't mind seeing her later in the game.

@shido534 Depending on what you're carrying, you can give him a variety of weapons. It doesn't have to be a pistol. So long as daddy gets one shot or swing, his pookums sticks around.

Even though you can finish this game without killing, I wished ammo were more plentiful. For the rush in guns blazing type who don't like to leave any bad guys standing (like me).

damn, i wish i had watched through your walkthroughs before playing - i'm at the same part in the game but i don't have half the augs you have, and you're probably way more leveled up etc. too. where did you find the run silent mod?

If Deus Ex were to be re-made with today's advanced technology and expanded budget for videogame development, would such a complex optional secondary storyline like staying loyal to UNATCO (and instead of going after Bob Page possibly end up killing Tracer Tong, Chad Dumier, Nicolette DuClare, Morgan Everett, Gary Savage, Paul etc. and helping MJ12 take over the world?) be possible? I certainly think so, and it would be nice to see such an idea implemented into Deus Ex 3.

Also, at this point in the game there was apparently going to be a way to stay loyal to UNATCO and not join the NSF, but it was scrapped and removed from the finished product (probably because it was just too complicated to integrate into the game with the budget or technology available at the time). However, remnants of speech recorded for the storyline remain in the game files (see Youtube video 'Deus Ex - UNATCO Isn't Perfect').

Another religious reference I just noticed; all the clearance levels mentioned in the game (Angel 0/A, God etc). Deus Ex has plenty of them, including the title itself (Deus Ex Machina), since the plot is all about man and machine combining to become God.

When you go to the Smuggler for the 2nd time, you do not have to bypass the lasers. You can go right in, because the bot is with you this time.

Upgrade your hacking skills to Trained, and a hacking option should appear when you access a security panel and computer.

After my third playthough I didn't bypass those lasers, I used the crates to jump over the lasers, talk to the smuggler and once done I could pass the lasers without trouble and the other times I pass the lasers with no worries :)

I'm wondering why you bypass the lasers in Smuggler's. After your first conversation with him, the security bot turns green, and you can simply walk through the lasers with no danger.

Excellent videos, by the way. My favorite video game walkthrough series, ever.
