  • Can you be under a black light? I love black lights.

  • @hammerboycb Sure, I can be under a black light, but I don't glow white, like a white t-shirt would. :)

  • LOL epic ending to a video =) I was wondering, does pigmentation in the skin act as a protective nerve coating as well? Like the rays of the sun will make it very sensitive yes but what about things like getting a cut or scrape or even waxing? Does that harm your skin more than a person with any pigmentation?

  • @GoddessGrimm My skin doesn't react differntly than anyone else's. Pigmentation is just that. It's skin colour.

  • I think you are incredibly motivational by actively trying to educate people and erasing stereotypes. You have my extreme respect.

  • @jaf226 Thank you. That's very kind of you. :)

  • Lawl ur albino hurr

  • @strikerfcc Yes I am.

  • i think u have to begin using this natural divinly cure >

black seeds plus real pure honey of bees

in the morning and before bed

    for at least one year

plus at least one carrot everyday after meal with its skin

u can add to them aliments containing clorophyl such as lettuce plus vinigar of apple

(for the quantity of honey and black seeds use them in little quantities , about 7 to 15 seeds)

this miraculous seed will regulate all the functions of your body systems .

  • @lahoucine66 Thank you for the suggestion, but I think I'll pass. There is nothing wrong with my body systems. Albinism is a genetic condition that cannot be "cured" with natural or other remedies.

  • would adding melanin to your skin in form of an injection give you pigment????

  • @critviz No, that would actually kill me.

  • @LuminolBlue why?? isnt that what your actually missing??

  • @critviz Yes it is, but you can't just inject pigment into a person, the process of pigment creation is more complicated than just an injection of colour.

  • @LuminolBlue Well, thanks for replying to all my stupid questions. just one more...What about things like tanning lotion, dont they have melanin?? Its just that I have being going over the process that creates melanin and i was may be thinking that some some how could be a solution but i guess you probably thought about that already...

  • @critviz Not a problem. No question is stupid, so ask away!

Tanning lotions, from my understanding, don't contain real pigmentation, they are full of different chemicals that produce the same effects but those effects are temporary. Plus, for a person with albinism, tanning lotions don't really serve any real purpose since we can't tan if we were to actually try it.

  • @LuminolBlue why?? isnt that what your actually missing??

  • @MrCombatveteran Also I'd like to add that I apologize for the ignorance you had to grow up with, and would hope that you don't now have any stigmas against the entire African American community based on a few ignorant people

  • @MrCombatveteran This is the weirdest thing I have ever heard. Being African American this is completely ridiculous in my personal opinion. I don't think I've ever heard anyone claim that all white people are albinos. If people in your neighborhood did I am sorry because they are clearly very ignorant people. Albinos are people who lack any pigmentation. For someone to claim that all caucasian people are albinos is just showing their ignorance on the whole subject.

  • Would wearing colored contacts help you?

  • @bigtimeweb Hmmm..that's a very good question. I have to admit, I really don't know, I've never tired with coloured contact lenses.

  • Are your pubes white too? no joke.

  • Can you see well in the dark????????????

  • @jerome34895 No..............

  • Thank you for reply.

    Appreciatefor the informative video.

  • My son is Albinism by birth, any advice to improve his vision.

  • @rakeshbains There are no methods to improve vision. The vision of a person with albinsim stays pretty much the same through out the person's life. I'm not qualified to provide any kind of medical advice, so it's best if you speak to your family doctor.

  • Is it weird being an Albino... (Just a for real question) And do you like being called an inbred..

  • @vivienleigh1097 No, there is nothing wrong with being an albino, in fact I'm very proud of who and what I am. Secondly, I have never been called an inbred. What makes you think that albinism is a result of inbreeding?

  • @LuminolBlue I jsut heard... Hahah i think its ocol.

  • What a beautifully informative video - thank you for posting :-)

  • @lee1984yate Thank you for your kind words! :)

  • I think your eyelashes are beautiful.

  • @Masshatred Thank you. :)

  • I think it's silly for people to wonder why you don't just wear glasses. You could ask a blind person why they don't wear glasses and they would kinda have the same answer: because glasses aren't always a cure. It really depends on what's wrong with your eyes. Thanks for making this video! It was very informative. :-)

  • @goldenarias You're welcome. I'm glad you found this video useful. :)

  • is it true that the reason that albinos eyes are reddish in color is because, due to the lack of pigment, those viewing the colored part of the eye are actualy looking at the muscle in the eye, hence the red color?

  • @atheismwillwin Not quite. You've got the lack of pigment part right. The blood vessels are visible because of the lack of pigment. :)

  • I'll learned a lot from your video! Thanks for sharing :)

  • @TheCosmopolitician You're welcome. :)

  • @MrCombatveteran I've been called nasty names in school but nothing racist.

  • ur awsome

  • @meerdog42 Thank you.

  • lol when i saw you in the thumb nail i thought you were am old man because of your hair, but when i saw you my first reaction is"wow your eyes are incredible!" then i notice you are actually quite young! but seriously, your eyes are so pretty, not just the color, but the white lashes is also really unique! just one question, is your skin like super sensitive to sunlight?

  • @MrBubblygoodness Thank you, and yes my skin is very sensitive to UV light (sun light).

  • Very good! This shoud more people in norway do as well. I work in an orginasasion for people with low eyesight (sorry bad english) I see as normal, but i ave learned so much, and there is still much to learn...

One time I sat with two people with albinism , but i dinæt know about that. Ofcourse did I say something like :But Iam real blond (I thougt they had coloured it) Lol guess if I was embarest. . Fortunatly they laughed with me :-p

    But this is great :)

  • @MansonStian85 Thank you. I'm glad you liked the video. :)

  • how do you deal with puberty?

are there any treatments for acne that could prove good or bad for your skin?

do you guys have a lot or very little hair?

    what sunscreen do you use?

is dying your hair really bad for your particular hair?

  • i've commented at one of your other videos...i see you respond pretty quickly so.... i wanted to ask you that at some vids..such as this one i have a weird problem...my screen turns green and i cant see you or anything else

P.S:at some i have this problem at other i dont...thx

  • @alexcorvyn That's very interesting...I honestly have no idea why your screen is acting up like this.

  • hi, am ghada my brother have a baby girl with Albinism , am from egypt and we don"t know any thing a bout this condition , u answered all my questions so thank u :)

  • @ghadaaaaaaa You're welcome.

  • Hi again! Thank you for that video as well. I watched your first 'What is Albanism'-Video and I had a few questions indeed! ^^ Most of them were answered in this video, but I still have some. Regarding your childhood: Have people/other kids accepted you or were you struggeling a lot with intolerance and bullying? Do you still? Regarding protection: Did you have problems playing with kids outside? (I just suppose that these cool glasses didn't exist and that there weren't so high sunblockers...)

  • @RedCat12610 1: Yes, people are much more accepting now than they were when I was growing up. 2: No protection when I was growing up; I was pretty much a shut-in. I had glasses as a kid, but they weren't transition.

  • @sunnyblues89 Oh... Okay. :) No, no worries at all. - Thanks for letting me know!

  • @sunnyblues89 I'm sorry I don't recognize the name. What name did you go by before?

  • Could you grow a mustache or some other type of facial hair for your next video? I've never seen a person with albism with facial hair before. Willyou do it?

P.S. nice video, it answered a lot of my questions about the vision problems of people with albism. God bless!

  • @sunnyblues899 Thank you for the compliments. No, I'm not a facial hair kind of guy. Sorry. :)

  • you have to be very proud of you bcs albniism people is unique in the world, i l have learned more about it, i will suscribe your channel ... thanks for all in peru there are a little percentage of albinism, yup take care

  • I'm not an albino. But I have never come across an Indian male who had lighter skin color than me until I saw your video.

  • Thank you for the information! :-)

  • @zyaayz You're welcome. :)

  • i have a freind that i am pretty sure has albinism, when you were a child did you ever deny you genetic disorder

  • @1khalil9 No, I never denied my condition. I have always been very proud of who and what I am.

  • What color are your eyes.? They look red. Are they.?

  • @angelos714 My eyes are light grey with a hint of pink.

  • I made a video for my students (I teach psych). Could you see if you have any suggestions: An Albino's Buide To The Eye. I'd appreaciate your thoughts.

  • @kentangen Sure thing.

  • I liked your answers. I'll use the one about melting in the sun. Good job.

  • @kentangen Haha. Thank you!

  • 5? looks like much more than 5.

  • TuahShinguru... Yup we can good enough for martial arts since the apponent is litterally in your face. I've been doing it all my life. Its more about body awareness than anything else.

  • Good stuff man. I too get asked about the very questions.

If people want to see more of "us" in action, send them over to my page.

Keep up the fight against misinformation going about a genetic condition that can be spotted from a mile away but widely unseen for what it is.

  • @LEXPIX Thank you!

  • 5 gum in the background? Casual advertisement, Am.

  • @rljake2 LOL good eye, Jake, I didn't even think of that!

  • @LuminolBlue If I'm not mistaken, you have about 10-11 packs there. And it's funny you say "good eye" on a video about albinism. :P

  • @rljake2 Nope, only 5 packs, and yeah the "good eye" comment is an ... oversight. LOL

  • Some albinos are extremely long-sighted and/or astigmatic.

I've heard Medieval myths about shorter life expectancy in albinos but I attribute them to the fact that there was no sunscreen then. Skin cancer must have been what caused them to die.

  • Are you'r eyes slightly red?

  • @Blackhearts60 Yes, they are, and that is because the veins in my eyes are exposed due to the lack of pigmentation (colour) in my eyes.

  • @LuminolBlue Lol i know what pigmentation is :P that's interesting though

  • I have also heard that wearing glasses also causes your vision to become worse because the eyes become more dependant. That is why I am considering have lasik surgery but I have to be very choosy as to who does it.

  • @hunhun23 Yes, glasses do make your eyes worse but surgery is risky. Keep in mind it might not be long-term successful even if your doctors say all has gone well. In a few years time you are likely to have sight problems again.

  • @alaswoeisme Thank you for the information. The problem that I have is astignatism and the glasses that I wear are corrective.

  • The fluorescent lights at my school turned my brain into fried eggs. Or maybe it was my teacher...

Here's a question. Would your vision be good enough to do martial arts? That is to say, would you be able to accurately see a person's entire body's movements at close range?

I ask 'cause I hope to be a martial arts teacher someday, and I must learn to teach in as many ways as possible. :D

  • @TuahShinguru I don't think my reflexes are sharp enough to do martial arts; although, I've never tried, so I really don't know. Haha

  • Are all albino's legally blind? Btw, Love your video's!

  • @tunyadrfg7 No, not all people with albinism are legally blind; however, we all have some form of vision loss.

  • @LuminolBlue Ahhh, I see.. Thank you for answering my question ^-^

  • @tunyadrfg7 You're welcome!
