  • I've been looking at some shredded tees on a website called Etsy.com to purchase, so I decided to try to do it own my own first.. and LUCKILY!! I found YOU!!! This is awesome and now I can turn all my old tees into works of art! Thank you so much! Love your videos!

  • your so pretty.....like it...ill try it!

  • Love the front!

  • I like this technique but to save time, I would use a rotary cutter to cut the sides and use a

quilting ruler so you don't make mistakes. It would be faster than using scissors. I do like wearing it from the front and using a camisole or a lightweight tank top on the underside with a contrasting color. Love your tutorials!

  • I just LOVE you!! the designs you come up with are amazeing!! can you please try some XL t-shirts? I see that you are tiny but I have a lot of shirts that are 100% cotton, XLarge.. I'm a medium and can't seem to reconstruct them to fit.. thanks, and keep the videos coming!!!!

I have a lot of T's we get as promos from hubby's work & mine (I'm a zumba instructor) and I'm sick of the logo wear....need to cut up some old stuff, make it funky and rock it in class. You're a sweet girl to share all this. Keep up the good work and have a good one!

  • me encanto

  • Can you make a video that helps me on makin Shirts into cool tank tops, please?

Love ur videos and ur style,

    It's been help full :P

  • pretty good video. except i can't see what you're doing exactly when you tie it off on the bottom... kinda stuck on that part right now...

  • When you said "crochet pattern on the back" it gave me an idea. I crochet all the time, if I did a lace look with larger super soft yarn it would almost be the same thicknes as now, or I could take it all the way down to thread and give it a real lace back instead of a lace look. What do you think? Or anyone, what do all you guys think? And would you buy it, if you seen it somewhere? There are some really colorful varigated yarns and threads now that would make the back pop. Let me know. Txs

  • @Oreocremerocks That would be amazing :o

  • your ring :o!! i love it!

  • I did this with a long sleeved shirt, and it came out great, except i only did it with 3 weaves. Your a great teacher!

  • do i need a stretchable kinda shirt for that?..cant wait to try it..you are an amazing teacher and i love your tattoo..i definitely gonna try it..^^

  • Thanks for the help!! I'm gonna go do my tee :) like a comment below, im also wondering how it will turn out after wash? will the cut-up parts stretch like crazy or something?

  • Great Job!

  • Hey, do you know if it'll still look good if I do that to a band shirt thats like a large/XL..? Cuz I love the shirt, but its wayyy too big and I love what you've done to your shirt. :] So let me know! Thanks!

  • Yeah that looks sweet haha :)

  • you rocks , Amazing you are the best reconstructor of T shirt. May i know your good name?

  • hey you look sexy in that shirt....

    ;-)

  • these are so awesome and i love how you encourage your viewers to recreate their own!

  • Do you have to intertwine the lines together? Or can you just leave the strings by its self?

  • This is really cool, I can't wait to try it! Thanks for the video - you ROCK!

  • i like ur taste :)

  • This is awesome. I just did this to an old t-shirt i never used because the collar was to tight. Now it's my favorite t-shirt. ^_^

  • I watched this video&&i thought it was super cool so i grabbed a shirt that was super plain that i never ever used&&cut it up.

i actually weaved it 6x its really snug.

    i love it!

the weaving was easy but when it came to tying it after each weave i messed up&&had to start all over again. I dnt get how to do it.

  • you're amazing!

  • really enjoyed it!!! you are great!

  • I love your videos! Can't wait to try the techniques out :)

  • i really love your videos... thank you so much for sharing all those great tutorials... Can't wait to try them out now... :-)

  • i have a ? i have been trying to do this i love making shirts but i have a problem thought u could help when i get to the end of weaving it and you tie the knots how do i stop my shirts from bunching up it? please help thanks

  • i learned how to make that style shirt too! i was at the tattoo expo in pomona last year, it's my favorite pattern :)

  • i think you should have your own store for this cut style shirt, you got talent and skills^^

  • When you say it's a "cool crocheted look" you actually mean to say knitting. Those stitches you're making are more in line with knitting. Loved the video, looking forward to trying this out. Thanks!

  • very cute and love the mess up in the front! it looks so cute!

  • can you please show ,how to tie the bottom eveything seems easy but that lol thanks!

  • LOVE this. Thank you! Has anyone told you you look a little like Idina Menzel?

  • out of all the t shirt deconstruction videos on youtube yours are the mot interesting and they turn out really well because you explain it really clearly! so thank you! i get so many compliments when i wear the thing i make from your videos ^_^

  • This is great! I can actually follow your tutorials better than speedy demonstrators. Thanks!

  • love it!!

  • LOVE it! I do textiles (Tie dye, shibori, batik) as well as screen printing. I end up with a lot of rejects and now I know what to do with them. Thanks so much! I love all your videos :)

  • verry verry cool! Im really gonna try this!!

  • i have a shirt i did like that but i cut off the sleeves and made it into a tank :)

  • so, i did this, and it's friggin awesome!!!! this was my first shirt recon, and I did this in the back, and i cut the sleeves off and did the same thing you did for the racerback tank, and it turned out really cool, all except the fact that I cut two strips in the front of the shirt, and I HATE them, mainly because they're crooked and i stretched them too much. but... the rest of the shirt is cool enough that it doesn't really matter

  • Wow waaaay cool I'm so gonna try this when I have the time!

  • simply loved it!!! i need to go out and buy me some shirts!!!

  • this is an amazing creation, Julia~ really luv the style n the ideas~~ keep up the gud work ^^*

  • great instructions! thanks a ton, this video expalins perfectly

  • this is soo awesome!!

  • that would look cute with a cami

  • Amazing video. I found that putting the shirt on someone else before knotting it works better as it frames the persons body really well.

  • if u do that 5 times, wont the shirt be too tight on you if you try it on?

  • @jlacsina96 start with a larger shirt and then you should be fine!

  • @jlacsina96

It shouldn't be becuase 1) you're stretching it out, and 2) you should be using a shirt that is a bit bigger than you need in the first place

  • 3am making t shirts...you must have lots of energy...

  • i wish i had the body to wear that :(

  • thats hideouse !

  • OMG this is the best ever and you know they all rock! Luv it !!

  • its like finger knitting for the back lol!

  • ure real fun to watch.

    at 3am! real trooper!

    kudos :)

  • ure really fun to watch.

    showing us this at 3pm.

    real trupper :) kudos.

  • hey great job, but question... would this work on a regular tee shirt, which is not stretchy? / do you have to cut the neck out to make this look as good? thanks, xo

  • what type of fabric or material, if you will, do you think is best for these various techniques of cutting and weaving you have videos of? I would think stretch material???

  • elysseable - cotton spandex blends work best :) i used baby t's from forever 21 that are 100% cotton, but they're thin and they stretch well

  • cute. (: i love ure shrt. you inspired me to try to make it, only i messed up. oh well, ill think of something. thnks for the sweet tutorial. :D

  • Looks great I think im going to make a Shirt.

But do you have to use a shirt with some type of elasticity to it? Or Would the design still have the same effect if i just use a regualr cotton T-shirt??

  • it looks cute!

  • Heeeeeyyy! I like that! I have a few shirts that I did like that, but never thought about doing it so many times making that cool pattern. Ohh!! My new Guns N' Roses shirt is going to be badass! Thank you!!!

  • Very nice and fashion forward. Luv the different ways to wear this look. Absolutely luv it!

  • Hey,

I love the idea and the outcome, of course :) You show that one does not have to have a studio or a hi-tec sewing machine to retouch the Tees. And that it can be made on the "laptop" :D
