In my mind the slowdown is a testament to the programmer's abilities. They were pushing the hardware to do things that had never been imagined by it's designers. That tiny little CPU was made to work like crazy - you can almost feel every processor cycle happening! Programmers these days certainly have it easier with resources.
One of the very best games on the CPC. The "3D" (isometric) view with animations is very impressing for the date it's been released. It may feel an empty game but it was really exciting and cool to play. I think it's the only game I ever completed to the end!
VOTO = 10
WAY-HEY!!! We had this on our Amstrad (in all its spectacular greenish glory!) It's amazing listening to all the silly sounds. They bring back good good memories. Thank-you so much. I'm 8 years old again! :-)
That shite colour scheme is just pandering to a CPC's 4 colour audience; and they only used three colours! I agree with the walking sound though. That was monotonous.
I played months with turn*walk then i discovered Directional Control lol. and after years when i played Alone in the dark 1, i had no problems with steering :) was good training

Games like "Batman" or "Head and Heels" were based on this one or at least shared a very similar scheme, appearance etc.

This seems to get slower than the other versions, or what do you say?

Alien 8 was also in the same trend.

This is made funnier by the fact it's actually managing to lag.

LOL! What's with the crappy walking sounds on this version? And the shite colour scheme? Gimme the speccy version anyday.

Hahahaa. I saw this on the Amstrad first.

This comment has received too many negative votes show
I am very satisfied that the Amstrad-gfx used more than the one colour that the Spectrum used (+ black for the backgrounds). Spectrums suck you know
