@ilikewoollymammoths i've used the 18-55 kit lense for the video, but the last shot is taken with a 55-250mm canon lens. Check out my other video's, with canon 50mm f1.4 lens :)

@LeanderRandom Switch the mode dial to the video icon to enter movie mode. And all you have to do is press the LiveView button on the back of the camera to start recording. ;)

Which programs have you used to put this films together ? I had planned to buy a 500D and I have a camera that will only save movies in MPEG-4 format, and I've read that the 500D does it too? is it true ? Well Well, what format are the movies saved in and what program do you use?

@OnlyMeRightBeside i've used Adobe after effects, but you can use any program like iMovie or even windows movie maker :P

This camera saves the files in .mov file. 720p at 30fps, and 1080p at 20fps.

i editted this in After Effects, and exported to a .flv file. and then uploaded this on youtube :)
