This game was so much better than the flop that was Killzone 3.. I don't know anyone still playing KZ3 now, the story was abysmal and multiplayer was just a poor copy and paste with pretty average ideas. Too bad this game is pretty much dead online. Killzone 3 sucked, but maybe it will return to form with KZ4!

the grapics to this game werent that great... they look like moving cardboard... im not saying now but when i played this back then it just bothered me. when you zoom in it looks like card board not actual 3d... it does have 3d lighting... but if it was intended to be a cardboard style just lke prince of persia in its comic style... then ill keep my mouth shut but i doubt it. just my opinion. killzone 3 is the same. if u dont know what im talking about, read this n youll notice

Killzone 2 is one of the best First-Person shooters. Its single-player campaign was way better than what COD: MW1 or 2 ever offered because it had a lot more action, and I literally mean A LOT. It has been underrated, but for anyone who wants a shooter with a lot of "meat," BUY THIS GAME. It is worth it.

@srbulovi Dang I always forget about different regions. This game is really good, but it's a different style than most shooters, more tactical and not as fast paced. I don't know how much it is in Austria, but it is pretty cheap here right now. One of the good things about getting a ps3 late in the game, is that there are a lot of great games you can get for cheap now. =)

The problem with Killzone's campaign is that the story isn't engaging, the character's are annoying, and the whole story arc (which has interesting concepts sprinkled throughout) is held down by how often the mission objectives make you feel like you're just sort-of there a lot of the time.

The story is supposed to be the struggle between an evil war obsessed regime, and a military tasked with protecting the galazy from threats, but it never really felt like the story kept its momentum, and it took every liberty to be cliched. Dramatic moments were thrown in just for the sake of being dramatic, even though the characters were so boring that the moments packed no emotional punch.

@boobyricky50 And I agree with half of what you said, the story for Gears isn't very good at all, and it suffers from the same problems that Killzone does, but Halo's story (the first 3, not Reach or ODST) have a strict narrative focus, an overarching and evolving plot that progress the story and expand the universe and lore with each game, and the mission structure allows for plenty of important story moments to occur during the game itself, as well as during in a cutscene.

The mission design for Killzone is fun, but it hardly feels like what you are doing in the gameplay itself is impacting the story in a serious way, and the less than interesting characters that accompany you throughout half of the game don't make your missions feel any more important in contect with the cutscenes.

@GTAmaniacs23 No, not this game. You still can find some servers of Killzone 2, but they have 8 or maybe 9 people. Its the same thing everyday. The most played games, right now, are: Call of Duty Black Ops, Red Dead Redemption, Resistance 3, Uncharted 2 and Battlefield Bad Company 2.
