According to Bill Gibson, Mario used to sing in other Bands with him, but never had that good a voice (i know how that feels :-D) so the rest of the News decided he'd have a more striking Image by just standing there with a Cigarette while Playing. Its certainly striking. In Acapella Songs that he does feature he's usually playing an upright Bass or a Bass Guitar. I love this! This is the kind of Huey I love best because this is the music he loves best. I always listened to oldies as a teen and got teased about it. I was so happy as a kid when I discovered Huey Lewis. He's so great :o)
