  • Wtf

  • Have a 2005 outback sedan. Check out my video of me sliding and mashing on the brakes one day when we had out first snow in Colorado!

  • He probably thought he could make a run for it, but didn't see how close he was until....

    yeah.

  • thats what you get for having shitty autmatics folks

  • Its sad that some people cant drive, should have turn into the corner and spun the tires, rode it out adn would have been fine, obviously has no winter smarts.

  • lmao really have to wonder if he thought his foot would actually make a difference.

  • Wow all subaru

  • 0:07 if he was smart he would notice that when he took his foot off his brake he could turn... but obviosly not.

  • That was close........

  • Motorcross racer maybe? lol

  • I don't need to know how to drive on snow, I drive a Subaru Forester.

  • Too much granola and chai tea in their diet and then I bet this driver was listening to NPR radio.

  • What a fucking idiot give it a little gas and go around the corner WTF

  • dont slam on the brakes

    dumb ass

  • why do these dumb asses keep trying to jump out of there cars? every vid of someone sliding on ice.

  • Dure the video I just kept yelling HIT THE FUCKEN GAS... It would have saved the day, and for the Flinestones style stopping attempt was just stupid (women driver)maybe? :@)

  • And the entire pile is made of AWD Subarus... I love it when people can't drive :)

  • What a moron... ppl always wanna hit brakes. when they're sliding. Did you see what happened when he wasn't hitting the brakes and turned where he wanted to go? It worked. Remember that.

  • What a freaking IDIOT!!!! Could have gotten his leg chopped off by the door. This aint the flinstones, this is real life.

  • WILLLLLMMMMMMMAAAAAAAAAAAAA *cue FLintstones theme*

  • @MrScreamQween LMAO

  • he tried to stop the car with his leg? haha the car weighs 2 or 3 tons,so if the brake doesn't work a human leg is just paper :P xD

  • @Xtwqedfaghyuinm 3 tons? not even my fullsize gmc sierra weighs that lol

  • It can't be emphasized how much of a bad idea that was!

  • this guy think hes hulk. would be 67 million views, 66,999,991 likes, if he kept his leg out.

  • what an idiot

  • ABS fail

  • @we5leyz ABS only works under "heavy" braking he wasn't going fast enough for ABS to correct, and ABS wouldn't have done anything in that situation.

  • @MrSpanky147 I don't know man. My ABS works even when I'm only going 5mph on ice. Maybe that model doesn't have abs yet

  • @we5leyz The car doesnt look to old so, maybe the ABS system was messing up!?!

  • ''Oh shite, I better stick my leg outta dem door to stop my 2 ton SUV''

  • I am a member of the 1% club. In the winter, I have fun.

  • try the hazard lights next time buddy

  • press 7

  • He did the right thing by turning the steering wheel, but that was matched with the wrong thing of stepping on the brakes and not letting them go.

  • Wow all three cars are Subaru's... That's some talent right there

  • Its all in the driveing not the car. Most people dont go out and lern what there car can and can not do, or how it acts in advers conditions. So id you dont have a clue then stay off the road.

  • your foot out the door WTF Mr Flinstone

  • Well, that's one of getting rid of the snow on your car...

  • all subarus...

  • Notice it's all AWD Wagons that crashed. The AWD Jeep Grand Cherokee is like "idiots" lol.

  • pile-o-subies.

  • the black jeep is laughing at the forester lmao

  • '.. hit the gas instead of the break ..'

Actually, if he used SNOW CHAINS in these snowy, icy, conditions, he wouldn't have to worry about either (gas or brakes) to stop a slide - the vehicle (2wd, 4wd, awd, or other) wouldn't be sliding in the first place. Four wheel drive and all wheel drive vehicles can slide on ice just as easily as any other vehicle. Snow chains, snow cables, and studded tires are the only sure ways to prevent that. Snow chains and cables are the cheapest solution.

  • @stewartx5 some areas dont allow you to use snow chains or cables as it will tear up the pavement

  • @dragus213 '.. some areas dont allow .. snow chains ..'

In those areas, nylon cables are available which are almost as effective, certainly more so than nothing.

  • @stewartx5

What country are you from? Just curious. Alot of other countries (that aren't the U.S. I mean) seem to change tires and put snow safety things on their cars...

  • @Pimpful97

An American residing temporarily in Germany. Drivers here are required to use winter or all-season tires during winter months (can be ticketed otherwise). I use all-season tires (expensive if built to handle autobahn speeds in summer), but still keep snow chains or cables handy during winter months. However, a single nation-wide rule wouldn't work in the USA since weather varies so greatly (rarely snows in south, for example). I prefer to just keep the chains or cables handy.

  • its fred flintstone!!

  • silver subaru vs silver subaru vs silver subaru!!!! who will win?!

  • tryd 2 do a lil bicycle slide

  • yaba, daba, doh!

  • Put it in reverse !

  • That would not have happened if people would get proper winter tires with studs for their cars.

  • not in that slippery surface it wouldnt

  • when car starts going sideways just add some gas and see what happens, could'nt hurt and possibly could even get handling back

  • @prohumets it could potentially hurt when you accelerate into something

  • @VladBlok28

either way you skid into something. with gas you could alter the cars direction in the snow. especcialy 4 wheel drive.

  • @Reintjuh100 i know but all i meant is that in an unrecoverable situation its better to skid into something slower than faster :) i drive a 4WD car, i know how it goes

  • Release the brakes and steer right ... jeeze

  • ouch at first i thought his leg snapped in the door from that sound o.O"""!

  • wow! thats all i can say

  • at least he tried

  • WTF, what goes through peoples heads that they will be safer jumping out of their damn car? the world is full of retards that shouldnt have licenses.

  • wow he almost decapatates his leg and if he would of just taken his foot off the gas and didnt try and make a abrasiv manuvor he would of been fine and you cant go that fast in 1 gear on those automatics unless you apply your gas even with street tires i enjoy the 98 forester i drive up in nevada county doesnt beat my 90 4runner though but its a wonderful wagon for your loved one

  • @CHIEFKILLERQUIST

The correct word you are looking for is " amputate" the leg. Decapitate is used when someone is beheaded.

  • damn, hes lucky he closed his door, or more like his leg was lucky he closed his door.

  • Another one of those fucking IDIOTS who buys something either because his cunt wife says to, or all the other queers he hangs with have them. It's like the Apple computer plague on society.

  • he must kick acceleration than brake ... stupin gay

  • I hear they call him Mr. Flintstone now.

  • @lore77a05 I think they call him Mr Gay Fuckin Queer Douchebag Cocksucker

  • ehh he freaked out, although looks pretty obvious that the car went right where he wanted to go when he hit the gas....

  • Would putting the car in reverse help in this situation? Although it may not be possible if the wheels are moving forward.

  • @clankm no it wouldnt help. it would be worse.

  • From wat I heard if ur car is sliding in one direction ur supposed to countersteer and ease off the throttle and ease on the brakes

  • it started turning when he let go of the brakes, he should have realized....

  • @TophaLopha1215 SERIOUSLY. i noticed that after i read your comment, how stupid is he. it obviously was going in the other direction. and he just sat there on the brakes as if it was magically going to stop. i am 15, i drove in the snow for me first time not too long ago, and i am better at it than half the tards on youtube. if i slid i corrected it, think its pretty strait forward.

  • He also COuld Have probably straightened it out never hit your brake

  • OOOOOHHHHHHHHHHHH OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOHHHHHHHHH "CLOSE YOUR DOOR CLOSE YOUR DOOR"

  • I understand that people don't know how to use 4wd, what i don't understand is why they always try to jump out off the car a few seconds to crash? This is the last thing that i can think in that situation!

  • i think a AWD vehicle, winter tires on all wheels and understanding on how to drive on icy road are the best equipments in that situation

  • @stoneroses13 o rly

  • FWD, RWD, AWD and 4x4. Once the snow and ice comes, 85 % of the people on the roads become complete IDIOTS. 14% have a clue and 1% have fun. ;)

  • let off the breaks, let the damn car get traction and drive away. how hard is that?

  • the coefficient of static friction is greater than kinetic friction - which means try not to lock your brakes!

  • Fred Flintstone did it this way for years.....bare foot!!!!

  • you put steering wheel on full lock to the right and GASSSS! then counter steer. =)

  • for a second he tought he was chuck norris

  • Rookies! in a Subaru,

    Get some winter tires people

  • don't lock your tires. Keep your tires moving. :P

  • Wow.. people really don't know how to drive.. as soon as he let off the brakes the first time he was fine and was actually going to make it then he hit his brakes and his foot move fucked him up..lol

    AWD=ADD GAS

  • flintstones!

  • nice one.

  • He was reliving the days of stopping a sled with his foot.

  • "idiot gets fractured foot while trying to stop a 2 ton car"

  • that guys legs wouldve got cut off if he didnt close that.. that wouldve equaled more veiws.

  • shift into reverse and floor it

  • he had it going and shat himself ..if hed had put a little power on when he mad the corner he would have been fine

  • I am the only one watching this because it happened to me?

That's what I get for not using chains x__x

  • I hate icy roads........reverse won`t work on my Honda, takes a while, safety so you won`t abruptly stop if you jam it in when going forward?.......otherwise tear up trans.

  • SUBARU wtf !!!

  • @bleffinger just because its AWD does not mean it has traction on ice... IDC if you have 4WD or AWD, you will not get any traction on ICE!!!!

  • For ice under snow, he would have done best to keep his foot off the brake, steer into the small snow mound in the yard right after he started to slide. It would have saved him thousands, with no embarrassment. Life is for learning and learning is for life. I would recommend that he take his car out of an empty parking lot in the snow & ice storm and learn how to steer out of a spin.

  • he should of kept driving, he would of made it around the corner right?

where i live theres no snow or ice so im just guessing haha

  • good way to loose or break a leg, really you thought that was gonna work? 4 tires on the ground and HEY my foot will do what they cant bwhahahahaha

  • and what if He actually would have stop the car ?? :O

  • @Al3x66 then my friend i would have proof that superman exists in real life :O

  • people yelling and everything looks alot like curling

  • never brake on snow, let the car do what it wants to do!!!

  • Lol at the guy saying 'oh, yeah!' at the end.

  • What a stupid "peeeep", its a AWD Forester, if he hit the gas instead of the break the car would correct itself.

  • @one2gfx in a situation like that you don't think that long, you just want the car to stop

  • @one2gfx if the front wheels cant get traction no it would have

  • @one2gfx if the front wheels couldnt get traction it wouldnt have corrected shit.

  • @one2gfx well i guess if he was that stupid to think he could stop the car with his foot, i m sure he couldn t figure that out

  • pulls foot in at last second, "well maybe not such a great idea"

  • Here's a clue!!If your cars tires, with the weight of your car, cannot stop your car from skidding on ice.Them you with your 100 something pounds will not stop the car.Human race please get a brain!!!

  • @gebass6 natural selection

  • ...It's a Subaru. When it was turning, give 'er a burst of power, it'd wag it's tail a bit and make the right turn no problem.

  • anyone notice all the cars are Subarus ... aren't they good at this stuff?

  • @AutoDebut usually they are but it goes to show its down to the drivers skill

  • MY CHUCK NORRIS LEG CAN STOP THIS BITCH !! *crashes* Yeaaaa maybe not..

  • or if he livd in washington and was a vampire

  • ahhh only if his foot was green and his whole body was green and his number plate said the hulk he could have stoped the car

  • should of pulled the e-break, turned right and gassed it.

  • @rally240 i wouldn't have hand braked it, he was trying to stop already, and that would require letting off the foot brake first. a simple weight transfer then gassing it, yes.

  • What a sissy. I could've stopped that truck with my foot

  • He thinks he's Fred Flintstone.

  • I think he got confused by the term, foot brake. lol seriously how dumb can a person get.

  • if you don´t know how to drive , DON`T DRIVE!!!!!!!!

  • why don't people know when to drive out of this kind of situation rather than brake?

  • good try, NOT.

  • this guys stupid for even tryig to leave his drive

  • you need four wheel drive ey with your foot off the brakes

  • He gained traction for a second when he let off the brakes, then lost it when he put the brakes on he should have given it some gas and turned away instead of turning his wheels into slicks by braking

  • idiot. power is more useful than brakes in that situation

  • @jspesh Brakes will work if used correctly. Standing on them and locking all four wheels isn't how you do it. What he thought he was going to do with his foot other than get his leg crushed between the cars I have no ide.

  • was he going jump

  • LOL FAIL!!!!!

  • fail

  • if i had that car i would just let it hit the others i wouldnt brake my leg over it

  • Right in the snow i'm attaching an anchor onto my car, HA F U Snow xD

  • Yikes, almost lost his leg!!!

  • @skatamasta , this car have ABS !! Because you hate subaru , you dont have to lie about

  • It's amazing how many people in these crash videos seem to think it would be the best idea to get out of the car, either entirely or like this guy- just his leg.

  • Threesome of Subarus

  • y lock up ur brakes in the first place? just pump them and put it in low.

  • @Crosby4hyg

It has ABS. It doesn't matter at that point, it was simply ice. Nothing could have been done except to not drive that day.

  • @Valendros no...its called a set of snow tires....studded or not...or chains. Hell i drove my 4wd tercel all over the ice last winter when we got a storm. It was easy and fun. Just stay slow....I kept it in extra low for the most part and never lost it.

  • Stupid Subarus!

  • i bet if he held the brake the whole time he wouldnt have hit the car

  • LMAO, why would you stick your foot out, crazy guy.

  • i rememeber once 2 years ago i was driving down a snowy hill ( admittedly speeding ) and the light turned yellow at the worst time and i tried to slow down, but clearly my wheels locked and i was heading through that yellow, just when things got worse, a car tried to make a left turn so i was really fucked so wat i did was, release the gas , turn all the way to the right ( where the car is coming from )and the step on the gas, loose the rear end and drift through the corner. I made it no scratch

  • @sranjesuper I don't think someone who forget that!

  • Simple to avoid : release break pedal, steer slightly to the right and put the tranny in neutral. You'll go directly in the soft snow bank on the side of the road. The bank is enough deep to slow your car to a stop. Maybe you'll need a towing after (a 75$ expense) instead than a damage repair over 3000$ in your car.

  • YABADABA DOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

  • he was a split second away from an amputated leg!

  • I have the same car.. in this situation he must steer, go with handbrake and do gas in first gear. it's the only way on this situation!

and what a strike of Subarus O_O!!!

    greetings form italy!

  • DONT brake, just stear, he already experince that by stop braking, he can stear the car, but anyway he starts to block the brake again....

  • One word (actually three): WTF!!

  • A very good example of what NOT to do on snow and ice. When he let off the brake and let the car roll he had control and was turning. His mistake was to brake and continue to brake. If he had just let the wheels roll he would have had no problem. The phrase "pump" the brakes is misleading. What you can do if there is enough traction is use cadence braking where you briefly brake and then release repeatedly. Essentially that is what ABS does very fast. Not usually applicable on ice.

  • You can see that he had traction as he started to turn the corner, but then he locked up the brakes and just continued on sideways. I think he would have made the corner had he just turned and coasted through.

  • presing on the brakes helps in some cases but the best to do is press on the gas and try to drift it around that rite turn he almost did but panic took over

  • @TOBYLT1 if he just do gas as you say, he would go immediately in understeering. Subaru are 50-50 awd, I've a Impreza and also a Forester. with the first one, you can drift in oversteering in most of the situation, but with Forester it's necessary to pull handbrake and then hit the gas..

  • What an idiot he shouldnt to brake just stear

  • Bad driving!!

  • one fraction of a second from having one detached legg..

  • That guy watched too many Twilights and thought he was edward cullin .. he stopped a van with his hand im sure his foot can stop a car!

  • So many idiots. AWD does absolutely nothing for stopping in slippery conditions. Also, drivetrain means nothing in these conditions without proper tires. There is nothing this guy could've done to avoid this (aside from slowing down earlier), as he obviously didn't have the right tires for the condition.

  • I just love watching videos from the US with cars sliding. 80% of vehicles are 4x4 SUVs but only 10% of drivers know how to make use of use this advantage. Not to even mention trying to steer the car with handbrake.

That's so pathetic and funny at the same time...

  • @magikk78 Really? Cool now go watch your own countries videos that nobody cares about.

  • Gas not brakes awd makes people fearless and dumb
