great advice! i agree that preparation is very important. It will really help if you cannot effectively express yourself to people. and it makes you feel confident because you know you prepared for it. another great vid is "jobseeker revolution" check it out.
Another important tip for first impression is when you're in the parking lot.
At one of old my jobs the HR Supervisor, and the President of the company had windows in their offices & could see outside, but people couldn't see inside.
I remember people were DQ'ed for driving stupid in the parking lot, leaving kids in the car, and doing other weird stuff, before even stepping foot in the building.
the weather, your journey, comment on how nice their reception is decorated or you could even ask if they have any last minute tips - anything really, as long as you come across as friendly and don;t interrupt oif they're trying to work or answer phones!
Hello,

It's a really nice talk and very useful to teach but it is a pity that the subtiltes coincide so little with the speech.

question...are long hair frowned upon (especially if you are a young graduate)
ehtax 3 years ago
I wouldn't say so - presuming it's clean and neatly styled.

No headgear?? I thought you Brits were all about "tolerance" and "multiculturism"?
DhimmiTube666 3 years ago
did you selectively ignore the part where she said "there are obvious religious exceptions"?
thats very rude.

take it the way you want to but I definitely did not see that as rude. She was just stating facts.
