I've never realized how similar Twilight Princess is to Ocarina of Time, but you know what? I'm okay with that. Most people's first Zelda experience was Ocarina of Time. Mine was Twilight Princess, and I'm so happy it's my first :) Nothing will beat Twilight Princess for me. The story, the music, the feeling, the emotion: Everything was perfect. I'm so glad I discovered Zelda. Best game ever made.

the zelda games are cool, but I didn't enjoy the controls in phantom hourglass, probably wont buy spirit tracks anytime soon, I hope the new 3DS Zelda game (not Oot remake) will be good and not with silly controls.
Your judgement should not change because you played a newer game. It´s like saying The Rolling stones were a good band but after hearing the White stripes, the Stones are overrated. It should work the other way around, liking the newer stuff less after you experience what came before it.

I think Oot is way better than TP. I even like ALTTP more than TP even though i didn´t play Alttp until last year on the VC so i have no fond childhood/nostalgia memories of that game.

My biggest gripe with Twilight Princess is how much it ripped of Ocarina of Time and other Zelda games. Nintendo just released to shut the fanboys who wanted another OoT up. Then they went and worked on the game THEY wanted to do: Skyward Sword. And it is better because of that.
By the way, Ocarina of Time is an outdated, overrated hollow game that pales in comparison to Majora's Mask, Wind Waker, and Skyward Sword. Get rid of your nostalgia goggles.

Ahh... I could watch and listen to both openings for hours and end up crying in the end. i love twilight princess, but oot brings TEARS to my eyes. Everyone in my class talks about stupid COD, when all you do is shoot people. (if i wanna see that i'll just go to the projects!) It's a shame like NO ONE in my class knows about loz.
Don't get me wrong both of these games are very fun but Ocarina Of Time it just it just ranks top with me graphics aren't that great but what was lacked in graphics was made up for in content and considering the time it was made these graphics were considered top notch plus the temples in Ocarina Of Time were much more challenging especially the water temple.
@MrMtheM Well you do realize TP was built to accommodate gamecube graphics. The Wii version didn't utilize the Wii's extra power at all, and there is a lot of extra power there to be had.
Twilight Princess was my first Zelda game, and I'll be honest. I thought it was hard... And then, I got OOT on the Virtual Console, and that's harder. Whatever. I might only love TP more because It was my first Zelda game, idunno. But OOT is just as good for me.

They should of have made the Ordon ranch a bit more... complex! It's cool and all, but it's mainly a big field with only one building. They should have put more buildings, a bigger variety of animals and more people.. Also more buildings and people in Ordon village would have been nice.. But still, Twilight Princess is a unbelievably great game!
Im only 13, but I still prefer OOT. OOT felt like a huge adventure with hundreds of secrets. While TP was mostly empty space with not much to explore. Also TP is a lot easier.
@puppie406 Well it was to me. Maybe not puzzle wize, but it was imo a lot easier to figure out what to do and where to go. Plus I found the enemys and bosses incredibly easy.

Overall I still like TP, but its missing things that made zelda so special. Also, why are enemys now so easy to kill? Atleast in the old games they were threatening (Zelda 1-ALTTP).

I feel TP is a step back from Oot when comparing towns.
TP Kakariko village has 2 residents and 3 houses to enter, you can´t enter a single house in Ordon V except yours and the shop and when the kids go there is nobody there for the rest of the game, Hidden village has 1 resident, there is no Gordon village. Castle town is ok but people there don´t talk to you and it has only 1 minigame but you can´t play it unless you have the hookshoot.
@wisleyakawzl nope.. kids today are used to realistic looking epic adventures.. back then, OoT was an experience never before seen in home consoles, with gameplay elements that have since become a standard in game design.. sadly, kids today are yet to see something as groundbreaking as what we experienced when we were kids back in 1998....

the way of battling enemies was very original(the flying with a shield or darknuts were my favourite) and the puzzles have every puzzle fan likes

I got Ocarina of Time after TP as well... what can I say - it SUCKS - back then. And TP just made fun after the 3rd dungeon (first time playing) after that (even the first 3 dungeons) it was awesome! (played through it 3 times), Well and OoT... played through it the first time on the 3DS, before only after the water temple and then stopped.

Oblivion is broken, it's glitchy, the story is decent, but the game play is horrid, too much walking, too little gaming. They should of have made the Ordon ranch a bit more... complex! It's cool and all, but it's mainly a big field with only one building. They should have put more buildings, a bigger variety of animals and more people.. Also more buildings and people in Ordon village would have been nice.. I feel TP is a step back from Oot when comparing towns.
TP Kakariko village has 2 residents and 3 houses to enter, you can´t enter a single house in Ordon V except yours and the shop and when the kids go there is nobody there for the rest of the game, Hidden village has 1 resident, there is no Gordon village. Castle town is ok but people there don´t talk to you and it has only 1 minigame but you can´t play it unless you have the hookshoot.

I got Ocarina of Time after TP as well... what can I say - it SUCKS - back then. And TP just made fun after the 3rd dungeon (first time playing) after that (even the first 3 dungeons) it was awesome! (played through it 3 times), Well and OoT... played through it the first time on the 3DS, before only after the water temple and then stopped.
