  • He would demolish OREGONS offensive players, not matter what number. He's a fucking beast. Team wise, I don't know about all that.

  • Sarkisian is a slut

  • Oregon has an outstanding program. I'm a huge fan. But Washington has been my favorite team since I was 2 years old. I'm glad Sarkisian has shown the initiative to restore the prestige of such a wonderful school.

  • woof!

  • shaq thanks for committing to the bears twice. talking about how cal was family. How your bro syd played at cal. You obviously have a really close relationship to to$h. Have fun following your pimp around in seattle.

  • @bigmarsh777 Too bad the guy who recruited him that he was very close to went to Washington. In addition to that, the guy who recruited his brother also went to Washington. So yeah, Cal WAS family. Now, Washington is haha

  • @bigmarsh777 Haters goona hate.

  • @bigmarsh777 Lol where did you get that off of the whiny Cal forum?

  • From Twitter:

    ItsShaqThompson Shaq Thompson(Grant)

Just committed to the UNIVERSITY OF WASHINGTON #HUSKYNATION

    WOOF!!! WOOF!!! WOOF!!!

  • Comment removed

  • @TheJIMNOTJIMMY He just committed to Washington. Supposedly, he planned on going to Oregon with Armstead, but changed his mind.

  • @UW fans Be warned about Wilcox and Lupoi. Both are ex-Cal coaches, and have shown that they are aggressive and driven individuals. I would not be in the least surprised if Wilcox took the next big head coaching job that opens up in college, and takes Lupoi with him to be his DC. Heck, they might even come back to Cal given Tedford's seat getting warmer every year. Just bear in mind, don't get to comfortable with them there, their power-hungry guys.

  • @phillipls Can Cal pay them like we can? We basically have blank checks when it comes to $ only 2 schools who can pay more are USC and Oregon.

  • Geez, the Oregon trolls really are coming out in full force.

  • Cal has 6 All-Pro caliber players in the NFL today: Nnamdi Asomugha, Tony Gonzalez, DeSean Jackson, Alex Mack, Marshawn Lynch, and Aaron Rodgers. Oregon has zero international recognition. Cal is known across the world, and is the #1 public school in the world, and always in the top 20 universities in the country. Cal has 27 Noble Prize Winners. Cal has the best facilities in the Pac-12, as noted by Taylor McNamara and DJ Foster. Let''s see the Oregon fans come up with FACTS to compete with that

  • @phillipls Too bad Oregon fans are too stupid to know that you type "Oregon Jokes" on Google. They probably think we are comedian geniuses.

  • @phillipls

Best facilities in the Pac12 as noted by.. two recruits? That's a fact? Ha. Ha. And you're whining about Oregon trolls? Still, a way funnier joke than those searing one liners down below about rice crispies and whatnot. I'm sure Cal's 27 Nobel Laureates and international recognition as a great public school were overwhelmingly significant factors for a guy like Desean Jackson who sounds like he can't even read, or Marshawn Lynch, who is one screw-up away from prison.

  • @phillipls

Which demonstrates that, despite all your boasting about Nobel Prizes and 4.1 GPA's, the FACT is that Cal sells out for talent and dumbs down its admissions reqs for athletics more than ANY other "elite" academic institution, and achieves less with the talent it gets than almost any other school, "elite" academically or not. Stanford for example maintains strict entry reqs even for athletes and goes to BCS bowls with nowhere near the top 10 level classes that Cal gets

  • @phillipls

In sum: the "facts" that you listed that actually are indeed facts are irrelevant. 4 nattys from the era before Americans drove "automobiles." Wow, sweet. Cal is a great school. Knew that. Relevant facts: Lost to UO last 3 years, going 7-6, 5-7, and 8-5. 0 BCS appearances, with 0-11(something in common with UW) and 1-10 seasons in the BCS era. UO = six 10 win seasons, 4 BCS bowls in same time period. Congrats on your fearsome pro style offense and nobel prizes.

  • Oregon automatically accepts a student if he/she has a 3.4 gpa. Most students with above a 3.0 gpa get in. The average gpa of a student accepted at Cal is a 4.1. Not enough? Cal runs a Pro-Style Offense that allows its offensive players to excell in the NFL. Oregon is a system offense. Name me one Oregon offensive player in the league today that has excelled. That's right, there is none. Oregon has 1 All-Pro caliber player in the NFL today: Haloti Ngata.

  • @phillipls Legarrette Blount for one and also Jairus Byrd. But u missed out on a big factor that weighs into a high school kids decision: winning, and winning big. Cal hasnt won a bowl game since '08 and hasnt had a 10 win season since '06. i want him to go to Cal too like his brother did, but to say that one school is far superior to another football/schoolwise is absurd.

  • I know our Oregon fans here will be up in arms now, but here it goes:

Oregon Nattys:0 Oregon Heisman Winners: 0 Oregon All-Americans:4 Oregon All Time Winning Percentage: .541 Oregon Conference Titles: 10 Oregon Players in the NFL: 22 NCAA Violations for Oregon Coming: Check Eight Players Arrested in One Year at Oregon: Check

Cal Nattys: 5 Cal Heisman Winners:0 Cal All-Americans: 27 Cal All Time Winning Percentage: .563 Cal Conference Titles: 14 Cal Players in NFL: 32 No NCAA Violations: Check

  • @TheJIMNOTJIMMY I expect we'll be getting some Cal and UW jokes on this video from the Oregon fans soon, but who cares, Oregon's just too easy to make fun of. I think we might be getting these jokes from the same site.

  • Here's another one: Q: What does a Oregon Ducks fan do when his team has won the BCS championship? A: He turns off the PlayStation 3

    :D

  • @phillipls hahaha that's for sure!

How about what is the difference between Rice Crispies and Oregon?

Rice Crispies know what to do in a bowl!

  • @TheJIMNOTJIMMY Well, it seems @wheatonspick is ignoring us, and insists on playing the same tune time and time again. I will be the first to say that @wheatonspick and @McChadwickable, I do hope you two and the other Oregon fans stick around and be classy when Shaq decides not to go to Oregon. Here's a nice little joke for our Oregon fans: Why do Oregon graduates put their diplomas on the dashboards of their cars? So they can park in the handicap spaces. @TheJIMNOTJIMMY You get the next joke.

  • Shaq do you really want to win only 6 or 7 games a year Max if so pick Cal or Washington. If you want to win some Pac 12 championships play in BCS bowl games and have a great chance to win a National Championship and play in the NFL someday pick Oregon. The 3 positions Oregon puts the most in the NFL CB/S , RB and TE. Make the right choice and come win the Natty next year Shaq. You and Boyett will make opposing O think twice before throwing on Oregon next year.

  • Anyone else notice that wheatonspick writes novels when making a comment?

I guess in Oregon it adds inches to your dick when writing multiple comments. Keep it up wheatonspick make up for some lost inches!

  • @TheJIMNotJIMMY Haha, so true. Cal and UW----Oregon in terms of being a good well-rounded institution.

  • BREAKING NEWS...

There was FIRE at the University of Oregon Football dorm today, unfortunately it destroyed 20 books.

The real tragedy was that 15 hadn't been colored yet.

  • Washington has 2 four star commits and Oregon 8 soon to be 13 or so plus a couple of 5 stars come signing day. Soon to be 9 straight wins over Washington from Oregon. Both Armstead and Thompson are good anoef to start as true Freshman at Oregon next year. A Boyett/Thompson S combo would be the best in College football next year at Oregon.

  • at Oregon and play in lots of BCS Bowls at Oregon Chip Kelly just turned down 7 million a year from the NFL to come back to Oregon and win some National Championship. Oregon has the best coaching staff in the Country and Washington and Cal don't and won't be making any BCS BOWLS ANYTIME SOON :)

  • Oregon might close with a top 5 class now Oregon has a great chance with Trey Williams,Nelson Agohlar,Thompson,Armstead and Thomas Johnson who huge would that class be not to mention Cedrick Poutasi as well Oregon always seems to land some prime time players out of the blue this year i'm thinking this year Oregon lands Trey Williams and Nelson Agohlar out of the blue. Coach Campbell the best RB in the Country is visiting Trey Williams right now. 5 SPOTS LEFT FOR Oregon come on Shaq win a Natty

  • Comment removed

  • @bmoeller09 Oregon isn't going to get Armstead or Shaq. Armstead is a Cal/ND battle, and Shaq is a Cal/UW battle.

  • @bigmarsh777 not anymore, he's staying at Oregon. This won't help Oregon's class though, they've already had one decommitment, and look for the other commitments to look around a little more.

  • @bigmarsh777 Ha so funny.. Kelly is visiting Shaq Friday!!! and castro was alright to loose.. Hello Armstead and Thompson please

  • bring that swag to UW baby DawgNation represent

  • @wheatonspick I know this just encourages you, but shut up. No one likes an Oregon dick rider.

  • Not sure where Thompson will lose more at Cal or Washington both programs are complete garbage lol his losses. Going to love seeing him try and catch Oregon fast and talented WR's and TE's like French,Huff,Blackmon,Dat,Vaughn,Lyerla,Kelley,White,Stanford,Sumler,Brown and Bayliss and hopefully Thomas Johnson as well man Oregon is going to have the best O in college football history next year thank god D.T. went pro because Marcus Mariota is the TRUTH 4 YEARS WITH MARIOTA AT THE HELM FOR OREGON :)

  • @wheatonspick Are you going to have room in the trophy case next to all those other National Championship trophies Oregon has won?

  • @wheatonspick Just lost three of your top four playmakers on offense. Please explain to me how OU will be better withough Thomas, LaMichael, and Barner. Seriously, and you're telling me that a FRESHMAN quarterback is going to give you the best offense in history next year? You just lost your best runningback ever. Get real dawg. UW's on the rise.

  • @wheatonspick thumbs up if you think this guys a eugene methhead?

  • @wheatonspick Well, Bryan Bennett will probably be the starting QB next year... but I'm glad you can name a bunch of names off...

  • @wheatonspick Hey bitch you aint going to be nothing in 2012 without Darren Thomas or lamichael james cuz they were your best players Huskies with the 2012 Heisman winner keith price go dawgs... Shaq's ours bitch

  • @MrHiguy1

Talk some shit after you beat us little buddy, but I think we might be even better. You guys got one recruit, whoopee. Even he wont save your D which looked sooooo fuckin good in that shit house bowl game you guys were in giving up what like 75 pts? You guys will be choking on Duck dick for the 8th year in a row yet again, make sure to work the balls

  • @19BCG87 LOL For a second I thought D meant Dick... imagine yelling at someone about their dick lookin sooooo fuckin good!

  • @19BCG87 your forgeting Lindquist, miles, Mickens, Wooching... all you got was an OT thats gonna amount to shit

  • Cal is losing all it's best recruits to Washington guess what Oregon has beaten Washington 8 straight times all but one time by at least 20 points soon to be 9 straight. Was hoping Thompson wanted to win a National Champ next year and come to Oregon but with or without him Oregon will as long as Oregon can hold the other team under 50 points. Oregon will score at least 50 on every team they play next year. At either Cal or Washington Shaq won't be winning any Pac 12 champs will Oregon wins itall

  • @TheAlexmurray Once Cal has hired its new coaches, and got this situation under control, Shaq's parents will be on him to why he commited to Cal. If he choose Cal for Lupoi, which he didn't btw, he will and should follow him to UW. Recruits should never commit to a coach, always to a university and its program.

  • This guys coming to UW

  • @bigmarsh777 For some reason, Oregon has really slumped this year in recruiting, and I have no idea why. Coming off a Rose Bowl win, it looks like Oregon will end up with the third/fourth rated class in the Pac-12 behind Cal and USC, and maybe Stanford if they keep up their hot streak. Not what you would expect from a team that killed it in recruiting last year, and won the Pac-12 title this year. They're off to a great start for 2013 with Oregon native Thomas Tyner though...

  • @phillipls Sanctions are coming and everybody knows it. (darron thomas)

  • @TheAlexmurray Darron Thomas left for the league because it makes sense.. not because of this sanction shit. He would like to help his family out financially, make money for himself, and risk getting injured. Anyone that knows anything about the situation knows what's going on, but you obviously don't.

  • @LeifErikful i was kidding about him knowing about sanctions although they might come. But he most likely wont be drafted I just dont see why you would miss your senior year to be a very very late draft pick or not even drafted

  • @TheAlexmurray Agreed... he's just praying for that rookie salary, and I don't think coming back another year would've helped thaat much

  • @tlbkcal I doubt many serious Oregon fans felt they had a shot with Shaq, it's just posters like @thetorplez who spam and hate on schools for no reason other than the prospect they wanted didn't have interest in Oregon. There's people like that in every fanbase though, they just troll for the kick they get out of it.

  • any defensive highlights???

  • @thetorplez Jealous much? If you don't have something pertinent to say about Shaq, stop posting here. All you're doing is hyping Oregon, want me to spam Oregon's recruit's videos with crap about Cal? Didn't think so...

  • @phillipls thetroplez is butt hurt that Oregon didn't get Shaq

  • @tlbkcal

watch as Cal doesnt, and you'll look like an asshole. i dont care where he goes, as long as that failure of a coach Tedford doesnt get him

  • @phillipls little faggot oregon fans are everywhere fuck need to go crawl back to the hole they came from.1/3 bcs bowl wins and they think they're the best because of some uniforms and their mascot lol. SC fan by the way.Shaqs a good player and I'd be lying to you if i told you we didn't want him.Probably don't need him but wouldn't mind having him.Him and Mcarthy damn.

  • Oregon has 25 spots total and is still adding 6 players Oregon will end with it's 3rd straight top 10 class in the Country this year.

  • @thetorplez 3 straight top 10 classes is nothing to brag about. Tell me when yall get 10 straight top 5 classes and 3 straight #1 classes.USC #1 then, now, always.

  • @BoxingProtege You still have to go to class when you come to CAL, so i think we are doing a good job recruting, considering that fact. Number 1 public school in america, unlike that football factory usc.

  • @ritemade lol somebody is jealous so they change the subject haha.

  • @ritemade USC is private. And its still top 25 in the nation academically.

  • It's going to be fun to watch Thompson to try and catch Barner 4.4 forty,Sumler 4.24 forty Vaughn 4.37 forty,Huff 4.4 forty Dat 20.61 200 Kelley 4.4 forty Blackmon 4.4 forty Lyerla 4.4 forty Stanford 4.5 forty all next year,. Next year Oregon 65 Cal 21

  • @thetorplez

tight end Lyerla 4.4 forty bwhaha..you really are an idiot!!!! cal is getting top players orygon even at the top can't get them...LMFAO

  • @bigmarsh777

you are a serious dumbass, you are talking shit about Cal recruiting when we beat your ass year after year. get real

  • Welcome to Cal Shaq, again! Roll on you Bears!

  • Oregon has the best Pac 12 class on rivals and scout right now at number 13 in the Country for both those 2 sites Go Ducks

  • @thetorplez That isn't going to last. Cal and SC are going to jump them in the coming weeks. Shaq and another player just commited to Cal.

  • @thetorplez Nope. Cal has the best Pac 12 class @ #10. Oregon dropped to 15.

  • Looks like Thompson is choosing between 3 terrible teams Cal Norte Lame and Washington and one great team Oregon i'm thinking he goes to Cal only because he is a legacy thier and his brother played. His losses lol at Thompson

  • Lol, Shaq's trolling up the media right now at the AA game. "Officially" he's down to Cal, USC, and UW (Oregon and ND as dark horses), with USC "on top" but its been reported by Gerad Martinez, the Rivals USC beat writer that Shaq is recruiting for Cal while he's at the game. Shaq's playing the recruiting game, no doubt about it. Seriously though, not sure how cool it is playing with all the fans emotions out there. There are going to be some seriously disappointed fans when he announces.

  • UW Huskies all the way!

  • go to oregon

  • @utahgs Lol man, you need to chill out, only kidding about the Mormon stuff. We we'll see how mediocre Cal is when they have better recruits than they ever have, and actual competent coaches. I see a PAC 12 title coming for Cal in the next few years. Roll on Bears!

  • @utahgs if you look back far enough, Cal has 14 PAC titles, and 5 National championships, so technically they can win the big games. Utah can't recruit against Cal either, and Utah has no shot at any ESPN 150 players, and only a few 4 stars. Utah will not be able to compete against the better PAC teams unless they recruit better. Still waiting for my answers...

  • @phillipls

Cal can win the big games? The last decade has shown me they can't. All they can do is impress recruits and play mediocre football. I'm talking about team success here don't come on here and gimme some bull shit excuses. And fyi Utah is not even 40% mormon. your ignorance is pathetic and living here is great, I can leave my front door unlocked and not worry about some gang banger running away with my TV

  • @phillipls

Hansen is more athletically gifted than Kline. Hansen played on two ends of the field at 4 different positions in his games and still managed ridiculous numbers at QB. 38TD's and a 7.8 rush average? In 5A football history it has never been done before. In bulk and speed, Hansen has Kline beat. Kline barely has an edge with accuracy. And then again, he hasn't been shown to be able to take big hits so Kline will have a rude awakening if he even manages to start for Cal.

  • @ I meant why did Utah lose to Cal lol...

  • @utahgs Where's my no-bs response to why Utah lost to Utah this year? And why Utah can't recruit with any Pac-12 schools? Why is Utah all Mormon? Are you Mormon? Can I make a Mormon joke? But most importantly, explain how Mr. Hansen is better than Mr. Kline? Answer these questions, and you shall receive your desired answer.

  • @phillipls

Utah can recruit with most of the Pac-12 schools. In fact, a load of ASU and UCLA commits have been dropping and coming to Utah. We're also in the race for a couple of big recruits who are considering Stanford and Washington. I'll admit, we can't recruit against Oregon and USC yet, but we are doing good. Let's not forget who has the better head to head record in Cal and Utah, who has 2 BCS bowl victories, 2 undefeated seasons, and one of the longest bowl streaks in college history.

  • @phillipls

Exactly what quality wins did Cal have this year? Besides beating Utah when they were hampered with major injuries? If losing your starting QB is an excuse for a loss, then you need a reality check. What exactly happened to Texas when Colt Mccoy went down? Or when Sam Bradford got injured at the beginning of Oklahoma's season? Please tell me. It took Landry a long time before Oklahoma started to win games. No matter what recruits Cal picks up, history has shown us they can't win big

  • @utahgs Oh really, James Montgomery transferred to UW stupid. Zach Kline was named CA Gatorade Player of the Year, and just gave De La Salle's secondary, which is one of the best hs teams in the country, a run for their money with a bad O-line and receiving core. He had 3,500 yds, 33 tds, and 6 ints in a VERY competitive league. I think you're just jealous.

  • @phillipls

Where's the reponse to the lack of 4 star recruits in 2009?

    Chase Hansen> Kline

  • No 4 star recruits playing in 2009??? Cal's 2007 class had 5, 2006 had 9, and 2008 with 7. That means ALL of those players were on the roster (According to Rivals). LOL. you are so dumb.

And by the way I wouldn't get to high on that Zach Kline recruit of yours -- the kid can't take a hit.

And all the trash talking you did on Chase Hansen --> Google chase hansen maxpreps and click on Stats. He would have been Considered as the Best Dual threat QB out of high school: 38 TD/9INT ; 7.8 YPC

  • @utahgs Jesus you don't listen, Cal didn't have four star recruits in 2009. They had all graduated, washed out, or were not playing in the game. How is a recent game not more relevant. Just in case you didn't know, relevant means bearing upon or connected with the matter in hand. Which reflects more on the current teams at Cal and Utah, a game two years ago, or one year ago? Maybe we should get off this topic, and return to recruiting, its going nowhere, so...how about this guy Shaq Thompson?

  • @utahgs Coming from the guy that said Cal had no excuse for doing well with their "great recruiting classes", you sure do seem to have a lot of excuses for Utah losing to Cal this year. "Our QB was out. Waaaaah!" Cry me a river, that game is much more relevant to Cal and Utah now than their '01 and '09 games which you love to talk about. From that game, one can see all the young talent Cal has, and how good Cal will be next year. Cal is looking at a probable 2nd place in the North next year.

  • @phillipls

How was this year's game more relevant? There were no BCS chances on the line this year for Neither Cal nor Utah. So this claim that a conference game is more important than a year ending Bowl game in 2009 is absolutely, ridiculously, WEAK.

When Cal wins the Pac 12 title and wins a BCS bowl game, maybe you can talk about how great your team is. Because quite frankly, the two undefeated seasons Utah has had is more impressive than anything I've seen from Cal in recent history.

  • @utahgs In the mediocrity that is the Mountain West conference, Utah's BCS wins don't count for jack shit next to Oregon's appearances as part of the Pac. I love how you like to talk about Utah's "recent" bowl wins. How about this year? Utah got their shit pushed in by Cal, and would've been bent over by Oregon had Utah played them. What Utah did in the Mountain West is irrelevant to their performance in the in the Pac, and from what is saw, Utah is a pushover for a school like Cal.

  • @phillipls

^^LOLUMAD -- especially since Utah while in the MWC with 2/3 star recruits beat Cal and their 4 star recruits. MAD.

  • @utahgs Ohio State has 5 BCS bowl wins in the last ten years, how is that not winning the big games? As much as I hate Oregon, I respect them getting to three BCS games from the PAC than Utah getting to two in the terrible Mountain West

  • @phillipls

Yea uhh...wanna include how many times Oregon and Ohio State have LOST in their respective bowl games? Yea bro. 2 undefeated season + 2 bowl wins> 2 appearances by Oregon and ZERO victories. DO your math

  • @utahgs Um, are you retarded or just high? Every single team you mentioned is a very good team, and have winning seasons. Just so you're clear, the definition of a winning season is an above .500 record, maybe you have a different idea, or just don't know math. In the last ten years, Oregon is 89-38, Ohio State is 105-22 w/ 5 BCS wins, ND is 72-52, Miami is 81-44 w/ 1 BCS win, Michigan is 81-44, Georgia is 98-33 w/ 2 BCS wins, and Arkansas is 78-48. Nice examples of non-winning seasons

  • @phillipls

Top recruits does not guarantee success and I said in the last 10 years --> those mentioned teams have very little show in terms of success (BCS Bowl WINS). Oregon and Ohio State may have gone to big games but they seldom finish with wins. Don't get on here and tell me top recruits is the only way to have an undefeated season. Look up Boise State, Utah, and TCU.

  • @utahgs Oklahoma State is the only school out of that bunch that consistently recruits well, if Utah was the in the mix with that bunch, I can see why they got Thomas. However, has Utah gotten a commitment from a player with many Pac-12 interest and offers yet, like Shaq or Arik Armstead for example, who, by the way, is a done deal for Cal according to sources within the Cal program. Utah, I'm sorry to say this, but will not be able to compete in the Pac until they start getting guys like those.

  • @phillipls

Top recuits does not = winning seasons. The proof? Look at Oregon, Ohio State, Notre Dame, Miami, Michigan, Georgia, Arkansas, etc....THESE TEAMS In the LAST 10 YEARS have very little to show for despite all the 4/5 star recruits they've received. And guess what, I don't lose sleep at night if Utah doesn't get top recruits, because we are still competitive with 2/3 stars and until recently, we've been pulling in more along 3/4 recruits with our move to PAC. THAT should scare you.

  • @phillipls

If Utah adds three more "4" star recruits in this class it will be the best class Utah has ever had. That's something great for the program. Because it will just get better year after year as we have seen with Utah since 2003. 8 years of football --> 2 undefeated seasons --> move to the Pac 12 --> more money, better recruits, more national exposure, additional facilities. It's going to be sweet. And we have all the right coaches we need to win.

  • @utahgs Call me a hater, but the Utes of Utah do not inspire fear in me, and I don't think their feared yet by any Pac-12 team. They were very close sometimes, witness the USC game, but had some inconsistency problems, like with Colorado, who should've been beat, even with the mediocre QB play Utah has now. I know you're gonna bring up the Cal/Colorado game now, but the main point to take away from that game is Cal won, even when that was arguably Cal's defenses' worst game in a loooong time.

  • @phillipls

Any UTAH fan could tell you their expectations season weren't high due to the problem at quarterback. The defense was tired out by mid-season because of the lack of production on offense, followed by a slew of injuries. fact is, UTAH started off the season strong and had USC on their heels -- then Wynn got injured, Devonte got hurt, and some lineman went down which just spelled disaster.

  • @utahgs I think I've had to say this twice now, Cal is not better than TCU or Boise at this point. Why you think I say that is beyond me Both schools have phenomenal coaches, which is something that Tedford has stopped looking like in recent years. Not a bad coach, mind you, but not the one that he used to be. Hopefully all the positive energy Cal is garnering through their recruiting and bowl game brings out the old Tedford who has the balls to go for a 4th down or two. *sigh, i miss him

  • @uthags Ok, Mr. Bigshot, let me get another crack at this. At the beginning of the seasons in '07 and '09, Cal had the potential I was talking about, but failed to utilize it through bad coaching, bad luck, and laying eggs on the road. But competing in the Pac is very hard week in and week out, as I'm sure Utah is discovering. There are really no "sure win" games, like what Utah discovered with Colorado, lol. I'm just kidding, but you get my logic right?

  • @phillipls

"At the beginning of the seasons" you know what...UTAH and BSU could make the same arguments you lay here and instead of having just 2 BCS bowl games they each could have attended 4. But the reality is, two of the seasons UTAH didn't go to a BCS game was because TCU was on fire. Don't come on here with your excuses. DO you realize how many SEC, BIG 12, and BIG 10 teams can make the SAME argument you are about "shoulda woulda coulda" played in a BCS game a certain year???

  • @phillipls

And NO. The Pac 10 was NOT strong in the previous decade. It wasn't until the last 2 years with the emergence of Stanford and Oregon that the PAC has actually been able to compete with the rest of the country. The proof is in the pudding--- prior to this emergence, the best bowl game a Pac school was going to post 2004 was the Rose Bowl where USC was only playing. Granted, now, the PAC has finally found good coaches and is much better competititon that what it was earlier.

  • @TheJIMNOTJIMMY On the contrary, it's never a bad time to blow off steam and have useless arguments with fans of other teams. But I agree, Oregon fans are the best to argue with. And about Shaq, everyone in the world knows where he is going to go, it's the worst kept secret in recruiting right now.

  • Shaq isn't going to Utah or Cal or anywhere else for the moment. He could potentially end up at either of those schools or Arizona State or Washington. So it makes no sense to have an opinion based argument unless its with a stupid as fuck Oregon fan.

  • @utahgs Oh, and did you hear, Darius Powe committed to Cal today. Yet another Utah target going somewhere else, tragic. Just more proof that Utah can't recruit against the big schools yet. No 4* on ESPN, and two 4* on Rivals. But wow, look who Utah beat out for Chris Hansen, Travis Wilson, and Justin Thomas, the three big shots of Utah's class. Only two Pac shools, ASU and UCLA. Utah CAN'T compete recruiting-wise with the rest of the Pac, and that will continue for the foreseeable future.

  • @phillipls

Powe was a Utah target, but Powe clearly saw how talented the Utah receiving group is and knew he wouldn't be playing for at least 2 years since Utah recruited receivers hard in the previous 3 years: Anthony Denham, Josh Gordon (Baylor transfer), Dres Anderson, Kenneth Scott, Travis Still, Pedroza, and Reggie Dunn

Point being: Utah isn't concerned about receivers right now, they are looking for linebackers, D and O Lineman ; 2nd responsbility being the secondary.

  • @phillipls

LOL Utah hasn't even started recruiting 4 star recruits till the last 3 years, and this could be Utah's BEST class. Put that into perspective will you... UTAH has TWO undefeated season with mediocre recruit, has put a lot of talent in the NFL, and are just beginning to tap into the recruiting base of Major Pac teams.

Cal should be scared. Especially with that idiot coach of yours Ted-FRAUD

  • @phillipls

All the 4 star recruits utah is going after are O-lineman, D-lineman and defensive backs excluding a few like Kelvin, Darius, Michael thomas.

btw, Justin thomas is a recruit from texas ranked 16 in all of defensive backs. If you're going to knock on a player that was pursued by Oklahoma State, Baylor, Missouri, and Texas Tech ...you're out of your mind.

  • @utahgsThank you for proving what I said, Cal did not execute in those years, but when you go back and look at the players and plays that defined those seasons, and what could have been. No Nate Longshore injury in '07, Cal would have been in a BCS game. I stand by what I said, Cal had the potential to be a BCS level team in 2007 and 2009, but the drive to win was not there, but Cal has it now, witness the way they turned it around at the end of this year.

  • @phillipls

Isn't this excuse that Oregon, Ohio State, Notre Dame, Miami 'Canes, LSU have been using the last 5 years as they have had ELITE talent and nothing to show for it???

I love your excuse for "look at the players and plays the defined those seasons" -- well bro, if you're going to lose over 4 games in a season don't give me this b.s. that you COULD have finished the year in the top 5 or even to top 10. Hell, no 4 loss team is going to finish even in the top 25. Get lost.

  • @phillipls

EVERY TEAM has the potential in the BCS. Want to know my proof --> UTAH BOISE STATE AND TCU. Teams with only 2/3 star recruits, with great coaches.

Boise State beat Oklahoma, Utah beat Pitt / Bama, TCU beat Wisconsin in their quests to undefeated seasons. Don't sit here and tell me this crap that "Cal had the potential" and claim that your "potential" is better than actual results. Utah = results ; Cal = unachievement

  • Phillipls: "There have been 2-3 Cal teams in the last few years that the potential to be Top 10, Top 5 teams, but didn't execute. "

    My response:

Cal 2010 - 8 losses ; Cal 2009 - 5 losses followed by bowl loss to Utah (Utah's rebuilding year w/ freshman QB after they had won the Sugar Bowl against Bama) ; Cal 2008 - 4 losses including Maryland ; 2007 - 6 losses

    DUDE YOU ARE A JOKE!!!

  • That would be awesome if he went to Washington but probably not gonna happen

  • @uthags Cal was playing in the Pac-10, a division Utah would have gotten its ass handed to in. Cal was getting some 4*, but they were few and far between, and not enough to make a good class. If you put those Cal teams in the Mountain West, Cal would've been in BCS games. Who said I was going to say Cal is better than Boise or TCU, I thought we were talking about Cal and Utah? I guess I shouldn't be surprised, you seem to be running out of material on Utah, so you have to switch to other teams.

  • @phillipls

You claimed Cal was only bringing in top recruits in the last couple years when they have been doing it since 2004. Utah hasn't had real high school talent since the last few years when Urban and Whittingham put us on the map. The Pac-10 had no dominant teams (prior to the emergence of Stanford and Oregon) in the last 10 years, outside of USC. So your assumption that Cal would have accomplished what Utah did with TWO undefeated seasons and TWO BCS bowl victories is a joke.

  • In 2004 Cal recruited 6, 4 star recruits. That's more 4 star recruits than Utah recruited between 2000 and 2008. And Utah had 2 undefeated seasons in that time span, and sent a large amount of players into the NFL. Tell me which team is better. Are you also going to make the argument that Cal> Boise State and TCU? In your dreams.

  • @uthags Um, what both years? Cal under Aaron Rodgers and co. were a few yards away from knocking off USC and going to the National Championship in 2004. FYI, since 2005, under Tedford, Cal is 21-3 in non-conference games, that's really good. In the same period of time, Utah was 20-6. Pretty even I would say, and Cal played quality OOC teams, including Tennessee twice and Michigan St. Utah played Michigan when they sucked, Oregon, and Pittsburgh. Whoop de do, big OOC games indeed

  • @phillipls Why are you talking about Cal going to a national championship when that season they couldnt' even win their bowl game against Texas Tech??? Again, just proving my point that Cal hasn't accomplished anything in the last decade...

You also forgot to mention that Utah's 20-6 OOC record...2 losses which came to Boise State in rebuilding years following their BCS victories.

  • in the Mountain West in order to go undefeated is a really dumb comment, almost every Pac-10 school could do that too, year in and year out. On your question on the dominant team in the Pac before Oregon and Stanford, ever heard of a school called USC, or do you folks in Utah not get out a lot. They were just the most dominant team in the early 2000's, that's all. Cal was always playing second fiddle to USC during that time. No USC, Cal is playing for championships. Utah sure wouldn't have been.

  • USC was the only good team of that last decade. Everyone was getting killed out of conference. The difference between Utah and Cal, Utah went undefeated and especially played respectable OOC opponents in both of those years

  • @utahgs If you read my rants, you would have seen that I said that Cal hasn't been getting 4* or 5* recruits until two years ago. Before that, they were getting 2* and 3* players, and doing quite well in a MUCH harder conference than Utah was. They should've been in the '04 Rose Bowl, but thanks to Mack Brown, they were cheated out of it. There have been 2-3 Cal teams in the last few years that the potential to be Top 10, Top 5 teams, but didn't execute. Also, saying Utah beat the MIGHTY teams

  • @utahgs Taylor McNamara, a TE prospect who just visited Cal had this to say about the new facilities Cal has. "The new facilities they’re building are incredible and will blow away Oregon and every other school when they’re done." High praise, but wait, didn't you say Utah's facilities were better than Cal's. Hm, so therefore Utah's facilities must be better than Oregon's. See the failure in your logic? Cal's $150 million, 145,000 sq. foot facilities kicks Utah's facilities ass.

  • Yawn. Cal still needs to win a conference title, or even come close to an undefeated season before they start talking about being amongst the best. Pretty sure Utah as a mid-major school back in the mountain west conference was achieving a hell of a lot more with 2 and 3 start recruits than Cal ever has with their 4 and 5 star recruits. And this was all before Oregon and Stanford were dominant. SO what's your excuse for underachieving in the last 8 years then phillipls?????

  • @utahgs laughable that your "attacks" on Cal are that immature. It's people like you who convince me that almost all college football fans on YouTube know nothing about the sport and pull shit out of their ass, lie, and make up fake arguments. Congrats on lowering the opinion of the entire Utah fan base.

  • @utahgs are much better than Utah's, Cal has 100,000 sq feet dedicated to weight lifting alone, and EVERY single recruit who has come to Cal has mentioned the great new facilities Cal has. You never hear anything to that degree being said about Utah's. Sixth, Cal has only recently started to recruit at a high level, and the players currently starting at Cal came from mostly bad classes, so all that Cal has accomplished came from bad classes. Seventh, Cal does not smell like sewage, it's laughab

  • @utahgs defense is good, the terrible offense was the reason Cal lost to Utah in 2009. Thirdly, Utah did not beat Oregon and Stanford either this year, you are in no place to pass judgement on Cal. Fourth, the point difference between the Utah and Cal games was bigger in 2011 than in 2009, and the 10 points Utah scored this year were in the fourth quarter when Cal's starters were out. Had it not been for Cal's starters being out, the final score would've been 34-0. Fifth, Cal's new facilities

  • @phillipls Dude you need to stop being mad. Utah has the advantage on Cal head to head. We've beat you 2 out of the last 3 times and the only reason we lost the last time was having our STARTING QB and receiver out with injury. Quit fooling yourself. Cal's facilities won't make up for it's lack of success. When you have 2 undefeated seasons followed by 2 BCS bowl victories, then give me a call. Till then, keep praying for an undefeated season. GOOD NIGHT!

  • Shaq said on his twitter that he is still deciding on whether to visit USC or Utah, and not both, so what you're trying to say is you hope he visits Utah. If anything, Shaq is going to visit those schools to recruit for Cal. He has been quoted as saying he wants Cal's class to be as good as possible, and he was the main reason Christian Okafor took an official visit to Cal and committed to Cal. On both their trips to ASU, Christian said all Shaq did was talk about Cal. Sorry man, Shaq is all Cal

  • @utahgs You're lying, Shaq is not taking an official visit to Utah. Go look at visit dates for Utah recruits on their rivals site, Shaq is nowhere to be found. Besides, don't flatter yourself, when one thinks of good defenses and NFL pipelines, no one thinks of Utah. Cal demolished Utah's defense, and would've dropped 40 on them if they didn't take their foot off the gas.

  • @phillipls

He is scheduled to visit Utah, Rivals doesn't have posted it yet but Utah was put in his top 4: a lot because of the influence with putting DB's in the NFL these last 5 years thanks to coach Scalley

  • @phillipls

You are saying Cal always has a good defense, and is superior to Utah's? Do you want to tell me what happened 2 years ago in that bowl game where Utah embarrassed Cal?

Utah got bugged with major injuries this season, yet they still finished in the middle of the Pac-12 and had one of the best defenses in the entire conference.

  • Eric Weddle --> leading the NFL right now in (6) interceptions and has one of the highest in tackles. Troy polamalu doesn't even have one INT on the season.

There's a reason why Weddle is paid the highest in the NFL, he does more work.

  • @wheatonspick Go to hell you troll, you obviously know nothing about Cal and its situation. Stop spamming Shaq's video, he's not going to Oregon, and go worry about how many Oregon players will be arrested this offseason.

  • Cal reminds me alot of Miami,Clemson,Ucla,Florida State,Miami teams that recruit really well yet are garbage each and every year. Keep Tedfraud Cal he is the best coach in the Country lol

  • HE SHOULD GO TO OREGON BUT EVERYONE KNOWS HE WILL MOST LIKELY CHOOSE CAL BECAUSE HIS BROTHER GOES THERE!! SHAME HIS TALENT IS MUCH MORE FIT FOR A WINNING OREGON TEAM NOT A 7-5 CAL TEAM, THAT SAID CAL HAS A GREAT DEFENSE SO MAYBE HE WILL HELP THEM OUT!! GO DUCKS!!!

  • @wheatonspick If you want to play the NFL pipeline game, get this: Cal players that could be drafted this year: 15 Oregon players that could be drafted this year: 10. Also, in case you forgot, Cal players in the NFL: 32, including Aaron Rodgers, Desean Jackson, and Tony Gonzalez, and Nmadi Asomugha. Oregon players in the NFL: 24 Cal's NFL pipeline > Oregon's NFL pipeline

  • @wheatonspick I'm glad you brought up Cliff Harris, he's a perfect example of the dumb criminals that go play for Oregon. In 2010, Oregon had eight players arrested and kicked off the team, that's just pathetic. If Oregon wants to sacrifice their dignity as a university so they can win a few more games, I guess more power to them. Oh wait, Oregon isn't really a university, it's just an upgraded JC in regards to education.

  • I almost feel bad for Thompson just because his brother played thier he is going to have to suffer through 7-5 on a great year for Cal hell that record for Chip Kelly would get him fired. Also no freaking way does Oregon lose to U$C if Cliff Harris the best CB/Punt/kick returner in the Country plays no way Barkley lights up Oregon Secondary with Harris plus Gildon playing no freaking way. Oh yeah Oregon is adding alot nicer faclities then the one that Cal is building that will be donereallysoon

  • @wheatonspick

wheatonPRICK you are the reason why oregon fans are looked upon as such d-bags. A 7-5 season is not a great year at cal, stop pulling things out of your ass.

Look, cal offers a much superior education, the bay area vs eugene is laughable, cal has more players in the NFL, shaq would be closer to home and his family can go to ALL his home games, cal is getting BRAND NEW facilities. Cal has a lot to offer. We will turn it around. JUST WAIT ASSHOLE.

  • Oregon puts 3 positions into the NFL almost every year RB,TE and CB's/S's Hell Oregon starting defensive Backfield from 2 or 3 years ago are all starting on NFL teams Ward,Thurmond,Chung and Boyd.

Did someone say that Cal facilities will be as nice as Oregon lol

Oregon top 5 College football stadium check

the nicest Basketball arena in the Country check

the nicest Baseball stadium in the Country C

the nicest student athlete support center in the Country C

the nicest locker room in the Country

  • Sorry Sumler runs a 4.24 forty my bad

  • @wheatonspick That's you're comeback, Cal has ugly cheerleaders? Just accept defeat graciously man, you're embarrassing yourself. I think you made a slight error with Sumler's 40 time. A 3.24? That sounds just a little off. Oregon can keep winning, but everyone will always know they did it by recruiting thugs and running a gimmicky-ass offense that doesn't allow its players to have success in the NFL. I wouldn't be surprised if Oregon is the most hated and dirty team in the country.
