My doctor went to the same med school as Conrad Murray, he said he was always lazy in class...

Murray's lazy thinking = take the easy way out and get paid a million/etc. a year at the same time... but only hard work pays off in the end (like my doctor). Taking the easy road only leads to 1. trouble, or 2. no money. In his case, it led to trouble, obviously.

Wow! Though I am not a fan of Chopra's, Imust say he has guts! He has led the way in holding not just Dr. Murray accountable, but all the doctors in Michael's life. The lawyer Oxman is equally outraged, and has said publically, that he would name names. Leonard Rowe in his interview with Joe Jackson said that Michael was not in control of his business. HE was controlled by people who did not have his best interest at heart. The Vampires.

I'm not a fan of Deepak Chopra (and think MJ was a great artist and decent, kind person) but some of you MJ fans are delusional. Do you really think so many people who loved and were close to MJ would be saying he had a problematic relationship with meds if there were absolutely no truth to it? Whether it was for physical or emotional pain, dependency on prescriptions is no simple matter and many people struggle/yo-yo/lapse and relapse with them forever. Anaesthesia for sleeping? Really?

Deepak was not that close friend of MJJ, used Michael for publicity. Lets not forget he is doctor of medicine, revealing infos about the ex-patient is not ethical to begin with. Deepak knew that MJJ had lupus since the '80s. Michael had sever burning on his scalp, lupus, vitiligo, other disease, and calling him now erratic, damaged, disfigured, seasonal addict. Tells you enough how good of Dr he is. What you make out of this? Run Deepak patients run u might be next on his hit list after ur gone

@mbloveskb That is my problem with Deepak. What he is saying about MJ may well be true. But just because something is true doesn't mean it needs to be shared with the whole world. I think Deepak dishonored his friendship with Michael by going on TV & calling him erratic, damaged, etc. The world may be curious about Michael, but it does NOT have any kind of right or entitlement to know every single detail of his life.

Why was their no pain medications in his system with the autopsy, only sleep medications?? Frankly, I think Chopra is talking about another time in MJs life, but why?? He spoke these things before the autopsy results came out. Chopra is making assumptions!!

Michael had a ver low tolerence to pain. Yes he needed the meds becasue he couldnt stand the pain without them. Lets say he decided to stop taking all the drugs. he prolly wouldnt have been able to get outta bed becasue of his lupus. But he knew he had to fight. What was he fighting for! HIS CHILDREN. I cannot belive he ever would have ever left them especially given his childhood trauma. he would never abandon them. it just got out of hand, with yes bad advice from doctors.

Amen, shanderc. I'vve been waiting for someone to mntion his lupus (which is an inflammatory disease which can prsent with good an bad days and inconsistent pain symptoms. I have autoimmune nerve pain and need Rx 24/7,, though I take safe drugs specifically to block nerve pain. I can't speak for MJ's Rx needs, but it seems to me he did not get good advice.

What about the people who actually need the pain drugs? Chopra gives people, like my mother, a bad name for having pain and taking the drugs. Michael was not addicted he built up a dependency to them. Addiction is being enslaved by drugs, but dependency to drugs means that the body needs them to survive. My mother has nerve damage from her last operation and she has to take vicodin constantly. With the drugs she would die, but taking them she's an addict? MJ wasn't an addict, he was dependent.

I'm sorry but I don't agree with your interpretation. Chopra was warning against the use of narcotics for psychological pain. Yes, during times of crisis narcotics are helpful (sedative drugs for the short term but never pain killers. And, even people on pain killers for legitimate purposes can abuse them. Some even sell them. He wasn't talking about someone like your mother. Thank God these drugs are available for those with debilitating pain and life threatening conditions.

Let's assume your mother sees her doctor for pain issues and she takes her meds as prescribed. She collaborates with her doc. They work together. That's not what MJ was doing. He was drug seeking-hired multilple docs and took multiple narcotics. His medication could not possibly be managed with any safety. How could it? Your mom is blessed to have such a caring daughter. (Trust Chopra...he's an MD who knows drug abuse when he sees. He is a noble man who could not be bought.)

Deepak is well spoken, caring, and clearly knows Michael Jackson better then many. My question is this, WHY IS EVERYONE SO FOCUSED ON HIS USE OF PAIN MED and NOT TALKING ABOUT HIS LUPUS???? Are you kidding me? Lupus is a good reason to take pain meds (yes, it sounds like he was addicted and dealing with emotional and physical pain w.the meds...sad) AND people die from LUPUS, is that just not as good of a STORY for the media??

having lost someone close to me recently to the h-bomb and oxy's i can state that know matter how much you want someone to get clean and be happy.....the only person who can make that happen is the person suffering in qustion.
