this is sad, i understand it all though. my mom and dad struggle all the time. its embarrassing for me and them. all my friends always brag about going shopping or getting to go to the movies or going bowling with their parents but i never get to do that. my dad is never home, when he is he is only home for a couple of days (literaly) my mom works all the time but only gets enough money for the bills and groceries. my family has fallen apart and we always fight and none of us really get along

@Chrissa1twin Depends on how you look at it. They do but she does not get into the family things like my daughters and I do. Not sure why but seems she is depressed all the time in self pity and she just confines herself in the bedroom watching TV all day until she falls asleep then she is off to work and repeats the cycle when she gets back. There could be some underlying healthy issues or maybe her unhealthy food choices that is causing this. I tried to help but she gets offended.

Which house. The old run down houses in the beginning to middle of the song are not our houses they are houses we saw when visiting friends in an old part of NY. We live much further south and the part where my daughters are running to the house away from the woods is our house and it is in the middle of 12 acres in the woods and no one would recognize that one since it was custom built in 1998
